ÿþ The minutes turned to hours, and hours to days, one week finally passed. The announcer was blaring out over the PA system of the stadium stats of the Pokemon that were to do battle in the tournament. Machop was leaned against the wall smirking, watching as his replacement entered the stadium for her first battle. He followed her out into the stadium and looked her over. She was more beautiful in the light than any other creature he had ever seen before. He walks over and offers a hand to her, before speaking to her. She took his hand as he spoke.

"Good luck out there today... You've got me in the first round, so make me proud." He winked at her as he walked off, waiting for when they called him to battle. The trap was set and there was no way he was gonna fail this time. Battle after battle ensued, and the final battle of the first round grew nearer. The announcer introduced the two Pokemon and they entered the battle arena. Hariel smiled a bit, "Sorry I have to do this to a sweet lady like you, but I got a mission and I'm not gonna fail!" As soon as the battle began, Hariel hit her with a Thunder Wave to paralyze her. He then used Flash on the crowds and when the crowd regained their sight, both were gone.

"What the..?! The Pokemon are gone!" The announcer called out shocked. The Charmander's trainer just smirked a bit as he left the stadium. He was glad she was gone, one lest that he felt he had to feed and waste time on...

Elsewhere, Hariel took her into the old warehouse hideout and placed her at Jet's feet before going back into the shadows. The young Charmander looked out nervously over all the Pokemon she saw watching her from the shadows. Jet stepped forward and kneeled, "Greetings young one... My name is Jet... You have been brought here because we found that your trainer was abusing you and we just don't stand for that..." He reached out for her to comfort her and she jerked away weakly.

"Liar! My trainer only does that cause he loves me... He loves me and I love him... That's why he disciplines me..." She said weakly, tears falling from her eyes. Hariel laughed a bit from the corner.

"That's so lame... You sound like an abused wife! 'Oh, he only does it cause he loves me!' or 'I deserve anything he does to me, no matter how cruel it is!' It's so pathetic! If he loved you, why are you so bone thin from only being fed once a week! How come he keeps you in a wet room, letting you stay there, getting sick and slowly rotting away, unable to breathe from the smell of rotting waste and garbage! If you say he loves you, you're a bigger fool than I took you for all this time..." Hariel's eyes narrowed as he screamed that out at her. Jet looked at him and sighed. He knew that this would happen, and knew that Hariel's first response would be such as it was. Jet shook his head and gave the young Charmander a Lum Berry to heal her paralysis. He placed his hand on her cheek and smiled softly at her.

"Just give us a chance... If you don't like it here, I will take you back to your trainer myself. I'm just asking you to give us a chance... Please?" Jet asked her sincerely, worry in his eyes that she might decline his offer. She gazed into his eyes, falling deep into their power. She smiled gently and nodded. He laughed a bit and smiled, "Good... So what's your name kid?"

"K-Kana... I'm Kana..." She spoke nervously. Hariel's eyes went wide, not believing it when he heard the name. He fell for one Kana long ago, and now he had fallen for another one? He swore he would take a chance on it, and shrugged off the thought.

"Let me introduce the rest of the crew... Come on out guys!" Jet called into the shadow as three other Pokemon come out. Koga came out first, followed by Hariel and Aqua. "The hard-head right here is Koga, the Squirtle is Aqua, and the Machop is my right-hand man Hariel." The three Pokemon bowed and Kana stared at the two that were male. She was entranced with Koga, and then looked at Hariel. She knew he was cute, but he seemed to be a jerk to her. She missed her trainer, but she was glad that she ended up here. They didn't seem so bad, but she didn't know if she could get used to it all.

Hariel walked over and looked her over, smirking a bit. "I'm the one whose going to be training you for what you're doing. I'm Hariel as you heard... Sorry about kidnapping you, I can understand if you hate me for that. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself fully before we started." He started off and turned back around looking at her, "By the way miss, you're kinda cute!" He winked at her and walked off into the shadows. Aqua's jaw dropped, shocked at Hariel's change in behavior towards her.

"Uh... What the hell? I thought he was one of those 'fuck the world!' types... I'm amazed..." She blinked a bit and smiled, "That's the Hariel we used to see before Kana... died..."

"Damn it Hariel... You can't let her... Stop you... Maybe I should..." He sighed a bit and sat in his corner. "Maybe I'm in love with her..."
