Chapter 3
Narrator: Last time we saw Amy reach Pewter City, under the watchful gaze of a mysterious blue haired girl. Unfortunately, she at present does not have an effective pokémon to use against the Pewter City Gymleader, so she must seek one out. And why is this mysterious girl following her? Only time will tell.
The blue haired girl smiled warmly at the little Oddish that she had procured from somewhere inside the nearby forest. She could have looked for a bigger Oddish, but she was kinda reminded of the girl she had been following. She knew that she really didn't have to help the other girl, but she wanted to. And it didn't hurt to just bring a pokémon to the edge of the forest, of which it could have wandered to on its own, near where the other girl was.
She turned her head to look as she heard the door of the pokémart open and watched as Amy left the building. She grinned before looking back at the rather quiet Oddish and wondered for a moment for she could attract Amy to the little grass pokémon. She murmured an apology to the little pokémon before she picked up a small stone and threw it as gently as she could at the Oddish.
She jumped away into the forest and up into the branches of a someone nearby tree when the Oddish let out a small shriek. She hadn't intended to hurt the little pokémon and was worried that she might have, but she didn't have time to check the little one before Amy approached.
***************
Amy left the pokémart and frowned slightly. She couldn't for the life of her figure out where she would find a water or grass type pokémon. She was rather hoping to catch a grass type first, since grass types would also work against the water pokémon of the cerulean city gym.
She blinked in surprise when she suddenly heard a pokémon squeal near the trees near where she was standing. She was curious about what the pokémon was and pondered bringing her pokémon back out before investigating. She had to put Vulpix and Rattata back in their pokéballs when they started making a ruckus in the pokémart.
She decided that she would have plenty of time to release her pokémon if she needed them. She slowly walked towards the trees and looked around. She blinked for a moment as she didn't see anything. Suddenly she heard another sound from below her and looked down quickly. She stared down at the little leafy pokémon sitting at her feet.
"Odd...ish!" cried the little pokémon who had a little bruise on the side of its head, a small stone laying beside it.
Amy looked at the Oddish with concern on her eyes as she knelt down next to it and examined it to see if it was hurt badly. "Don't worry little one, your not hurt that badly." She said patted the Oddish gently on it's leafy head.
The Oddish looked up at Amy and looked at her with adoring eyes. This human seemed to be kinder than that last one…
Amy smiled at the little grass pokémon and thought for a second, "Ya know, I was just thinking that I could use a grass pokémon… Would you like to join my team?" she asked the little Oddish who looked up at her adoringly and nodded its head and jumped into her arms.
***************
The blue haired girl looked rather startled as the Oddish willingly joined Amy's team. In all honesty she hadn't expected it to be that easy for the girl… If she had she would have chosen a different pokémon to bring to her attention. She sighed slightly in defeat as she watched Amy walk back into Pewter City.
She smiled at the retreating figure, knowing that the girl would still have to work with the Oddish a little before they could even think of defeating the Pewter Gymleader. "Good luck." She said and grinned, "Sister." She added and the as of a moment ago absent wind breezed through the tree branches making the leaves rustle.
***************
Amy looked up slightly as she heard the leaves rustling. Had there been a breeze a moment ago? She shrugged that away and walked to the Pokécenter to make sure her new friend was healthy and to get it's bruise healed.
She walked inside and glanced around the room. There weren't that many people there, but there were a few, and at the counter stood Nurse Joy. She walked up to the counter and placed Oddish and its new pokéball upon the counter, "Nurse Joy? Could you give my Oddish a check up?" she asked with a smile.
Nurse Joy smiled warmly at Amy and nodded her head, "Sure." She said, "Give me a few minutes." She said and walked away.
Amy nodded and went to sit in one of the chairs sitting along the wall of the Pokécenter and glanced at the spiky white haired boy who was staring out the window beside her. She wasn't sure she wanted to disturb the boy, but she wanted to talk to someone. "What're you looking at?" she asked curiously and attempted to glance at whatever it may be that the boy was looking at and couldn't seem to determine what he was staring at.
The boy turned his golden colored eyes at Amy in surprise, "What?" he asked as if he didn't understand what she had asked him.
Amy wasn't sure wether the boy was just playing ignorant or really was, but she had patience. "What were you looking at?" she asked again and gestured towards the window.
The boy looked back at the window, "The forest…" he answered, not even considering the fact that there was a building obstructing the forest from view.
Amy herself stared out through the window before looking back at the boy, "Ookay…" she a little unsure of why he had said that. "Anyway, I'm Amy, what's your name?" she asked in a friendly voice.
The boy turned back to look at Amy, "Taji." he said and eyed her for a moment, "You can see me?" he asked and startled Amy.
