Chapter 3
The next day, Misty woke up to hear loud splashes in the area of the garden. Peeking out her window, she blanched as she saw Ranma as a girl, go flying out of the pool. Topless.
“…”
“Breakfast is ready!” Lilac called.
“Training before breakfast? That's a good boy!” Aqua came out, brushing his teeth. Then, he caught sight of Ranma and accidentally swallowed his toothbrush.
“Have you no feminine modesty?!” Misty yelled.
“Quit hitting my fiancée.” Rose snapped. “If this keeps up I'll battle you for him.”
“Oh yeah? You only have an Ivysaur!”
“So?”
“Right then.” Aqua said. “My daughters. Daisy - 19, Lilac- 17, Rose - also 17, and Misty - 14. Choose one, she's your fiancée.”
“I'll take him!” Rose cried.
Ranma smiled. “Er… all right.”
She seemed like a nice enough girl…
“I'll kill you!” Misty screamed, picking up a table, but this time, Ranma managed to dodge in time.
“What's with her?”
“She just hates boys and sees them as stepladders to riches.” Daisy explained.
“Daisy!”
“It's true!”
Ash came downstairs, a Pikachu on his shoulder, a Minun on the other. Pikachu was flirting with Minun, but he was doing the same.
A pokemon couple, they were.
Lance followed, dressed in the same black pants and jacket as Ash. With a plummet, Misty realized it was their school uniform.
Oh no…
“They are going to school with us?”
“Yes.”
Misty cursed inwardly. “I don't know either of you!”
“How rude.” Lance said, as Ash nodded from his cereal bowl. At least he hadn't been stuck with that curse…
Well… still…
He did feel a bit sorry for his brother, but not much. Ranma was better than him at everything, except maybe pokemon training.
That wasn't saying much in a world of mostly martial arts.
“I ain't going to school!”
“It's not an option!” Genma barked.
“Oh yeah? You didn't go to school, old man! I have proof of that!”
“But I promised your mother you would get an education.”
“…” Ranma muttered. “Oh well, let's go.”
“Now Ranma, school and education can be a very valuable weapon.” Rose said cheerfully.
“… Really?”
“Yes!”
“Well then, I guess I can try it for a little while. I'm stuck here anyways.”
“Do you not like me?”
“No, no!” Ranma said, flustered. “You're really cute unlike your sister.”
Rose hugged him tightly.
They walked to school, Rose and Misty leading the way.
“I don't know you.” Misty repeated.
“Don't tell me.” Ranma muttered. Rose gave him a smile, and Ranma smiled back. At least _Misty_ wasn't his fiancée!
That was when a huge crowd of male admirers attacked. Misty frowned, and fought back, while Rose and the boys walked in quietly.
“They _like_ her?” Lance asked.
“Apparently.” Ash replied.
“I'd hate to see that.”
“That's not the worst of it.” Rose said. “Every week, she dumps a new guy.”
“Really!” Ranma gasped. * That's the worst kind of girl! *
“Yep, usually after they buy her expensive jewelry too.”
“Why, that…” Ash did not finish his sentence, neither did Ranma, because they split up then.
They were different ages, so different classes.
< Don't worry. > Lance sent. < I'm still in your class. Lied about my age again. >
< It's not the first time. >
< No, and don't you worry, everything will be fine. >
Ash smiled. < Hai. >
Class was boring but doable, and everything was fine until lunchtime.
That was when Misty announced the engagement.
Ranma didn't know why every guy in the vicinity wanted to pick a fight with him, but he gladly obliged.
Were people in this part of Japan crazy?
Well, it was Nerima, right?
*POW*
*SMACK*
*SLASH*
*OW!*
If nothing else, all the girls oohed and aahed and enjoyed the fight a lot. It certainly made Ranma very popular.
_Very Popular_.
So popular that one Kuno took notice.
“You there!”
“Me?”
“I am the Blue Thunder of Furinkan High, Freshman Class E, Tatewaki Kuno!”
“… Hi.” Ranma said.
“I challenge you to a fair contest of skill!”
“Well, all right.” Ranma said. “Bring it on!”
Alas, the bokken-wielding student was not much of a match and he lost. The group was fairly satisfied when they all walked home.
Misty was still sulking.
“Did you like Kuno or something?” Rose asked incredulously.
“He was a good source of income.”
“Gold digger.” Ash muttered under his breath.
He received a mallet to the head and went flying. Lance sighed. “I'll go find him.”

I do like Ranma 1/2 but this story will mainly focus on Ash and Lance
***********************Flashback********************************* *
Lance stared in shock as a cat emerged from the pool of water. “Ash?” That couldn't be… but, if it was true, then those cursed springs were real?
That… he…
The cat meowed pathetically and rubbed against his legs.
“Yes, definitely.” Lance said, as he kissed the top of the sodden kitty's head. “There, there, it will be all right…”
< Really? >
Lance looked surprised. < Your telepathy works even when you're a cat. That's useful. >
< I don't want to be a cat! >
< I don't want to be a cat! >
< Don't worry, there's probably a cure. >
The guide, alas, could only direct them to hot water. Still, it was better than nothing.
