There were many members of Team Magma there, most of them occupying themselves with some form of recreational activity. Most of them stopped what they were doing when Bannai entered. Murmurs filled the room as Lee pushed Kara forward. "We finally have the key to getting that fossil." Bannai announced. "But since she arrived so late, we need two ladies to volunteer to be her guards."
While he was talking the room had gone silent. But now that he had stopped the female members started to talk amongst themselves. Kara watched as most of them apparently refused and went back to their own activities. However, two girls detached themselves from the rest and strode over to where Kara and Bannai were standing.
The girls, one with blue hair, lipstick and green eyes, the other with blond hair, blue eyes and pierced ears, looked at each other and announced, "We will be her guards." Bannai nodded "She is to be kept in the room next to mine, after she has been fed and washed up. Other than that you are on your own." He then walked past them and started talking to a group of people. The blond shrugged, "Well, we know what to do now. Come on, follow me." She turned and walked through the door you and Bannai had come through, gesturing for Kara to follow. "I'm Natoli, by the way, and that is Laura." Somehow, Kara felt like she could trust them. However, she was not sure when she should tell them about the problem with her parents.
"Say!" Laura exclaimed, jolting Kara out of your thoughts, "We told you our names but we never got to learn yours." Kara looks at the girls with a small smile, "My name is Karather'yn Madora, but calling me Kara is easier." She then looks sadly at the floor. "However if my folks had anything to say about it I would have to find myself a new last name." Laura and Natoli looked at her, shock and curiosity written on their faces.
Suddenly Laura stopped "Here's your room. You can explain that comment in there." Kara waited until Natoli disabled the capture ring that still held her arms to her sides, then walked inside. The room was better than many Kara had seen. All the furniture was Oriental themed. There were two armchairs, a beanbag chair, a four-poster bed, a wardrobe and a small desk with a P.C. and an Item Storage System (ISS) on it. It even had a bay window looking out to the ocean. Kara could see a door that led off to a cream colored bathroom.
Laura put a friendly hand on Kara's shoulder, "You can admire it later. Can you elaborate on that statement you made earlier?" Kara nods and sits down in the beanbag chair. Natoli and Laura sit down in the armchairs and look at her expectantly. "Well. When I chose to become a pokemon trainer, instead of a researcher like the rest of the family, he disowned me. He told me I had one day to pack my belongings and get out of town; for no child of his would be a pokemon trainer. My mother also disapproved, but was nicer about it. She let me borrow our PC so that I could create an account and put the things I couldn't carry into storage. She even said goodbye to me! However, after that day, I have had no contact with my family. Somehow, I think its better that way."
