Yori whistled as he walked down the street. His tail swished in behind him in beat with his tune. People stared, but he didn't care. He was accustomed to it by now. His ears twitched as a familiar and heavenly smell reaches his nose. "Meow~" He smiled a fanged grin as he smelled the fresh fish. His stomach growled, reminding him that he hadn't eaten much that day. He'd done his work for on older lady who needed her furniture moved. It didn't exactly pay much, but it was enough to get some food.

Pulling the cash out of his pockets, he grinned as he hurried to the fish store. "One fish please!" he said as he set the money down. Already he was drooling, his tail swishing as he eyed the fish. His black identification collar, which was required for all of his race to wear, was itching him as usual, but that didn't matter. All that mattered was that he was going to eat.

The man grudgingly gave Yori his food. The young prince nibbled it on it as he walked back to where they lived. Without looking, he casually sidestepped people who just rolled their eyes in disgust. Humans didn't have the same zeal for fish as his people did. Oh well, their loss.

Alana shifted her feet as she stood outside her school. She has skipped her last class but she couldn't leave until the bell rang. Stupid security guards were looking for her. But if she waited just a little longer, the bell would ring and she could just blend in with the crowd. The bell rang.

"Bingo," she mumbled as the doors to her right busted open. She moved from behind the bushes and into the crowd.

Leaving the school grounds she threw her homework letter in the thrash and started towards home. Off to the side she could hear some of the school girls laughing. She turned and looked at them. They looked so happy. Must be nice to have friends. She smiled to herself. There was no way she could have bubble heads for friends.

Not paying attention to where she was going, she bumped into someone and hit the ground. Her school bag flew off to the side and in her lap landed a half eaten fish.

"Please tell me there isn't a fish on my skirt..." She was a vegetarian. Not because she liked animals, but because it pissed her aunt off. Her aunt loved meat.

Yori rubbed his head, a soft growl coming from his throat. "Aww, you ruined my fish," he muttered, his eyes scanning his meal. Well, it landed on her skirt, so maybe it was still okay. Reaching out, he grabbed it and sniffed it. "I'll forgive you, seeing as how it's still edible." Jumping to his feet in one fluid motion, he tugged at his collar before offering her his clawed hand to help her up.

Alana slapped the fished from his hand as she stood. It landed on the ground. "Is it any good anymore?" she asked and picked up her bag. "Don't grab things off my skirt again you perv," she warned and started walking again.

Alana treated everyone the same, even the Eldarians. They were all the same in her eyes. And grabbing things off her short school uniform skirt is not allowed. Not by anyone.

Yori's pleasant demeanor quickly faded as he watched his fish hit the ground. His fish, which he'd worked all day so that he could buy. "Bitch!" He shouted as she walked away. Grabbing the fish, he threw it at her, the fish hitting her in the back of the head. He smirked and stuck out his tongue. She got what she deserved. She should consider herself lucky that he hadn't bothered to throw it harder.

With a simple skip he landed on top of a nearby car, quickly jumping to the roof of the nearest building. Already humans were starting to gather after his little incident. He didn't want the cops to arrest him for assaulting him a human. So he might as well make himself scarce. Slinking into the shadows, he headed back to the boroughs to check on his sisters.

A crowd formed and started comforting her, but Alana didn't need it. She pushed through the crowd. "It's just a fish, people. Not a fucking rock. Jeeze. Find a new pass time," she groaned and walked away.

She pulled at her school uniform jacket and took it off. Using the ribbon from the tie, she pulled her hair up. Finally, she smirked. He was brave for a Eldarian. Most of them would have just walked away.

Yori peeked into his house. His younger sisters were curled up asleep. His older sister was probably out working still. His father was off somewhere trying to fight for Eldarian rights. What a joke. Creeping into the house, he grabbed a bottle of milk and smiled. Slinking back to his room, he counted down the hours till night time.

Four hours later, he finally moved again. Throwing on dark baggy clothes and pulling the hood over his head, his ears popped through the holes. The last thing he grabbed was the small strip of black fabric he used to cover his face so people wouldn't know who he was. He didn't want them to know that the Eldarian prince was out fighting.

"Going so soon?" His sister yawned as she cradled one of his little sisters in her arms.

"I'll be back soon," he promised, running his fingers over his baby sister's ears. "I'll make enough money tonight so we won't have to work next week." He winked at her, even as she sighed. She knew he was hopeless, but there was no stopping him.

Yori made his way to the underworld of the city. Already humans and Eldarians alike were gathering to watch the night's festivities. Yori nodded to a few regulars as he headed to the arena.

Alana ran down the streets. She loved the fights. If it wasn't for the fact that she was underage and a girl...human girl....they would let her fight too. She ran down the back way too it and paid the normal guy that was the look out and went through a few doors and some stairs until she finally reached the fights. She smiled. Walking over to one of the guards, he picked her up and put her up on one of the seven foot towers. It was a look out area for the guards to keep the peace and she was great friends with the one that helped her up on his.

"Did I miss anything?" Alana asked as she looked down at him.

"Nothing good yet," Gil said. "Alana, stop wearing skirts to these things. You make the boys stare."

Gil was buff, really buff. But he was soft hearted and that's why Alana liked him so much. He was in his mid twenties and he loved his job. He got paid well to do it.

