Original Stories Fan Fiction ❯ Through Harushi's Eyes ❯ A New Beggining ( Chapter 13 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Over the next few months everything was going well for Harushi. Her grades were better, her mum found a new job, they weren’t worried about Harushi’s health anymore, and she had made a new friend. One day after school, her and Muri decided to head off to the park, the last place they both saw Yuji. When they were there, none of them cried. Harushi hated what Yuji did to her. In the midst of her thought, Harushi suddenly remembered something. “There was something I left behind that day. After I killed him, I stepped on something, but it was too dark to see.” She said as she ran towards the spot where the battle was held on that fateful night. There was nothing there. “I should’ve known. Someone would’ve taken it by now.” Harushi said, disappointed.
“But Harushi, there is something there now!” Muri exclaimed. And so there was. Harushi picked it up. It was a stone wrapped in a piece of paper. The paper had words written on the outside of it. It read: Harushi, before I go, I wanted to tell you that I was acting on that night. I was told to, as my life depended on it. It was actually me who fell in love with you, not the hypnotised me. If you don’t believe me, that’s OK, but I have something to prove it. Go to the cliff at night, any night. It doesn’t matter. Please believe me. From Yuji.
Harushi was confused with the letter. She didn’t know whether to me sad, happy or angry, so she decided to be none of them. She unwrapped the stone. It looked like any ordinary stone, but she kept it anyway. She wondered what Yuji meant.
