Original Stories Fan Fiction ❯ Through Harushi's Eyes ❯ The Fight ( Chapter 12 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Harushi needed a way to attack. She had never hurt someone with her powers before. She heard the sizzling of another mass of psi, and created a temporary shield. The ball rebounded, but dissimilated. Harushi tried to create a ball of psi. It worked, but it hurt her hands. She threw it at Yuji. Miss. She tried a number of other times, but it always missed. She got frustrated. She channelled her anger towards her hands, and they started glowing. Harushi shot psi out of her hands, and they hit Yuji. She had done it! But she wouldn’t dare kill him. “Yuji! I don’t want to fight you!!” she yelled as she dodged his attack.
“Do you really have a choice?!” Yuji hissed at her. Harushi had decided. She no longer loved Yuji, so she attacked at full power. Her hand was a weapon, she was a weapon. Is this what she was born to be? Her anger kept her going, no matter how much she cried. The battle went in a pattern. He would attack, she would dodge, she would attack, he would dodge. It wasn’t going anywhere. She decided to try a new weapon. She visualised a sharp, shiny, sparkling sword. She imagined its power, its beauty. And, there it was, in her hand. She swung at Yuji with full power, and the sword hit him. He was hit, and a rip opened in his stomach. He was severely hurt. Harushi had no choice but to kill him. “I’m sorry, Yuji. I hope we meet again someday.” Harushi said as she punctured his heart. The scenery of the park was back. Yuji was gone. Harushi tried not to think about him. But there was one thing she had forgotten. Muri! Muri was watching the whole thing, listening to every word. She hadn’t moved. Harushi rushed over to Muri. “Muri!! Are you Ok?” Harushi tried to talk to her. Muri didn’t respond immediately.
“Is it all true? Am I dreaming?” Muri stuttered. Harushi couldn’t lie to her. All the way home she explained everything to Muri. Harushi doubted that she would believe her, but was surprised when Muri nodded. Harushi realised that her and Muri were friends now, not rivals. She found that comforting.
