Pick Me, Pick Me
-Reily-
It's not over yet. I still have this… artifact inside me. I still
don't understand what it is. I don't like it. But I can't take it
out. Melissa embedded it in my soul. Someone tried. But that didn't
work. I still have it in my soul. I doubt this will be the last
attack against me.
However, I am not alone.
Quinn saved me from Hell. I barely know him, but I have seen him at
my school. We never crossed paths. But he knows who I am. I have so
many questions.
“Hey!”
Quinn and I looked up. Melissa stood behind him, waving.
“Where have you been?” I asked. She grinned.
“Oh, you know,” she said. “Just fighting off bounty hunters. The
usual.” I frowned at her.
Then there's her. She got me into this in the first place. She put
the artifact in my soul. Now, I am being hunted. Quinn turned his

“He's bitten,” Melissa said.
“Huh?” I asked.
“It's a demon bat,” she said.
“A what?” I asked. Melissa smiled, no she grinned at me. I raised
my eyebrow.
“Do I want to know?” I asked.
“Uh-huh!” Melissa said. I rolled my eyes. She was going to tell me
anyway, wasn't she? I should've known.
I threw up my hands.
“Fine. What is it?” I asked. She broke down and told me
everything.

The pain keeps getting worse. I don't know what to do. I don't want
to kill Reily but I have to protect her. I don't want to be a
monster. My body trembled.
That weird lady offered to help me.
“I know how to cure the poison,” she said. I don't know if I can
trust her. But what choice do I have? Things are about to get
worse. I can already see it coming.
It all started with a note under her door.
