Skyla took a deep breath. Now the scary part. Putting every piece in perfect order so everything would fall into a nice place. She feared the worst. She could see so much. She knew what was going to happen but every time she saw that door...there was a huge blank. Skyla could see the journey to it and she knew what it was. But as soon as she saw herself and the other walk up to the large door...it was just a large blank. The only thing that could explain it was that the door was guarded against Xenomorphs. People created with special gifts wouldn't be able to use those gifts while in the presence of the door. She closed her eyes as the guards took her cuffs off. She could see what happened after leaving the door...but never during the time she and the others stood in front of it. However....if everything went as she set it up to go, then it wouldn't matter what happened. She could put the pieces together. What happened after being in front of the door said everything. She knew how it would end up.

Small tears escaped her eyes as she thought of it.

Shepherd appeared a few minutes after Maven's departure. "I want that picture."

She nodded and held out her hands. Taking the pen and paper she sat it on the ground and closed her eyes. Picturing the door in her mind and the area it was found in, the pen rose on its own, sketching out every single detail as if she took a picture. Even the cracks in the door was perfectly.

When she handed the picture to him, he looked it over and nodded. "I'll run this through ever satellite image we can pull up, but I still expect you to give me the exact location."

"I need more time..." she said. "It's hard to see. It's guarded against people like me."

"You have two days. If you don't find it by them I'll consider you expendable."

"Go ahead. But you know even if you find the area it's in...you will never find the exact location without me. It's hidden. Push me all you want. Kill me for all I care. It won't speed up anything," she said with a shrug.

"Perhaps. Perhaps not. At the very least killing you would certainly make things less annoying around here."

"We do what we have to. I'm not afraid of dying," she said and messed with the flowers in her hair.

"Good. Only cowards fear death."

"Like I give a crap about what you think," she smirked.

He smiled as he looked at her. "I find it funny. So little time and yet that little angel that first came here is already long gone. Do you miss her?"

"Every second of every day. But in the end," she smiled, "I know what happens and I know it's all...so worth it."

"I see. I hope that the future doesn't disappoint you."

"It won't..."

"Good." He nodded and exited the door, stopping only to look back at her. "I think that for now you will not have to worry about any more power enhancers."

"Scared I'll over power you men?"

"No. I know that could never happen. I'm simply trying to keep your brain from being fried."

"How generous of you considering you will most likely kill me in two days."

"I don't want your brain frying before you're able to give me the location of the vault."

"Why would it matter? If I don't give it to you in two days I'll be dead anyways."

"Yes, but the drugs would likely kill you in one day."

"Understandable," she smiled.

"Now then, start searching the future while I go help Maven get set up again."

"Sure," she shrugged and yawned.

He nodded and closed the door behind him. Looking at the picture he smiled. "We can find this," he said as he looked up at Farrah. He thrust the paper into her good hand. "Get to work looking at that place. I want a location within the hour."

Skyla smiled.
"Oh yes, Farrah. Find it for him," she whispered as she sat in her forest knowing more than she should.

"Yes sir." She nodded, wincing as she moved slowly toward the computer lab. She didn't mind sitting down for several hours. She wasn’t suppose to do much until her broken bones healed anyways.

Skyla laid back in the grass. She ran her hands over it softly.
"Xavier...it's up to you now..."

"Hailey. How is Sven doing?" Sarah asked as she saw the little girl.

Hailey looked over at Sven as the car continued down the road.
"Okey Dokey!"

"Define okey dokey," she smiled. "He's been out cold since we left."

"He's alive isn't he?"

She smirked and rolled her eyes. "I'm not certain. I figured you killed him and are simply passing him off as alive."

Hailey reached over and smacked Sven. He jumped awake. "Wake up!"

Evana laughed hard.

Sven groaned and laid back down.
"Just let me sleep till I'm needed to kill."

"Oh that won't be for a while. We're not going to where Maven and Skyla are."

Maverick hit the brakes. Lana glared at Xavier. "You better have one good damn reason why we aren't."

"Simple. I don't want to."

"What the fuck!?"

"We can't just leave them there to perish!" Boris growled.

"They are our friends!"

"We are going after them!"

"If we go after them then we will accomplish nothing. Our goal is the vault."

Maverick's hands tightened on the wheel. "Alright."

"Maverick!"

"You can't be serious!"

Her kept his eyes on the road as he started off again. "Though we care about those two...we have to think of the world. What if Skyla led Shepherd to the vault? He could have more power than any of us could have ever imagined. The world would crumble even more. We have to get there before he does even if we have to leave....some of us behind," he said softly.

Everyone got quiet. He was right of course. They could go after Maven and Skyla but then the whole world would be in danger. They didn't need to be selfish. Maven and Skyla would understand.

"So you're saying that we're going to have to sacrifice them?" Boris growled.

"Oh I'm certain that Skyla and Maven will be able to take care of themselves."

"Boris...it's either them or the future for Hailey," Maverick said bluntly.

Boris hesitated as he looked down at Hailey who was sitting beside him. He sighed and closed his eyes.
"I still don't like it."

"I...don't think any of us do...but it's not much of a choice..." Lana said softly as silent tears rolled down her cheek.

"Where to, Xavier?"

"Go to the north until you reach the canyons," he told him, opening up his laptop to start his search.

Maverick nodded and turned off the road he was on. Lana looked back at the old road. It was the road that led to Skyla and Maven. Now...it just seemed so much darker and colder than before.

"We will be in the area I believe it to be within a day's time. So simply relax. There's nothing else we can do."

Lana buried her head in her hands. "Evana."

