Original Stories Fan Fiction ❯ Through Harushi's Eyes ❯ Troubles and Secrets ( Chapter 4 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]
After school, Harushi finds herself walking next to Yuji. “Yoo-hoo, Yuji! Wanna walk me home?!” Muri yelled over the many other voices.
“I’m sorry! My house is this way!” Yuji yelled in the same way. Muri looked surprised, and then stormed away angrily.
“Ha! That outta teach her a lesson!” Harushi thought. All through the walk home, Yuji and Harushi glanced at each-other awkwardly, and when their eyes met they would look straight forward, as if nothing happened. The autumn leaves blew in the wind, and the only noise heard was their footsteps. Harushi suddenly felt a sense of foreboding, and everything started to fade, as before. She saw a pair of feet walking. It was dark. She saw the tip of a gun. Then she came back to reality.
“Harushi, are you alright!” Yuji said. “Harushi!”
“Oh, sorry. I thought I saw something.” Harushi lied. They kept on walking, but the foreboding Harushi was feeling was getting stronger. Pat-pat-pat. She stopped in her path, and put her hand out to stop Yuji. “Someone is here.” Harushi said before Yuji could say anything. “Hide.” They hid in a dark alleyway. Harushi put her finger to her lips. Suddenly, someone grabbed her from behind. She let out a scream.
“Harushi.” Yuji whispers, stunned. He looked wide eyed at the deadly scene. His heart missed a beat.
“Let go of me! Let go!” Harushi yelled. The man who was holding her was wearing a black suit, and sunglasses, even though it was dark. The other man was dressed the same.
“I’ve got her, this is the psychic one!” the man holing her said. The other man put his hand in his jacket, and took out a gun. At the sight, Yuji sprang out of hiding and into action. He was protecting Harushi.
“No, Yuji don’t!”Harushi yelled as tears ran down her cheeks. The man pointed the gun at Yuji. “Don’t shoot! Yuji!” she was now bawling. Yuji ceased to move.
“If you keep struggling, well shoot the boy.” The man holding the gun said. Harushi stopped straining. Everyone was silent as the man aimed the gun at Harushi’s head. The wind started to pick up. There was an ominous glow in the air, and it seemed to be coming from Harushi. Her expression changed from fear to anger and determination. “Ahh!! What the-!” the two men jumped away from Harushi. She looked them in the eye. They tried to run away.
“Stop!” she yelled, forcefully. They, somehow, obeyed. The wind was now like a hurricane. Harushi put her hand out towards the men. “Disappear!”
The two men blew away with the wind; the only thing left was blue dust.
“wh- what is this!” Yuji stuttered. “Harushi! Are you ok?!” He ran over to her side.
“Come on. Let’s go.” Harushi said as if nothing had happened. She tugged the clueless Yuji along.
“Hey, what the hec was that! And who were those guys!!” he asked, desperately.
“... I don’t really know, but I have to tell you the most of it. I kind of have psychic powers, and I think it has to do with... you know, before. And those guys back there, there are plenty of them out there. I think there part of an organisation.” She explained. “Bye. My house is this way.”
“Bye.”
