A Fanfiction Guide For Newbie's - Part Two - A Brief Japanese Dictionary

Shampoo: Hiya. Me Shampoo. Is very nice to see you, yes? Since I tired of
people being idiot's in America, me take the time to present to you a
Japanese Dictonary. Very nice, yes?

Listed below is a list of some common phrases and word's that can be to
enrich you stories, or just for simple curiosity. Note, these may not
be in alphabetical order.

First well start with some words you might already know, or need to know
the Japanese equivelent of. Also, due to the gramatical
and spelling differences between English and Japanese, these words may
have many alternate spellings.

Konnichi wa - Hello; good afternoon

Konban wa - Good evening

Sayonara - Good bye

Sumimasen - Excuse me

Arigato (gozaimasu) - Thank you (polite form)

Ii desu - It's ok

Iie - No

Ja ne - See ya

Wakarimasen - I don't understand

Wakateru - I understand

Nan desu ka? - What is it?

Do itashi mashite - You're welcome

addressed)

Koko - here, this place

Soko - there, that place (near to person addressed by speaker)

Doko - where, which place

Kochira - This way

Kochira desu - It's this way

Sochira - That way

Achira - That way over there

Achira desu - It is over that way

Dochira - Which way

Dochira desu ka? - Which way is it?

Migi no hoo ni arimasu - It's to the right

Migi e magarimasu - You turn right

Hidari no hoo ni arimasu - It's to the left

Hidari e magarimasu - You turn left

Massugu ikimasu - You go straight ahead

Massugu saki desu - It's straight ahead