"Yeah, I know," she said. Moving to him they gracefully switched places. Maverick moved his arms around Lana and she clutched his shirt as she cried hard against his chest.

Sarah leaned back and stared out the window at all the dead...well, everything outside. If they could change it, would the world really be a better place or would it simply be something that people would try to control and exploit? Was anything they were trying to do actually change anything?

Skyla sat up. She stood and looked at the doors. Any second now...any second now Farrah would have the location.

"I found it!" Farrah yelled as she pushed open the door to Shpeherd's office.

Shepherd turned around, surprised by her promptness. "Where is it?"

"It's not far. We can make it in half a day."

Skyla went to one of the walls in the forest. Placing her hand on it she had hoped to feel some connection to Maven.
"It's time. It's time, Maven..." she whispered softly, almost broken.

Orders were barked over intercoms. Shepherd was making his move. Four guards came in and handcuffed her, chained her feet, and put a mask over her face to keep her from using her powers on any of them.

Skyla was ok with this. Her powers wouldn't be needed anyways.

Maven was unplugged from the machine, Farrah forcing her will on him as she got him dressed in his outfit and had him meet them in the vehicles. She couldn't believe it. After all this time it was coming to an end. They were going to be able to finish it. They were going to be able to change the world.

Skyla looked at Maven as she was ushered down the halls to the outside. Her head tilted up and she looked at the sky. Taking a long, deep breath and letting the sun warm her body, she stood there just to bask a bit.

"Keep moving," the guard ordered, his voice muffled by his helmet as he pushed her along with the butt of his rifle.

"If you push me, I can promise I will snap your neck first," she snapped. "Shepherd isn't even out here yet so leave me alone."

"Try it. You can't use your powers."

Skla turned to him and grabbed his throat.
"These things keep me from using Xenomorph powers but they do not keep me from using the power from those with gifts that were born for them." She threw him across the ground and started to the car. Even though she was an Xenomorph, she could still tap into the powers that Boris, Evana, and Maven had, even with all the gear they put her in.

He coughed and looked up. At her. "Bitch."A few of the guards snickered as they got in the car. Of course the driver was one of the few people who could handle her.
"Get comfy. It's going to be a long ride."

"Shut up and I'll be more comfy," she groaned and sat in the car.

"In that case I'll spend the entire ride chatting."

"Joy," she smirked. Looking out the window, it was as if she could feel Xavier and the others. A soft smile spread across her lips as she pressed her hand to the window. Soon.

"How far are we?" Sven asked, trying to break up the silence.

"We're far enough that we can't turn around and yet not far enough to be there."

"Wonderful."

"It's getting dark," Evana said as she drove. Hailey and Lana were both sleeping.

"Yeah," Sarah yawned from the passenger seat. "Want me to take over?"

"It's ok. Driving keeps me busy. Besides, this is the first time Maverick ever let me drive," she smirked.

Maverick smiled over at her as Lana shifted against his body.
"That's because the first time you drove my car, you ran into a house...my house."

Sarah burst out laughing as she heard this. "Were you drunk? Or just busy with other things?" She smirked as she looked back at Maverick.

Maverick laughed. Evana groaned.
"It was my first time driving! And look! I'm better at it!"

"Stop looking at me and watch the road before we all die."

"Even so, my first time driving I never hit a house. They're pretty hard to miss."

"There was something in the road, so I swerved."

"It was a paper bag."

Sarah just shook her head and sighed. "I wish I could have seen that."

"I had a whole in my house. My kitchen was ruined. I will never let her near my house with a car again. Ever."

"That's okay. Assuming we don't die horribly I can always teacher her how to fly a heli carrier."

"I would rather die."

"I'm sure you would."

"I can arrange that, Maverick!"

"Watch the road!"

Evana swerved away from a rock. Maverick grabbed his heart.

Sven closed his eyes and sighed.
"Please for Christ sake don't kill us. I would rather us not have to die in a car crash when we're so close to making me immortal."

"It's not my fault."

"So the rock jumped in front of you?"

"You're a jack ass!"

"Pull over."

"What?"

"Pull over!"

Evana glared at him. His eyes hardened. For a moment she thought of challenging him. "Fine!"

She slammed on the breaks and got out of the car. "Sarah, can you drive?"

"Sure," she said, trying to hide her smile.

Evana groaned and mumbled under her breath as she got in the back seat next to Sven. Her arms crossed and finally Maverick relaxed.

"Why hello gorgeous," Sven smirked.

"Shut up or I'll shut you up."

"That could be kinky."

"You don't have feeling in your cock. How in the world can you still be cocky."

"Years of practice. It comes natural now."

She rolled her eyes and sat back for the drive.

"Hey Sarah! Do you mind if I bone your girlfriend back here?"

"She's not my girlfriend and you do realize there is a six year old sleeping next to you and her over sized body guard glaring you down."

Sven looked over his shoulder at Boris who had pulled Hailey into his lap and was glaring daggers at him. Sven just shrugged and looked back to her. "So?"

"You really want to die, don't you?"

"No, I just find it funny how you're denying the fact that you want to."

"I never said I didn't want to. I just don't want your blood on me when Boris takes your head off your shoulders."

"How very considerate of you," he sighed.

"I know, I'm so nice," she smirked and looked out the window.

"It will be a cold day in hell when you care about someone other than yourself," he yawned as he pulled his hat down so he could sleep.

"One day, I'm going to shock you," she whispered.

"Huh? What'd you say?"

"Nothing. Go to sleep."

"That I can do." He closed his eyes and leaned down in the seat so he could sleep.
