Oi, what a day this has been. he thought as he walked down the unlit hallway.

"Kusa! Megumi's coming to pick me up. You're going, too!"

"Why should I?" she yelled form behind the locked door. "Why can't we just both stay here?"

"Kusa-chan, what if they come here to look for you? You have blood all over you!" Trying to get her to cooperate was harder than he thought it would be. Kusa opened the door.

"They saw you, too. They'll go to your huse, too."

"Megumi isn't taking us to my house. We're going to the police station."

"What!? Why?" she slammed the door again.

"We have to! If we don't, we'll only get in more trouble than if we just go." The doorbell rang. "That should be her." He walked to the door and opened it.

"Hideto!" She wrapped her arms around his neck. At the end of the hall, she saw a blonde-haired woman. Blood was on both of her arms and all over Hyde's jacket. "Who's that?" The blood made her feel sick.

"You-chan, go get cleaned up. We have time. Megumi, that's the girl I was talking about. Her name's Kusa, but we were calling her You-chan." He explained. Saying 'we' hurt. He missed his friend, even if he didn't show that to Kusa.

"What happened? Why does she look so horrible? And why does she have your jacket?"Megumi wanted her questions answered before the other woman got back.

"Sit down." Hyde motioned towards the couch, noticing that his wife looked like she would faint at any moment. "I'll be right back." He walked down the hallway to Kusa's room. Finally the door was unlocked. The room was a mess from teh day before. Blankets lay on teh floor and the smell of sin filled the air. "Kusa? Where'd you go?" Walking over the bed, he saw a katana's sheath. "Ah, chikusho, she better not have..."

"I better not have what?" she asked, holding the sword at Hyde. A bit scared that she might actually kill him, he jumped backward.

"Ku-san..what are you..." He took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. "Give me the sword now, we don't need anymore deaths today." Instead of handing over the blade, she backed him up against the wall and held the tip of the sword right below his adam's apple.

"Dear, are you ready yet?" Megumi walked into the room. Horrified, she froze in place. "What's going on? Stop it!" She had no idea what was happening or why her husband was about to have his throat slit right in front of her. "Ku..Kusa-san, please, don't do this! We know you're sad about Gackt-san, but, it's not his fault!"

"You think this is for revenge?" She growled. "I know it isn't his fault. But he saw me kill Kuri-san."

"You think I'll tell on you? Why would I..?" He stopped talking once he felt a drop of blood on his neck.

"Kusa-san! Please! Neither one of us is going to tell anyone! Just don't kill him!" Kusa didn't say anything, but she did take the sword away from Hyde's perfect neck. She walked over to Megumi. The older woman had fallen to her knees and buried her face in her hands, unable to watch.

"Kusa-san! No!" Hyde yelled.

Megumi looked up to see the hilt of a Japanese katana in front of her. "What are you doing?"

"Take it." Kusa ordered. "Stab me through the heart with it."

Megumi didn't want to take it. "I refuse to kill you."

"If you don't, I'll only kill more people."

"Megumi, go back in the living room where it's safer. I don't want to drag you into this. I'll take care of her."

"Just don't get yourself killed. I don't think Japan can take two rockstar deaths in one day." SHe kised him on the cheek and left, closing the door behind her.

"She's right. If you kill me, then a lot of people are gonna wanna kill you."

"Like I care!"

"You may not want to admit it, but you do care. I know you do. Or else you would have killed me right hten and there!"

"Do you want me to?" Instead of pointing the sword at him again, she put it back in it's case and put it on a shelf.

"Come on, let's go." He led her into the bathroom and turned the water on. "Now, are you gonna be good or am I going to have to bathe you?" Rather than giggling like she normally would, she just stared at the floor. "Kusa!"

"Fine, I'll go with!" she snapped.

"Good girl." Hyde walked out and closed the door.

"Is she ok?" Megumi asked as her husband sat next to her on the couch.

"I don't know but..."

"Let's just go. What if she goes crazy again and tries to kill one of us? Or both of us?" She stood up and tugged on his arm.

"She won't. I know she won't." He assured her. "Now I can explain to you what happened, ok?"

"Mhmm." Megumi listened to as Hyde explained all of what had happened. Right when he finished, Kusa appeared around the corner.

"Are you forgetting something? What we all did yesterday afternoon?" This made Hyde a little nervous, but not as bad as he had been fifteen minutes ago.

"That isn't important right now." He tried to stop her from telling.

"It's fine. I know what you mean already. Let's just go." She walked to the door and turned the handle.

"Mhmm. Hayaku, Kusa-chan." Hyde grabbed Kusa's wrist and dragged her out the door and into the car. "You-chan, are you ok now?" He sat in the back with her.

"Hai." she said as shhe wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. It was the kind a small child would give her parents after a nightmare. Yet it was now given by a woman in her twenties. "Hyde-san, I'm so pathetic. I haven't changed at all since I was little." All three of them laughed. "I'm sorry i almost killed you, And Megumi? I'm sorry for what happened the other day and...:

"It's ok, you don't need to apologize. Those things happen." She said forgivingly.

"Yea, I'll get what deserve." He sighed and wiped a tear from Kusa's cheek. "Just smile. gackt wouldn't want you to be sad. I'm sure that he and Kamimura are looking down at you right now. Maybe even sitting right next to you.

"Heehee. I guess your right." Smiling as the car stopped in front of the building, she clung to Hyde nervously as she got out. "Hyde-san, I'm scaaared! What if what if what if..."

"Ku-cahn, calm down. Stop clinging like you're in kindergarten. Quickly, Kusa her arms away from him.

"Gomen ne." she blushed.

"How could they accuse someone as kawaii as you of murder?" Megumi added.

