Pokemon Fan Fiction / Pokemon Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Temptations Inn ❯ Pool of blood. ( Chapter 4 )
"He's a cute boy." The female voice seemed distant as I heard it; everything was pitch black. The voice.. it was familiar.
"Yeah. I know." A male voice; this one was familiar too. The one in the library.
"I want to have more fun with him, though. You shouldn't have pushed him so hard.." The female, again.. followed by a chuckle; a dark chuckle.
"He was in my way." The male replied; a chuckle coming from him as well.
"Either way. I don't want him dead, yet. Like I said, I still want to have fun with him. I want to see if he can survive more of my.. puzzles." A laugh came from the female as she said it.
I was just beginning to regain my vision, while I saw two very strange figures towering above me.
Aliens? They were definitely not human. I couldn't entirely make them out; my vision was sorta blurry from when I hit the ground.
First, the female. The female looked like a walking cat, in a way. Pink fur covered her lightly covered body. Her stomach, crotch, and tail were all coated in purple fur. The only things that covered the female was a fur coat loin cloth and a fur bra like piece that covered her furred breasts. Her pink eyes were staring towards the male.
The male looked the same; the same sorta figure, but white and purple fur instead.. plus minus the breasts.
Instead of the Tarzan clothing, the male wore more formal clothing.. well, just a pair of black shorts. His body was muscular, well.. a little over in shape. His blue eyes were staring back at the females.
I suddenly noticed that my head was pulsing with enormous pain, but I did my best to ignore it. The very strange creatures didn't seem to notice me yet.
"Well, brother," the female began. "I'm sure this.. boy will wake up soon. Our plan will work, don't you worry. But, I'm going to stay here.. and let the boy meet me." The female chuckled as she stepped forward, sliding her arms around her brother loosely.
They were siblings, and close? That was pretty sick, I thought.
The male chuckled, and grinned to his sister. ".. Alright, sis. I'll let you handle him," the male replied, and leaned forward, kissing his sisters head before I watched him pull away, and suddenly.. dissolve in mid air.
Talk about Star Trek.
My eyes were wide; what were these creatures? Were they psychic or something? The guy just.. disappeared! Poof! That was it! I was dumbfounded.
".. Hm. Good-bye to you too, John." The female said. Well, now I knew what her brother's name was.
I was frightened as I saw the female tilt her feline cranium down towards me, her pink, beautiful eyes locking onto mine. The female grinned.
"Oh, well.. our 'hero' has awakened." The creature said, and giggled softly. I watched as the female's tail swayed behind her from side to side.
Slowly, I managed to stand up, only staring at her before I quickly glanced around. I immediately knew where I was. The first floor lobby. I had fallen right through the skylight that was on the roof of the lobby. Ouch.
".. Like your uncles mansion?" The female said, beginning to walk around slowly.
I glanced towards her, studying her graceful form; I couldn't help it. She was beautiful, even though she wasn't human. I had never dreamed of such a creature before; how could I not stare? I didn't reply, yet.
"Hah." The female turned towards me, showing a wicked grin upon her muzzle like face. ".. I know all about you, Matthew. I even knew your family."
I glanced to her suddenly, a bit surprised she knew my name. I managed to weakly spit out my words. I was still aching from that fall.
"Who.. who are you?" Was what I said.
The female laughed, running one of her three digited paws through her pink, nice hair that adorned her head.
"My name is Alexia." She seemed to add a pride towards her name.
Alexia. The name was familiar; wasn't someone in his family married to an Alexia? That was probably just coincidence.
"How do you know me..?"
Alexia chuckled, and shook her head from side to side. "That, my boy, is for you to discover later. For now, I will leave you be. Good luck." She laughed again, and then, poofed. She had disappeared like her brother, John, did.
".. Shit." I muttered, rubbing my head as I surveyed my surroundings. I had to check to make sure nothing else was waiting to pounce.
What were these creatures? And why were they in my uncle's, well, my mansion?
I had a feeling that I needed to find out a lot more then I had planned to find.
All I had to use at this moment was the third floor key, and that strange coin that was scratched up. I noticed my SIG handgun laying on the floor nearby, and picked it up, then stuffed it into my belt after checking to see if it was still loaded.
Of course, I guessed that I would have to check out the third floor. But what's the point? The higher I get, the farther away from the ground. Unless they have some helicopter on the roof, I didn't see how this was helping. But maybe, there was some way to get the front doors open. Unless those.. creatures.. somehow had it shut from the outside.
Standing around and thinking wasn't getting me anywhere, so I began to walk down the hallway.
The hallway was dark and creepy as it always was; maybe even creeper. I still felt slightly safe with the SIG at my hip, but what if I was attacked again by something unseen by the naked eye? I didn't even see that creature hit me off the ledge, if it really had been him who had hit me.
I soon reached the end of the hallway, glancing to the stairs, elevator, and entrance to the library. The elevator was off; I could tell. So, I stepped to the stairs, and opened the door, entering the stairway that lead up to the second, third, and fourth levels.
I quickly began to ascend the staircase, and once I got to the second floor, I found there was a locked gate in front of the stairway, to make it inaccessible to go any further without the third floor key; which I luckily had.
I unlocked the gate, and put it aside. I didn't bother with keeping the key, so I tossed it aside as well, and quickly hurried up the more flights of stairs.
