Chapter 3

Nodoka tells and Meetings or Backlash pt 2

 

Genma Saotome woke up feeling pain all over his body. His eyes widened when he saw the bars of the jail cell he was in. For a person like Genma who spent his entire life avoiding the responsibilities of his actions and crimes being in a jail cell was the worst place he could imagine being in.

 

Outside the bars were Nodoka Saotome, Kasumi, Nabiki, Akane, Ukyo and Cologne. The girls there were all wearing frowns as they watch Genma wake up from his pain-induced slumber.

 

“Nodoka, get me out of here.” Genma ordered his wife. If this failed he could always call Nodoka's family for help since they were on his side.

 

“If you think I am going to assist a known criminal break out of jail you are mistaken, Genma.” Nodoka refused.

 

“First off you have several hundred warrants out for your arrest for petty theft which included the cats you stole from several owners to make Ranma learn the Neko-ken.

 

“Next you have child abuse charges for the Neko-ken coming your way not to mention the other so called training exercises you performed on Ranma.

 

“We have several families including Ukyo's and the Tendos' charging you with blatant breach of contract. You sold off Ranma for anything you wanted and didn't tell him. When they showed up you had Ranma accept the consequences for your crimes and you got off scot free.” Nodoka said.

 

Genma was getting angry at Nodoka's smug tone of voice. If he wanted Ranma to be his slave for the rest of his life he knew what he had to do. Even with all the criminal charges against him a little help from Nodoka's mother he will be out of here. Even with the threat of the divorce thanks to what he did 12 years ago he would get custody with the way he planted the seppuku contract.

 

“Face it Nodoka. I will be out of here soon. I'm glad I am getting a divorce from you since that means Ranma will be in my custody.” Genma smirked. “After all who would trust a woman who would have her own son commit seppuku for not being a man among men?”

 

Nodoka growled and almost attacked Genma.

 

“I see. The pieces all fit now.” Nodoka finally put the pieces together. “You left that seppuku contract there so if this ever happened you would have the final say on Ranma's future. You lied to the police 12 years ago saying I was abusing Ranma and you took him away to be trained for his own safety. You would have me pictured as an unfit mother for Ranma with that contract and the lies you told the police a dozen years ago.”

 

Genma smiled and nodded. “You got that right and there isn't a single thing you can do about it.”

 

Nodoka smiled and looked at the door. “Was that enough Detective?”

 

A man stepped through the doorway with a microphone and nodded.

 

“Yes it was, Nodoka-san.”

 

Genma was angry since he realized he was tricked into revealing everything and that was recorded.

 

“He's still my son Nodoka.” Genma said. “I own him and he will marry a Tendo not that Chinese whore.”

 

“You don't own him Genma. And besides he is not your son. You couldn't even perform your husbandly duties during the honeymoon since you were so drunk.” Nodoka said.

 

“Well I am going to have talk with your mother No-chan. I wonder what she will say about what you revealed.”

 

“I don't care what she will say. Not anymore when it became clear she didn't care for me at all when she forced me to marry you, Genma.”

 

Nodoka and the group of women walked out of the holding cell with Genma watching them leave.

 

`You think you won Nodoka. Well you're wrong. I will have revenge on you and the boy. We will see who is laughing last.' Genma thoughts were very dark.

Outside of the police station all the women there were shocked at Nodoka's confession that Ranma was not Genma's son.

 

“Auntie is it really true? About Genma not being Ranma's father?” Akane asked.

 

“Yes it is Akane.” Nodoka said. “Like I said Genma was too busy celebrating with your father that he had married a `rich broad' as he put it to spend time with me and the times he came back he just dropped into the bed and snored.

 

“I was walking out crying my sorrows away when I was nearly mugged and raped by some hooligans.” Nodoka said. “Thanks to a man I was saved and he noticed I was depressed enough to commit suicide. I must admit I was considering it at the time girls. I was so desperate for any kind of love that I seduced him.

 

“After that night with the man who saved me we continued our affair for 2 weeks until Genma and I were forced to move out of town due to some unpaid bills of Genma's at several bars. When I mentioned the unpaid bills to my mother she blamed me for not keeping a tighter reign on Genma. I was shocked that my mother blamed me for Genma's unpaid bills.

 

“I kept in touch with Ranma's true father sending pictures and stories of Ranma until Genma kidnapped him from my home. I called my mother again after trying to go to the police after Genma stole my only child and all the money in the house but Genma was smart enough to call her before me. She scolded me in abusing Ranma and forcing Genma to steal our only son to keep him safe. After that I realized I would always be at fault in her eyes.” Nodoka finished crying.

