Chapter 5

Ranma opened her eyes to see a smiling Kuno looking right back at her. A scream from her could be heard all over the house while at the same time in the room she punches Kuno away from her.

"K..Kuno what are you doing here?"

"Oh good morning my goddess", Kuno said as he retuned to the bed in a sitting position. "I didn't mean to frighten you. You see, I rescued you from hell with the one I am sad to call, `sister', and brought you here. Not wanting to leave you for fear of something dire happening, I just lay beside you."

Ranma suddenly started to remember the previous nights events. The most vivid in her mind was the cold water splashing her and trapping her in girl form.

Ranma silently cursed herself for allowing this to happen. Now she could possibly be stuck as a girl forever. Unless, unless Kuno knew a cure.

"Pig-tailed girl, you seem troubled. What ails thee?" Kuno said, causing Ranma to be brought from her thoughts.

Ranma looked towards Kuno. Now was her chance to find out what she needed to know.

"Oh, I'm fine. I just need to ask something." Ranma paused for a moment then added "Tatewaki"

Kuno jumped off the bed just to fall to his knees. Tears rushed out of his eyes.

"You called me by my first name. The power of love is so strong." He looked up at her " You do love me?"

"I…I"

"No, don't say anything." Kuno was now standing in front of Ranma. "There will be much time for us to profess our love to each other on our date. Now dress quickly as we have much to do my love."

Ranma stiffened for a moment, remembering how she had promised Kuno a date. Of course she hadn't expected it to actually happen, but a date offered a good opportunity for her to find a cure. And any chance she got she would take.

Then something else hit her. Kuno had told her to get dressed……

Ukyo was fixing herself a breakfast okonomiyaki when the phone rang.

"Moshi Moshi. This is Ukyo Kunyaji of Ukyo's okonomiyaki."

"Ukyo, hi I was wondering if Ranma was over there by any chance"

"No, Akane I haven't seen Ranma. What's happened to him?"

"He didn't come home last night"

"What!" Ukyo exclaimed "I'll be over there as soon as I can."

Ukyo slammed the receiver back in its cradle and quickly turned off all the grills. Then she ran to the door, put the closed sign on and set a b-line to Akane's house.

If someone had done something to her Ranma, she would be sure to find them and teach them a lesson.

Soon she was at the Tendo dojo. Akane was waiting for her outside in her uniform.

"Hey Ukyo!!" Akane said

"Hi. Do you have any idea where he could be?"

"No, not really. I thought he might be with you. I mean you are one of his fiancé's…"

"Did you try the Chinese jackass or that gymnast bimbo?"

"No. they're both out to kill me."

"And they both want my Ranma." Ukyo added as she pulled her giant spatula from her back.

"Let's go after Shampoo first. Ranma's more likely to fall for one of her tricks especially if it has something to do with Jusenkyo."

"Yeah" agreed Ukyo and the two set off for Cat Café.

"One order hot ramen for you sir" Shampoo said with a smile as she placed the bowl in front of the man.

"Thanks cutey. So when's your next day off?" the man asked and Shampoo smiled, but the flirting was brought to an end as a pair of knives flew straight into the man's ramen bowl, breaking it into a few large pieces.

Mousse landed on the table and pointed to the man.

"Shampoo is mines. You better go find some other girl to mess with!"

The man stuttered an apology then scrambled away.

"Oh Mousse" Shampoo said, a smile on her face.

Mousse looked at her and took notice of her smile. * Wow, she's actually happy that I saved her from that flirt* he jumped down by Shampoo.

"Yes Shampoo," he answered, just to be hit by the serving tray that Shampoo was carrying.

"You need stop scaring away customers Mousse."

"B…but Shampoo" Mousse said in disbelief.

"You go help in kitchen Mousse."

"I…"

"Now!"

"Okay" Mousse said and walked to the kitchen with his head down.

"Stupid Mousse…." Shampoo said when he was gone and started to clean up the bowl pieces and spilled ramen.

"Shampoo!" "Jackass!" said Akane and Ukyo as they walked in.

"Hmmn…" Shampoo said while looking at the two "Spatula girl? He-she? Why you here?"

"He-she?!!" Akane's eye twitched as she heard this. Ukyo on the other hand didn't care. She was too busy being angry at Shampoo for other things.

"You know exactly why were here." Ukyo said while pointing her spatula at Shampoo. "Now where is he?"

"He?" Shampoo said confused as ever.

"Ranma!" Ukyo and Akane exclaimed.

"Ranma? He no come visit me" Shampoo laughed "Good for him though. He finally leave stupid Akane."

Akane became enraged at this, ran to Shampoo and tried to punch her.

Shampoo dodged easily and kicked her while still balancing the tray in her hand.

"Akane no match for Shampoo. You give up. Ranma belong to Shampoo"

"So you did do something to him!" Akane said

"No, but when he come back he come back to Shampoo `cause Shampoo too too good for Ranma."

"Ha" Ukyo said, "Ranma honey will of course come back to me. I've known him forever."

" Shampoo know Ranma come to her," she said as she got into Ukyo's face

"Not likely"

"Much likely"

"Not likely!!"

"Much likely!!"

Ukyo stepped back and tried to hit Shampoo with her spatula, but Shampoo jumped on it, took a piece of broken bowl off her serving plate and threw it at Ukyo. Ukyo ducked then threw Shampoo off of her spatula. The two continued to fight like this until Akane yelled. "STOP IT!!"

The two stopped and looked at her, then Akane spoke again.

"Obviously Ranma isn't here so there's only one place he could be and that's Kodachi's. For now we'll have to put away our rivalries to go and get Ranma ok?"

The two thought about it then both agreed and then the three were off to their next destination.
