"You need to thrust more, and keep your arms tighter when your swing. It makes your limbs less of a target. It's something I should have done yesterday." Neron walked toward her. He was limping, as if both his legs were bad, but that was nothing short of a miracle compared to yesterday. His right arm was a rather atrocious sight. Flesh now descended past the elbow, and the bones were growing first, the skin following after.
As he limped toward her, he nodded to the blade. "You have a good stance." He ran his hand over her body to straighten her pose. "So, you're really committed to hiding out rather than living back in the city. That is going to make going to...college, hard." When she looked at him in surprise, he shrugged. "I'm a light sleeper."
She felt guilty instantly. Had he heard or seen them kiss? Pulling from him she looked at him. "Umm...no offense...but right now you are really creepy..." she said. "And I'm not worried about college. Seems rather stupid."
He nodded and moved away from her. "I do not think that you should forsake your life for this. If I should perish within a month's time, your sacrifice would be for nothing."
"I can easily pick up where I left off. College isn't going anywhere and neither is my family...at least not for a while." She turned her back to him. "I've made my choice. I'll live with it."
"If that is your choice I will not argue with it, though I do not think it is the wisest course of action." He walked closer, keeping his right arm away from her, he caressed her face and leaned in to kiss her, just to taste her lips. He nibbled on them and sucked, his tongue running over her lips as he pulled away. "A kiss to help me get better," he smirked.
Mia blushed. "I'm...glad I can help..."
"You helped tremendously," he told her, his hand cupping her face. "It was thanks to you that I was able to defeat Anastasia. As Keith said, your heart helps to determine what powers become available to me. Thanks to you, I now have my miasma."
Mia smiled. "Then I will work really hard! I'll make sure my heart stays strong and...happy!"
He chuckled and pressed his forehead against hers. "Is there anything that I can do to make you happy?"
She pulled from. "Go back in that house and get better," she said smirking. "I'll practice with the advice you gave me. I use to take gymnastics...maybe I can remember some of the flips and stuff."
"Don't make it too flashy or you'll end up hurting yourself."
"It's just practice," she said shrugging. "Go." She pointed to the house.
It was late that night by the time Neron's arm finally took it's normal form. He flexed his fingers, smiling as his arm healed. No sooner had it healed, however, than a silver band appeared and snapped itself to his wrist. Sighing, he stretched and looked over at her. "Almost two days to heal, but at least I'm able to move again."
Mia looked at him. "Let's go to the river....I want to get some of this dirt off me," she said. She had practiced all day and now she just wanted to clean up.
He nodded and offered her his hand. Hefting her to her feet, he followed her to the river. The moon was already out, and its pale light reflected on the dark waters. "The last time I was in a river a serpent grabbed me and pulled me under in an attempt to drown me."
Mia laughed. "The most we will have to worry about is snakes," she said. Taking off her clothes, she sat them on a rock. Pulling out her bag of bathroom things she had packed for the hotel, she looked at him. "You'll need to bathe too." She pulled out soap, shampoo, and some rags.
In the night sky, she could barely make him out since the only light was from the moon. It make her being naked more comfortable. Slipping into the river, she began to shiver before going completely under.
Though she could barely make out his form, his eyes were much better than her's. He could take in every subtle curve of her body, and it made him shudder with desire. Undressing, he stepped into the cold water and swam out to where she was. When she came up from the water, he wrapped his arms around her.
Mia stiffened in his touch. The cold water made her shiver but his warm arms seemed to be all she could think about. "Neron...I thought...I thought you didn't want to be with me like that..." she whispered. He had never actually come out and said that he wanted to be with her. She had thought he just wanted it to be that one time...which was why she couldn't help but blush from his kiss earlier.
"Why not?" His arms pulled her tighter while he nuzzled her neck. "You said last night that you deserved more. I have no idea about anything in this world; but I do know how to treat and love a woman. My time here may be short, or I may be able to live my entire time in this world. Regardless of what happens, as long as I am here I will be bound to you, and I can't say that I truly mind that."
Mia moved her arms around him, cupping his back. "I don't want you to feel as if you have to be with me..." she said against his chest. If he heard all that last night.... "Neron...I kissed Keith..."
