CHAPTER 3
"Have you met the new neighbors yet?"I asked my mom.
We were sitting at the small round table in the kitchen eating dinner.
"Well I've seen the boy...he looks like bad news"Said Mom.
"I met him at school,his names Eriol,He sits beside me in all my classes at school.He's...nice"I said.
"Thats nice crystal,its goos youre making friends"
'she looked kind of distant.
"Something wrong mom?"I asked.
"Honey...I have someone I want you to meet."Said My mom,Carol.
A man walked in,he was handsome for someone older,he was tall,he had black hair,and tan skin.
"This is Carl,he and I are...together."She said.
I just sat there,frozen.
"Say hi,Crystal,Youre being rude."Said Carol.
"Whatever"I got up and went upstairs to my room.
I sat on my bed and layed back.
"Great..."I said to myself.
I heard someone come up my stairs,my door opened,it was Carl.
"Hey Crystal,It seems we got off on the wrong foot."he sat beside me on my bed.
"But we'll have fun...I promise."He said.
He put his hand on my thigh and moved it under my skirt.
My eyes grew wide and I jumped back.He laughed and got up towards the door.
"But I shall finish that later."He said.
He walked out and closed my door but no before I heard a faint'I promise'.
I ran to my door and locked it and sat back down on my bed.
I sat there for a long time,for like half an hour,just staring blankly at my wall.
'What just happened?'I thought.
I finally got up and took my shirt,skirt,and shoes off.
I put my deady bear PJs on and sat down on my bed.I then looked out the window and saw...Eriol staring at me from his bedroom window.
'Oh my God!Did he just watch me change clothes or....Oh NO!Did he see what Carl did to me?!'I thought frantically.
"Goodnight"He said as he turned around,took off his clothes except for his boxers,he walked over and turned his light off.
'Weird'I thought as I turned my light off and crawled into my bed.
"Now I lay myself to sleep,I pray the lord my soul to keep,If I should die before I wake I pray the lord my soul to take.God bless all,And I pray for the lost ones,Amen"I heard Eriol say from next door,apparently he left his window open too.
'Wow,he's christian'I thought.'I wish God could help me'I thought.
"He can"I heard a faint voice inside my head,it sounded like Eriol's voice but it was in my head.
'Odd,sounded like Eriol,guess my brains trick'n me,it has been a long day...'
I layed there and thought until I fell asleep into deams plagued with darkness and a boy breaking through it.
BEEPBEEPBEEP!!!!!
I fell outta bed to the sound of an alarm clock.
I stood up beside my bed.I also heard Eriol get up.I looked at my clock,4:00 AM...
'wtf'
I walked over to the window,it was still dark with a misty feeling and it was chilly.
"WHO THE HELL GETS UP AT 4:00!?"I whispered loudly.
"I do"He said as his head poked out the window.
"Youre crazy!"I said
"I'm not the one who talks to myself...Youre the crazy here"He said.
"How do you know I talk to myself?"I asked.
"I moved in 2 weeks ago,You leave your window open all the time and I leave mine open,I hear alot of things."He said.
'oh fuck,whatd they do?move in in the middle of the night and like go incognito?'
"Well...You're the one listening"I said.
"Who said I meant to see?"He asked cocking an eyebrow.
I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Childish...See you at school."He said,He walked away from his window and pulled on a pair of pants.
I decided to go on and get ready.I grabbed an outfit and walked to the bathroom.
'Shower time'I thought.
I walked down the hall but ran into an unexpected problem.
"Morning Princess"Said Carl.
I just walked faster into the bathroom.
'Why is he here?Why is he here?Why is he here?'Kept repeating in my mind.
I finally stepped into the shower,I seldom took LONG HOT showers but now was the time.
"What am I gonna do?"I said to myself.
'And what about that Eriol boy...'
Just then a sense of calmness came over me.
'weird'
I finished my shower and got ready for school.
I went back to my room to wait till breakfast,it was only 5:30 and I don't leave for school till 6:30.
Just then I heard Eriol in his room.
"Oi,Come to your window for a sec."he said.
"What?"I asked as I popped my head out my window.
He too had his head out his window,he was completely ready for school.
"Is there anything to do in this place for fun?"He asked.
"Just the small theme park over on Foggy Lane and the Mad Hatter Club on Venice Road in town."I said.
"You're gonna have to show me around,I need entertainment,girl!"He said.
"It's Friday so I'll show you after school.Kay?"I said.
"Fine with me"He said as he walked awy from his window.
"Well at least I don't have to come home to Carol and Carl now."I said to myself.
"Windows open,I can heaaaaaaar you!"I heard Eriol say.
"Mind your own buisnessssssss!"I said back.He laughed.
"How can I when you have a big mouthhhhhhhh!"He said back.
I stuck my tongue out at the window.
I shook my head and went downstairs for breakfast.
"Hey mom!Nate!...Carl."I said as i sat down and started to eat my waffle.
"Who were you talking to up there?"Asked Mom.
"Eriol,His window is across from mine and we talked this morning and last night."I said.
"Oh,The new neighbors.I havent seen the boy's parents yet but I have seen the boy.Is he nice?"Asked Mom.
"Yeah,he's ok.I'm showing him around tonight"I said.
"Like a date?"Asked Nate.
"No not a date,hes my friend....I think he's my friend"I said.
"oooooh,Crystal has a boyfriend!!!!!"said nate.
"He's not my boy friend dweeb!"I said.
"Time for school!Youre gonna be late Crys!"My mom said as she shooed me and Nate out the door.
"I don't think this Eriol boy is a good influence on Crystal"Said Carl.
