Pokemon Fan Fiction / Pokemon Fan Fiction ❯ The Unlikely Partners ❯ Kristy ( Chapter 1 )
"The night was cold and powerful winds beat against the windows of then worn down house. The house was tall, creaky and rotting with holes and missing boards all over it. Though it wasn't empty, no, for there was activity in the house, but no one really knew if it was some kind of pokémon or a soul that had been trapped inside it for years and haunts the place, trying to its find a way out...-"
"Dad are you telling Kisty those scary stories again?" The old man looked up from his grandchild to see his daughter leaning against the doorframe. He smiled and picked up the small child and tucked her into bed.
"Of course not! I would never do that! I fear she'll get nightmares!" His daughter rolled her eyes and left, saying along the way, "I'm not afraid she'll have bed dreams dad! I'm afraid of her imagination! She believes everything you tell her! I'm warning you, you better watch what you say to her!"
"Hehe, your mother is just jealous cause she thinks she's too old to listen to my stories!" The young girl giggled.
"I heard that!" Called her mother from downstairs. Grandfather chuckled then kissed his granddaughter's forehead.
"Goodnight sweetheart and sleep tight!" Kristy nodded and yawned. She snuggled under the warm, thick covers just as her grandfather switched off the light and closed the door.
Downstairs, the grandfather walked quietly to his daughter and gave her a big hug and said, "I'm so happy you were able to come! With you own business and all, I thought I'd never see you again OR Kristy!" The mother smiled and hugged her father.
"Yeah, I guess it was time to visit you. I think Kristy will love it here!"
"So, do I! There are some pokémon around here that she'll REALLY love." The mother laughed.
"Yes, but I don't want you telling her anymore of your false tales! You know how she lets her imagination run wild!" The grandfather laughed.
"Yes, but that's what I love about her! Well goodnight dear!" He kissed his daughter's forehead and walked out of the house and into the cold night.