"I know," he told her. "But I also know that you refused his advances." His hands slid up her back so that he could cup her face.
Her heart sped up. "I had my reasons."
"And just what might those reasons be?" He brought his face closer to her's so that they were just inches apart from each other.
"I..." she started but seemed to lose her words as she stared into his eyes. She leaned in and pressed her lips to his, her hand going to cheek as she deepened the kiss.
Neron's tongue wrapped around hers. His hands slid back to her waist as he leaned in hard against him. His breathing picked up, and he couldn't tell if it was him or her that was suddenly feeling so excited. Pulling back, he smiled as he let her tongue slide out of his throat.
She shivered again, the wind brushing against her wet body. Slowly she allowed her eyes to open. Inching from him, she grabbed the shampoo. "I...I have to bathe..."
His hands caught her from moving further. "You never told me," he said as he stepped toward her. "What were your reasons for ignoring his advances?" He looked down at her and kissed her collarbone and neck.
Mia set the shampoo back down. "Keith...he and I....we....don't mix well."
He nodded. "He wants a one night stand, and if you give yourself to someone you want more. Am I correct?"
She nodded slowly and swallowed hard. "Yes."
"And tell me, do we mash well?" By now his body was pressed against her once more. "I can assure you that I have no interest in just one night of pleasure."
She blushed. "It...depends...." she said in a shaky voice. "What... do you want from me?"
"A lover. A companion. A connection to this world that I've been thrust into." His hand came up to her face so that she would have to look at him. His heart was pounding in his chest and his cheeks were luminescent. Not because he was feeling these things, but because her emotions were overriding his own. "I want you to be you; and to be by my side."
Mia suddenly felt hot again. Even the cold water couldn't control the heat around her. "Ok..." she whispered. It was the dumbest thing that had ever come out of her mouth and yet she didn't realize it. Her thoughts were jumbled at his words and she felt she could just melt in his arms. Her heart was overwhelmed and she knew that if she could just hold onto that feeling in battle, Neron would have his powers back before she could blink.
Neron felt the warmth consume him, and soon something was pressing against her inner thigh. He looked down at her, and pressed his lips to hers. It was gentle, teasingly massaging her lips. His tongue flicked over her lips before he pressed harder and pulled her against him. He had no idea what okay meant, but he would take it for now. Mia moved her hands to his shoulder, using them to steady her. She shifted lightly as more of him pressed against her, sending surges of heat and tingles over her body. She moaned lightly into the kiss and pulled back. Was her second time really going to happen under the moonlight in a river? Did it really matter? Neron rubbed himself against her as she shifted in the water. The heat made him bite his lip while his hands slid down to cup her thighs. He trailed kisses over her warm flesh. His hips bucked so that he could keep rubbing her while he teased her body. Mia shifted again. Even if it wasn't her first time, it all still felt fresh and new. She moved her arms around his neck and jumped. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she felt more of him tease her opening.
He was surprised as she suddenly leapt onto him. A smile teased his lips as he held her against him. His cock primed at her entrance, he soon found his lips locked onto hers as he pushed the tip of it into her. Mia tensed once more as his cock started to slide into her. She deepened the kiss, slipping her tongue in his mouth and running one of her hands through his hair. He pulled at her hips while he worked himself into her. he slid in easier this time, but she was still on the tight side. He worked himself in as deep as he felt he could, moving in and out of her, the rush of water between them was unlike anything else. With their combined sensations of joy, ecstasy, pain, and thrill, their entire bodies seemed to tingle. Mia held nothing back. She moved back slightly to watch his face while she moaned and bounced on him Her hands moved to his shoulders and then one moved to his face. She could feel his enjoyment and that made her heart swell. Her heat pounded fast and she was doing everything she could not to blurt out something she might later regret.