Soon, I reached the third floor. There was a door that lead into the hallway of the third floor, then another gate blocked anyone from going up further on the stairs. I didn't have the key for the fourth floor, so I stepped into the third floor hallway; it looked the same as the others. Nothing special.
I couldn't see the other end of the hallway; I wasn't surprised. But without hesitation, I began to hurry down the hallway, towards the end of the hallway. I remembered that there was a pool somewhere on this level. Maybe I would find some 'puzzle' there.
Once I reached the end of the hallway, I found a pair of doors that was labeled, 'Pool'. It was obvious where it lead to.
I opened the door, and entered the large pool room, shutting the door behind me. The pool was pretty large, clean and nice. It was just like any other modern pool room.
Something suddenly cought my eye; another shining object on the end of the diving board. I blinked, figuring it was either a key or something of that sort. All seemed safe, so I headed to the diving board, climbing up onto it, and began to carefully walk towards the end of it.
I reached the end of it in no time, and knelt down to get it, but as soon as my hand was hovering over the object, something startled me.
I yelped in surprise as I saw a dead body, floating on it's back in the water. It's rotting eyes staring up at me helplessly. The flesh of it's face was decaying, some of it barely hanging onto it's bone and tissue. It was disgusting. The corpse was dressed in torn clothing, which looked to be some expensive, 'royal' robe at one time. This had startled me, and before I had picked up the object, I had fallen backwards onto my butt on the board.
"Christ!" I yelped, horribly disgusted and spat off to the side.
Without warning, I heard a snap, and the diving board suddenly broke, and sent me, and the object right into the water.
I quickly surfaced, coughing as I caught my breath. I hadn't been prepared for that either. I wiped some hair out of my eyes, then some water..
And there was another corpse. And another.. and another.. and another..
I was surrounded by corpses, everywhere. Rotting people were all floating in the water, which was turning a deep, blood red.
All the eyes seemed to just be staring lifelessly towards me, begging me silently to follow them into the depths of hell.
I got a close up on one of the corpse's eyes, just in time to see a maggot crawl out and fall into the water.
I felt like I was gonna barf; and if it wasn't for me shutting my mouth, I would have. I had to get that item, and overcome this disgusting obstacle. I saw something beneath some of the corpses, on the bottom of the pool floor. It was the object I had tried to collect earlier.
Without thinking about it, I dove under, and swam towards the object, snatching it and holding it in my hand, putting it into my pocket and swam back towards the clear spot in the water.
I surfaced, and coughed again, wiping the red water off my face. Then I felt something.
Something gripped my shoulder weakly, and I spun around quickly.
There was another floating corpse, it's jaw slowly opening wider and wider, those bony fingers reaching out for me. It was alive!
"Oh god!" I screamed out, and noticed that more and more of these corpses were suddenly reaching out for me. Some of the zombies moaned as they reached further for me, just wanting to eat my flesh right off my bones.
I had two bullets, but that wasn't going to help. I yelped.. and saw a narrow clear path towards the end of the pool, and I swam as fast as I could for it.
The whole way, I felt bony, rotting fingers touching at my body, trying to pull me back to drown me or eat me. I ignored it to my best intent, screaming as I continued to swam.
My hand touched the end of the pool, and I quickly threw myself out, glancing back to the zombies who stuck all their arms out towards me. I stood up, panting hard. This was a nightmare, for sure. First ghosts. Then aliens. And now, zombies!?
"Brains.." I heard a sudden moan from beside me, and turned to see another zombie lunging towards me. I yelped in surprise, and stumbled backwards, and turned around to dash towards the exit of the pool room. I noticed several other zombies had climbed out of the pool, and were slowly limping towards me.
"Rahh.." Another zombie moaned as he lunged towards me, but fell short, and collapsed onto the ground. The creature reached for my ankle, but he was just out of range. I quickly tried the door; it was locked.
"Oh shit.. oh shit.." I panicked, retrying the door several times before turning, and saw that half of the zombies were now on the walkway, limping or crawling towards me.
I realized that I still had my SIG.
I quickly took out my handgun, making sure it would work after it had gotten wet. Luckily, it did. I aimed it towards the lock of the door, and.. BANG!
The door was easily kicked open afterwards, and I dashed into the hallway, seeing nothing but the darkness. And so, I ran towards the end of the hallway; which was the elevator and stairway.
I pulled out to see what the object had been; I hadn't even paid attention what it was I had picked up. I had found that it was another one of those strange coins; this one had 8 small scratches on one side, and then 9 small scratches on the other side.
This wasn't any help.
I was trapped, with two coins, and zombies were limping into the hallway, heading towards me. I could go down the stairs, which I guess was my only choice.
I quickly tried the staircase door, and was startled as I found it locked as well. I didn't really wanna waste my last round; but I might have to, to live.
I glanced back down the hallway, seeing the flesh hungry zombies etching closer towards me, their arms and fingers outstretched towards me. I could hear their moans, their pleads for my body. It was both saddening and frightening.
I suddenly figured that maybe, just maybe, I could break through the door with my shoulder.
I faced the door, and took a few steps back, leaning on the bare wall across from it for support.
"One.. two.."
I counted down, and right when I was about to take off, the wall behind me suddenly spun; a secret door? I fell onto the hard cement floor, and as the wall completely spun around to a stop, the place around me went pitch black; and I was surrounded by the darkness.
I just hoped there weren't any zombies watching me at the moment.