"I don't care if they look. I don't wear it for them. I wear it because I can," she said.

Gil laughed.

Yori stretched, lightly, his tail swishing about his legs in anticipation of what was to come. He fought under the name of 'Haden', not wishing for others to know his real name. Already two matches had gone by. His was next, and apparently the bets on him were good. That made him all that much more excited.

He flexed his toes, his claws retracting as he stepped out onto the grounds. His opponent was a Eldarian who was twice his size. His forearms were the size of Yori's waist. This was going to be a fun fight.

"Alright folks! Your bets are in and the fights about to begin! We have Haden on the right and Scepti on the left. Neither have been defeated in combat, so one of them is going to lose that honor tonight! Let's begin!"

The crowds cheering made Yori...frisky. What could he say, he loved it. Their battle began, and almost instantly they were clashing against each other. Their movements were almost too fast for most humans to follow. Their claws tore into each other's flesh, and their tales whipped back and forth like biting whips. Though Scepti's claws were longer and he was more powerful then Yori, but Yori was much faster and agile.

Dodging one of Scepti's attacks, he jumped up on him. The claws in his feet dug into the other Eldarian's arm, ripping his flesh as Yori's claws slashed at his face. His tail wrapped around Scepti's throat as he fell down, avoiding another attack. Popping back up, he sliced through Scepti's tendons in his legs, causing the brute to fall down. Before he could recover Yori placed his claws by Scepti's throat. "I win," he said cheerfully.

The crowd erupted in applause.

"I can't believe it! That's got to be the best fight I've seen in years! I can't believe that either of them are still standing!"

"Blah..." Alana sighed.

Gil looked up at her. "Wish you were in there?"

"Yeah...I'd probably get my ass kicked but it would be such a rush. Help me down?" Gil reached up and he helped her off the tower and onto her feet.

"Leaving?"

"Yeah, I have a test tomorrow."

"Will you take it?"

"No, but it's a good excuse to leave. Don't you think?" she smiled. Gil laughed and she waved to him and started walking. "Haden...is fish boy," she said under her breath.

Walking out and into the back alley of the entrance, she noticed about five Eldarian standing off to the side. Alana pulled her skirt down hoping to be left alone. This wasn't the case. They circled her. At night, a young girl, especially human, was not safe.

"So...I guess I'm going to get raped now, huh?" she asked with a sarcastic tone.

One of them smirked. "Maybe...maybe not."

He lunged at her and she punched him in the face. He flew back and she screamed in pain. "God damn it! That fucking hurts!" she said holding her hand.

She hadn't even put a scratch on him but she did piss him off. One of them grabbed one of her arms and the another grabbed her other one. She struggled as the one she punched started to her with a large grin. She kicked him in the face and her eyes rolled back in pain. He laughed and they forced her to the ground. Alana never stopped fighting. She bit at them, kicked, and screamed.

Yori was whistling happily. His body was torn to shreds, and his sisters were going to be angry with him, but at least he made a lot of money. He was tenderly licking his wounds as he walked out of the arena. One fight was all that they were allowed. He didn't like that rule, cause it kept him from making more money; but at least it kept him from getting killed.

He was busy pushing his money into his pockets and licking his wounds when he saw the Eldarians piled around a human girl. "Let her go," he muttered. Kicking one in the face, he back handed another, and his tail wrapped around the neck of a third and tossed him back. "Raping humans is too much trouble. They're too fragile to have too much fun with. Just leave now."

The group stared down at the Alana who was holding her torn clothes to cover herself the best she could. Her face was still hard and she hadn't shed one tear. They huffed.

"She's no fun anyways!" one of them said and they started walking away.

Alana stood. "Yeah, you better run!" she yelled after them. She looked at the guy who still stayed. "Oh...it's you, fish boy," she said. She had to hold her shirt closed to keep it from falling off her and her skirt was in shreds, but at least she was wearing panties. "Thanks for the help, but I think I had them scared," she joked. She grabbed her wallet off the ground and handed him what she had in it. It was a few hundreds. "Here."

Waving to him, she started running back home. Hopefully she wouldn't get jumped again looking the way she was.

He looked at the wallet and shrugged. Taking the money out of it he tossed the wallet away. What kind of girl carried a wallet anyways? With this much money he could get a lot of fish. He watched the rude girl walk down the street. She might be rude, but she was evidently rich. That had to count for something. Pushing the remaining money into his pockets he headed back home. Tonight had been a good night. He'd not only managed to make a lot of money, he'd also sort of done a good deed. That had to count for something, right?

Alana laid in bed with thoughts of fish boy in her head. He seemed to be all in her world today. That drove her mad. Then again, she was going to have Gil start walking her home after the fights for now on. She rolled over and looked at the clock. It was late. She was so skipping school tomorrow.

Yori put the money he'd made into the small box. His sister had waited up for him.

"You look awful," she sighed. She was already taking out the bandages and cleaning aids.

"Well I feel pretty good. I made a lot of money tonight," he said with a smile. His smile quickly faded when she put the peroxide onto his wounds. Then he proceeded to hiss in pain.

"Stop being such a baby," his sister said, whacking him upside the head. "You're the one who wants to fight so you'll have to deal with being bandaged up too."

Yori muttered something beneath his breath, hissing every few seconds as she poured more peroxide on his wounds.