Neron's lips trailed on her sensitive skin. He nipped at her flesh, his hands ran over her, and he felt himself starting to build. His eyes met hers, her face a mask of joy and pleasure. He watched as her breasts bounced with each thrust. He felt the sensation himself, and the phantom pleasure was almost more than he could take. His heart was beating quickly, and he groaned as he tried to hold back his orgasm. Her hand caressed his cheek, letting him know it was ok to let go. She moved her lips to his and nibbled on the hungrily, increasing her bounces so she could feel even more of his pleasure. He whimpered with desire while she bounced harder. The feeling of her hips slamming against his, the mixture of pain and ecstasy, it was amazing. Biting his lip, his grips tightened on her as he let go and came inside her. Mia moaned against him as he came, her body feeling it full on as if she two was having the orgasm.
Neron’s cock throbbed inside her, releasing every bit of cum of he had. His lips somehow managed to find hers in the midst of everything, and he kissed her hungrily with every ounce of passion he could muster. Her body shivered as the heat slowly left them and the cold water around them brought them back to earth. Her hands cupped his face and let his kiss drown out everything around her.
His breathing was heavy, but even as he pulled back from her lips. Staring at her in the moonlight, he smiled as he moved some of her wet hair from her face. "I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship," he said, quoting the lines from a black and white movie he'd seen on the television at her house.
She smiled and slipped away from him. Grabbing the shampoo, she once again went under to wet herself again. "We...really she get clean now."
He chuckled and met her under water. Coming back up, he pushed the water from his eyes and grabbed the soap with a smile. He wondered if he'd ever done anything like this with any of his former masters. He couldn't remember, and he didn't really think that it mattered now. This was the present. That was the past.
They washed and rinsed off then got out and Mia grabbed her clothes. They had no towels and her clothes were filthy so she didn't change into them. Instead, she started back to the house naked. She shivered and couldn't wait to get back to the warm fire waiting for them.
With one fluid motion she was in his arms, and he was carrying her toward the fire. Setting her naked form down, he found that he was having a hard time trying to keep his eyes off of her. He found their clothes and tossed her some of hers while he grabbed a pair of pants. Now that he was better, he needed to focus on regaining his powers more than anything.
Mia slipped on some panties and a loose shirt, nothing else. Sitting in front of the fire, she started brushing her hair out and looked over at Neron. Smiling, she moved under the blanket and pulled at him until he joined her. Her arms wrapped around him. If only they could stay like this forever she could just forget the world and never have to worry about death or sacrifices again.
Neron smiled as he held her beneath the covers. Kissing her forehead, he yawned and nuzzled her neck. "Tomorrow I get to start my training," he said, smirking into her neck.
She yawned against him and nodded. Training. More training. Eventually, she would be a master at it. She found that kind of funny. Closing her eyes against him she drifted off to sleep thinking of how much she was already missing her family and Keith.
The next morning Neron was up at the first sign of light. His arms were extended as his blades sliced through the air. He moved with quickness and precision. He knew all the routines, arts, styles, and anything that he could use to kill his opponent. Centuries of fighting had made him a master at it. By the time the sun had risen, he had been training for hours, yet he still hadn't broken a sweat. Taking a deep breath, he tried to remember the feeling when he had launched his miasma. The black gas sifted from his lips and began to devour the life from a tree.
Mia woke and moved her hand over the blanket. Her eyes opened when she noticed Neron wasn't with her anymore. Sitting up, the blanket slid off her body. She could see through the broken windows that Neron had been true to his words. He was training. She stood and got dressed, put her hair up, and grabbed her blade.
"Hey!" she called too him before reaching him so she wouldn't startle him.
Turning to her he held his hand up to stop her. "Give me a second to get rid of this." He waved his hand through the miasma which had already eaten through most of the tree. "If this stuff gets on you it'll devour you."
She stopped and waited. "Yeah...if I kiss you am I going to lose me face?"
He looked at her and smiled. "Want to give it a try to find out?"
She looked hesitant. "Not...really..."
"It hasn't hurt you yet, has it?" He stepped toward her. "I control my powers not the other way around. Believe it or not, my miasma is one of my less terrifying powers."
She hesitated again, but stepped to him. "If I can't feel my lips after this, I'm stabbing you," she warned. Leaning in she pressed her lips to his. No, it didn't hurt or burn. She dipped her tongue in his mouth and smiled. Nothing there either. Pulling back she smiled at him. "You're off the hook."
