Garnet's Plan - Chapter 5
Team Aqua and Team Magma were much different then Team Rocket, so that makes their battling much more interesting. Team Magma and Team Aqua's side faced each other, both throwing their balls uneasily. Both knew this would effect their life-long goals, not to mention their boss's attitudes…Like Team Aqua's side was having a tantrum right now since the very heat of the day was evaporating the water quicker than he liked. The battle started as usual, except it seemed more like pokemon war. Pokemon ran around like mad trying to dodge attacks, most not exactly wanting to use any non-long-distance attacks. Those who used tackle before them had fallen to the mercy of a full blast of water or heat. Team Magma had a great weakness and was being massacred. Garnet and Lazy had nothing much to do but watch despairingly and try to think of a plan.
"What if we just get some pokemon we know to drain the water, you know, like build a dam and sort of force the water to turn away? But that's rather impossible I guess…" Garnet said doubtfully. She guessed that Azul must be the better idea thinker in the family. Then why didn't he use it to make up something more interesting than his silly games? Garnet thought fiercely and groaned again about the responsibilities she had of a Pokemon Princess. I'm only Princess of the forest, great, now I've got to save the whole world! "How `bout sneaken' away from this battle `n' trying ta ask the pokemon in that Ocean if they could-EEK!" Lazy pulled his claw back in time to spare himself a bite from a Carvannah. " Well, the water pokemon sure know when to swoop in! Hey there, I mean you! Do you have a way of making all this water go back to the ocean? How on Earth are you supposed ta do that, uh, um…that's what I was asking you! Oh, you're hopeless!" Lazy said disgustedly as the Carvannah swam away, quite bored. Garnet had nearly fallen asleep with hopelessness when a raindrop fell precisely on her the middle of her forehead. "Whaat? Rain? This sudden? Oh bother, it'll make the water level rise. That was just what we needed, more water to move!" She decided to practice her levitating again, just for a few drops. She finally managed to make 5 drops to fall onto the rocky ledge of the canyon, out of reach of the water. Feeling quite happy, she made some more drops change their course until she actually made them do this little zigzag course all the way down, like a row of dancing raindrops. Garnet couldn't help laughing, and because of this occasion she was a bit weird. Lazy actually admitted he had thought for a moment that she had cracked. She watched as she made the little raindrops, dancing merrily until they fell back into the water. The water! She suddenly remembered and by accident, sent 10 whole rows of raindrops sailing into the ocean, or what used to be Wailmer Ocean, far down the new river. Her eyes widened as she watched her achievement, and couldn't help making them do a little victory dance on the way. "Lazy, Lazy! I know a solution! I can levitate the water to the ocean and, Lazy? Are you listening? What are you doing, and why on Earth are you-LAZY!" Lazy was sprawled on the ground, laughing to death. "Omigosh (holding his ribs with laughter) you should-of hehehehehehe! Hahaha, oh, cowards hehehahaho!" "Get a grip, lazybones! You were watching them the whole time! I saw you!" She pointed furiously to the sky. " These are the times I wish you were a Dragonaire or something, to change the weather!" Lazy stopped abruptly and starred sheepishly. Realizing her anger, he stammered an apology. "Uh-um, well, you see…I was, uh, watching for, ya know, ideas. The-that Team Magma is getting beaten up real bad. The rain reduces their pokemon's attack points, ya see. They've uh, almost given up. I've been thinkin'! I was about ta suggest if we should barge in now?" "That's what I've been thinking too, but how are we supposed to get in? Break a hole in submarine-thingy and grab attention? And that orb-thingy, it looks strong. We have to stop the power fields from working by pulling down that lever. And then we have 2,000 pokemon and the water to worry about." "But didn't ya figure that ole ready? You said your gonna levitate it all. And pokemon? We've got pokemon! Hey, you there! Carvannah! Get yerself movin'!" The Carvannah popped his head over the surface for a second to be heard muttering something along the lines of `Oh great' and `With that racket you were making of course I heard you' so with a splash he went back to inform the pokemon of the flooded canyon's river. "There now, that settles it! Now we got to do something about the slowpoke! Hmm, do ya reckon they're fighters? We'll see, they could at least try helpin'." The slowpoke did not enjoy the scratches they got for waking up, and did not feel like fighting either. But they quickly gave in when Lazy threatened to ban them from Quiet Canyon. "Fine, fine, fine! Battling…pah. I can…do it alright!" Their talking was even slow and their pace was worse. "Lookit here, I don't intend for you to battle in the next century. Either quick up or we'll leave without you." Lazy criticized and started for the underwater lab. Lazy was suddenly pulled high into the air and hovered some few feet over the water.
