Himeno ran to the store as fast as she could. She was going to get a special present for Kei. He now meant the world to Himeno. And what was worse, Himeno still had to act as Prétear to achieve peace in Leafenia. Tears poured out of Himeno’s eyes as she ran . “What am I doing, stupid? Why am I crying? I should be happy about this. I have always been in love with Kei, but I just thought he was, well, queer. But I know now. We are in love. I love him just as much, if not more, as I love Hayate. Now where was I? Oh, yes. Going to the store for Kei’s present. Feel good, feel good, look forward, look forward.”

Himeno went to the jewelry store. She bought two rings, and decided that one was for Kei, and one was for her. Just as she paid up and left, Hayate came, and picked her up and flew away with her.

“The darkness in Leafenia is growing. We must use the Road of Light to get there. Everyone is waiting for you, and this time, the battle will be serious.”

When Himeno got to Leafenia, it was in ruins. Shin was almost in tears, and Hajime and Mannen were shaking their heads in despair. Goh and Kei had their heads in their hands. Then Sasame and Takako arrived.

“Where is Himeno?” said Sasame. “Hayate said he was bringing her immediately. I’m becoming impatient.”

“Just wait, Sasame,” said Takako.

“We’re here finally,” said Hayate arriving with Himeno.

Himeno looked at Kei. She shied away and then said, “Hayate, where is the new Demon Larvae? Who is this new Princess of Disaster?”

“Her name was Usagi. She was a weak Prétear, but she sufficed, until we imprisoned her. Then she let her hatred take over, and became the most powerful Princess of Disaster ever.”

“I see,” said Himeno. She wavered for a moment, then said, “Kei, Prét with me.”

Kei faltered. He knew why Himeno was asking this. Then Hayate came over to Kei. He mumbled something in Kei’s ear. Then Kei’s eyes widened. He nodded his head, and said something back to Hayate. “Okay, Himeno. I will Prét with you. Only if you promise that . . . . that you will stop loving me.”

All of the knight’s eyes widened. They had no clue about this. “What’s this? Kei and Himeno? We all thought it was Hayate and Himeno,” said Goh. Everyone just looked at Kei in wonder.

“No then. I will not Prét with you. I can’t go on not loving you. Come on, Shin. Prét with me.”

“Alright, Himeno,” said Shin. He was now an adult. The knights had used a Leafe aging process on Hajime, Mannen, and Shin. They were now the same age that they were before the incident with Takako.