He chuckled and caressed her cheek. "The miasma is an ethereal poison which devours and destroys anything that it comes in contact with. It doesn't actually originate inside my body. It's just that when I need it, when I use it, it appears." Shaking his head, he stared down at her. "It's confusing, but it works."
"Good enough for me!" she said and shrugged. Holding up her blade she smiled. "Care to let me kick your ass!?"
Without crouching he jumped back nearly ten feet from her. Extending his blades from his wrist he bowed. "Come at me if you wish, but do not blame me if your clothes end up in tatters on the ground."
"I don't have many clothes. Don't do anything stupid just to see me naked," she said as she charged at him.
He smirked as she charged at him. She thrust her blade at him. It was a good solid thrust, but it was too predictable. He easily backhanded her attack with a swipe of his hand. His free hand shot outward, purposely grazing the flesh on her neck as he spun around. "Never attack unless you can properly counter. Every time you attack you leave yourself open."
Once more she came at him. This time she swung the knife horizontally, and when he sidestepped the attack, she thrust it at his chest. She was mixing it up, but it still wasn't good enough. He caught her blade in between his hands and held it there while she struggled to pull it back. "Let me rephrase that. Never strike unless you know it's a sure thing. It's better to be patient and wait for the perfect opportunity than to be restless and die before your chance comes."
Mia smiled at him. Kicking him in the chest, she freed her blade and flipped back, her hands connecting to the ground throwing her back as she flipped three times to give herself room. She was rusty with the gymnastics, but she remembered the basics, and a lot of her cheer leading moves were still drilled into her head from high school. Thrusting her hand out she smirked. "Ok then. You come at me."
He nodded. "You're going to regret asking that." He calmly walked to her, taking his dear sweet time. Just as soon as he got close enough he lunged. His right hand went out, but as he predicted, she jumped back to avoid it. Her knife went up to his chest, and rather that avoid it, he stepped into it. With her blade in his chest he quickly brought his blades to her throat. "Another lesson," he said, keeping his voice calm and level even as blood began to pour from his wound. "Be careful that when you do strike, your blow is a killing one. Right now you have injured me, but I could kill you. A wounded enemy is still your enemy."
She looked at him. "This is a lot harder than the movies make it out to be."
His lips pressed against hers before he let his blades fall to his sides. His hands gripped hers, and he grunted as he pulled back, blood cascading from his open wound. "I've had many lifetimes of practice. Do not be upset because you cannot beat me. You're doing well, all things considered. I couldn't have asked for a better guardian. "
Mia smirked at that. "That's because you can't remember all your masters," she said and rolled her eyes as she started to the house to get bandages for him.
"True." He walked with her so that she could bandage his chest. After they were done with that, he stared up at the skies. "I wonder how long it will take the next one to find me. The game has changed so much since last time. Back then, we were kings, queens, and gods. We were well known. We had armies, castles, shrines, and monuments to our greatness. Finding us was no hard task. It was simply getting to us that was the hard part. Now, it seems that we're forced to stay in the shadows and fight using a new set of rules...."
Mia laid in the grass at his feet while watching the clouds. "I wonder what we will do when they find us. We don't know how many there are left since we are thirty years late." She glanced up at him. "Do you remember if there were any of you that got along?"
He shook his head. "I remember that Loki and I use to have a blast on occasion, but my memories of the others are faded. The only reason I remember Loki was because I met him. I probably wouldn't even know the others now." He kept extending and retracting his blade in his arm. Watching as the flesh spread apart to accommodate it. "Even then, it's not as if we hate each other. It's just that we all have a job to do. Though some of us are more zealous than others."
She ran her hands over the grass as she looked at the cloud. "That girl you killed...she seemed to really dislike you."
"Yes.... I do not remember much about her, but I do not think she was always like that. I think I must have made a lot of enemies before my curse. That is all I can think of. I must have done some awful to earn the animosity of my god and my brothers and sisters."
"Or....you did something great and they all judge you for it. Hate can come from both good and bad."
As he limped toward her, he nodded to the blade. "You have a good stance." He ran his hand over her body to straighten her pose. "So, you're really committed to hiding out rather than living back in the city. That is going to make going to...college, hard." When she looked at him in surprise, he shrugged.