 

Kasumi gathered Nodoka in her arms and gently comforted her.

 

“Thank you Kasumi.” Nodoka thanked the eldest Tendo daughter. “It's amazing she would believe that dishonorable piece of filth of her own daughter. Then again Genma has always had an unbelievable sway on her that I still don't understand.”

 

“Will you tell us where Ranma is Auntie?” Nabiki asked.

 

“No Nabiki. Ranma needs the time to relax and find some peace to enjoy for himself.” Nodoka answered. “Please let him be alright?”

 

All the girls and Cologne nodded in agreement. Cologne's mind was still on what her great-granddaughter said to her on the tape. The true reason she won Ranma and how the laws and their traditional ways were scaring Ranma away.

 

Cologne had to admit that Shampoo is right. If their people do not change then their people will die out. From the tone of voice Shampoo had made it clear she will not return to her village if they refuse to change. She does not want her great-granddaughter never to come back to their home where she was born and raised.

 

`I hope the council will understand that.'

 

With that last thought Cologne walked with the group of women as they went to their homes for the day.

As a young man and a young woman climbed the steps to the Masaki Shrine the woman looked at the man with a worried look. Learning that the man who had tortured him for the last 20 years was not his father. Learning that he was kidnapped by a man from his mother.

 

Ranma was on his way to meet his father for the first time in his entire life. To put it simply he was nervous as hell.

 

Shampoo could see that Ranma was nervous at the prospect of meeting his real father for the first time.

 

Before the reached the gate with two round blocks of wood with one having a red symbol and the other having a blue symbol. Ranma stopped abruptly.

 

“Scared Ranma?” Shampoo asked.

 

“Not just scared.” Ranma answered. “Scared, Worried, Fearful, Nervous, and whole lot of other things.”

 

Ranma looked at Shampoo.

 

“What if this Katsuhito Masaki doesn't accept me or like me as his son Shampoo?” Ranma asked. “What's more what if he is like Genma?”

 

“Ranma stop worrying.” Shampoo said. “You haven't met your real father and you are worried so much that you are panicking.”

 

Shampoo wrapped her arms around Ranma and kissed him passionately on the lips. Ranma was shocked at the sudden kiss and started to return her kiss.

 

Their lips separated and Shampoo smiled at Ranma.

 

“Thanks Shampoo. Now I'm ready.”

 

As soon as the couple was out of sight the two round blocks looked at each other with what would be surprise. Yosho having a son a child other than Achika. Unknown to both Azaka and Kamidake a secret routine opened in the both of them.

 

Azaka sent a message to one person and Kamidake sent another message to another person. Both parties would be surprised when they received the news about Ranma.

The Masaki household was a quiet place for the last three or four days after Tenchi's grandfather dropped that huge bomb out of nowhere.

 

To think that Yosho had a child other than Achika was remarkable. The reactions were different from each person.

 

Tenchi was surprised that his grandfather had an affair with a married woman. Considering that his grandfather was a priest this was something he never thought would have happened. Now he has an uncle who is only a year older than he is and he's Ranma Saotome.

 

Tenchi's father Nobuyuki was thinking the same. He thought that Achika was an only child and now he learns that he has a 20-year-old brother-in-law.

 

Ayeka was upset that her brother had a child with a married woman at first. But when she thought about the situation she could understand why Yosho had done what he had done.

 

Sasami was a little confused at what was happening. If her brother had a son that made him family and that meant more friends.

 

Mihoshi was well who could tell what she was thinking. Kiyone on the other hand was wondering what kind of person this son of Yosho is.

 

Ryoko was shocked about this since she didn't know about Nodoka. She knew that he got pictures of a cute kid and a letter describing the kid's adventures but that was it. Ryoko just thought that he was being informed by a good friend about her child. Ryoko didn't know how good of a friend.

 

Washu was thinking guinea pig, guinea pig. A brand new guinea pig for her lab plus getting her nurse's outfit ready.

 

Everyone inside was waiting and then they hear a voice.

 

“Hello anyone home.”

Ranma and Shampoo could see the house where Nodoka said Ranma's father lived. They slowly walked over to the large house looking it over.

 

As soon as they got close to the house they called out.

 

“Hello anyone home.”

 

Ranma and Shampoo watched as a lot of beautiful girls walked out of the house with only three men. One was Ranma's age, another was middle-aged, and the third was older than the other two but something caught Ranma's attention.

 

`There's something strange about that old guy.'

 

Ranma glanced at Shampoo and nodded to the old guy and Shampoo nodded. She saw it too. Something was off with the eldest of the men here.

 

“Hello I'm Ranma Saotome. Sorry about this.”
