Original Stories Fan Fiction ❯ Through Harushi's Eyes ❯ A New Rival ( Chapter 3 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Harushi was still in the first aid room, and the nurse and Yuji were still there too. “Yuji, you may go back to class now.” The nurse said.
“Wait! I-I feel a lot better now, so I can go too.” Harushi said quickly.
“Ok Harushi, if you really insist.” The nurse said in a confused tone. Harushi blushed bright red.
“What is this feeling? It’s different to the other one. I’ve never felt it before.” She thought to herself. Then, a voice deep inside of her said, Harushi, its love. Suddenly, Harushi’s heart beat even faster at the thought and she blushed even more.
“Harushi,” said Yuji, wanting to take her back to the first aid room,”what’s wrong?”
“Oh, nothing” she replied, waking from her seemingly disturbing thoughts.
In class, Harushi felt strange. It wasn’t a good feeling.
“Yuji. He’s so far away, I can’t stand it.” Harushi thought as she stared at him across the classroom.
“Harushi, do you know the answer?” the teacher asked.
“Um...sorry. I’m not sure.” She said as the faces of the other children turned grave. Because Harushi misses school so often because of the concerns of her mother, everyone thought there was something wrong with her or just hated her. They thought she might crack.
“That’s ok.” The teacher treated her as a small child. “What about...”
“I know the answer, sir.” A girl interrupted. “Pi times r squared equals area.” She answered in a smart-allec voice.
“Well done, Muri”
She looked at the person next to her, which just happened to be Yuji. She smiled at him, and he smiled back. Rage and anger poured into Harushi’s heart. She frowned at Muri.
“Show off.” Harushi thought. “That’s not fair! Yuji is- I want- AGH!”