"But I did kill someone." she said in a quiet voice. "Not only did I kill him, but I drank his blood. If I wouldn't have run into you guys, or if you wouldn't have followed me, Gackt could still be..." tears were once again welling up in her eyes. "Come on, before I change my mind."

This time, it was Kusa dragging Hyde. The three walked up to the front desk. A tall man was standing there, looking through a pile of papers.

"Hello. How may I help you?" he said, still buried in his work.

"Um, well, we'd like to speak with someone." Hyde spoke up bravely.

"Oh, we've been waiting for you," The officer looked up and faked a smile. Grabbing teh radio from his pocket, he said something into it: "Hyde and the blonde-haired woman are here."

"Hai, you can send them in." Said a woman's voice.

"Follow me." Megumi, Hyde, and Kusa were led to a small room with a table and chairs. There was a police woman sitting in a chair.

"I am Officer Ichino." she said. "Please, sit down." LIke the first officer, she seemed overly happy to be investigating a murder. Kusa felt even more nervous. It was like she was at the dentist's office where everyone was trying to be nice to make the patients feel more comfortable. "No need to be scared, I only want to ask you a few questions." The first was of course of where they were at the time. Hyde and Kusa said that they were with him, and Megumi said that she was at home with her daughter.

"So, where were you when Gackt was murdered?" Kusa hated the last word and cringed when the woman said it.

"We were outside with him. She, " he pointed at Kusa, "was talking about her friends and then, out of nowhere, he was shot."

"Do you have anything to say, Miss?"

"I left Gackt and Hyde to run after the person. He's dead now, as you already know."

"I see." Ichino was writing every detail down on a notepad. "Were you with him in the hotel?"

"Yes." she continued without Hyde's help. "We were getting ready for bed. He was already laying down. Once Hyde and I got there, we were awake for quite awhile. I knew the exact moment that he..." she stopped to fight back tears. "When he died. I didn't want to stay, so I left."

"Left to go where?"

"To the alley where Kuri-sempai was waiting."

"Kuri? Is this the man that killed him?"

"When he came out from the shadows, I..."

"Continue, please."

"I killed him." She managed to say. "I stabbed him, and then I drank his blood." Naturally, the detective was skeptic against the idea of vampires.

"You have to be kidding. That's not possible."

"The news reports say his blood was drained, correct? Don't say something's impossibe." Angrily, she stood up, sending her chair flying backwards towards the wall. "Do you need proof?" She began to walk towards the lady with her mouth open.

"Uh, no, I believe you." She picked up her radio and whispered something into it. "OK, now, Hyde, did you witness this?"

"Yes. She almost did the same to me, but she passed out when the sun rose, so I carried her back to her house."

"Megumi-san, did you witness any of these events?"

"No, he called me from her house and had me bring them both here."

"Am I going to die?" Kusa asked.

"Ku-chan! What the hell's wrong with you? Do you want to die?" Hyde scolded. "Listen, no one is going to die! Stop beeing so negative when we're trying to help you!"

"Did I ask for help? I can.."

"Stop fighting! Both of you!" Megumi begged. "Ichino-san, please continue."

"That is it for the questions. Oh, may I have your name, m'am?"

"Kusa. Kusa Areruson."

"Thank you. Now, if you'll follow me." She still seemed too happy to Kusa. They walked through a series of hallways for about two or three minutes. No one said a word.

Finally, they reached their destination. They were looking through a huge window into another large room. In the room, was what looked to be a table with a body on it covered with sheets, which is what it was. There was also a man standing in the room with a mic attached to his collar. Speakers were on the ceiling in the room that the others were in. The man was wearing a black coat and a police uniform. He also had on white gloves. Finally someone who looked like they belonged to the police force rather than a therapist office.

"Officer Manami will take it from here." With that, Ichino turned a light on, revealing chairs, and left.

"I am Officer Manami." the man said. "Today, I am in charge of identifying this body." Kusa buried her face in Hyde's arm like a two-year-old, fearing that it would be Gackt. Even though they most likely wouldn't need help identifying him. "According to Ichino's notes, this should be...Kuri-san?" He pulled off the top of the sheet, showing that it was indeed Kuri.

"Ku-chan," Hyde laughed, "You can look." Slowly, she looked up and saw what she had done. Kuri's eyes were half-open. His neck had indeed been split on one side, the side facing the killer. To Kusa, he looked like he would get up at any moment and get his revenge.

"Yea, that's Kuri." she squeaked and nodded. "Haido-san, when can we leave?" He didn't answer, but instead gave her a pat on the head. Manami scribbled down a few notes on his notepad and walked out from a door next to the window.

"So, this is the man that killed Gackt Camui?"

"Hai."

"And that you..." he checked his notes again to see if he read it right. "Stabbed and drank blood from?"

"Hai. I'm going to be killed, aren't I..." Still being her negative self, earning her a light slap from Hyde.

"Well, usually yes. But there may be another way. If I could choose, I would let you live. In my opinion, a life does not equal a life. But that's just me."

"That's what I usually say. I told him not to think of it being for Camui, but because he was a human who used non-humans for his own enjoyment..."

"Doesn't that count as a life for a life?"

"I don't know anymore."

"What is this about drinking blood?" he asked shakily.

Trying to lighten up the mood, Hyde said something of his own. "Are we acting out Moon Child on purpose?"

"Kei."

"I was joking, Kusa."

"Kei? Who's that?"

"Kei-chan. My spider. He bit me every night and drank a little of my blood each time"

"Ku-chan, you can't be serious." Hyde looked at her like she was nuts.

"Since the last time, I've had this strange craving for blood. On full moons, my teeth would get sharper and I wouldn't go outside for days." The rest of the time was spent sitting in total silence until Manami left. About an hour later, someone else came in. It was Ichino again.
