Anna slowly opened her eyes. Her head was killing her and the cut from her elbow from earlier hurt just as bad. She groggily moved her head about and tried to move her body. She looked down. She was tied to a chair and there was duct tape on her mouth. The realization of what had happened before hand came rushing back to her. She started to cry and panic as she looked around the empty warehouse. She didn't recognize anything. She was terrified and more than anything she wanted to go home.
A metal blade rested against her cheek. "Oh good, you're awake," Eric said, whispering in her ear. He let the knife roll against her flesh as he walked in front of her. "You're going to be the most fun yet." His hand ran to her inner thigh as he laughed at her frightened eyes. He tapped her wedding ring with his knife. "Jun. Jun. Jun. Jun. Jun. Don't you wish he was here now? I wish he was here now. Cause I can't truly enjoy you until he's dead."
Jun searched through Eric's place, but he wasn't able to find anything that might lead him to where they went. Looking through Anna's phone, he checked her contacts. Eric was on speed dial. Pressing the number into his tracking system he pressed call.
The emptiness of the warehouse was suddenly filled with a whimsical tune as his phone began to ring. Eric just smiled as his eyes never left Anna's, even as he answered. "Hello?"
"You bastard where is she?" Jun yelled.
Anna screamed through the tap hoping that whoever was on the phone would hear her. She moved about in the chair trying to get lose. Her voice hurt with how hard she was screaming and all the thrashing eventually made her fall over. The chair and her body crashed to the ground. Her shirt moved up and she tried pushing it back down while she and the chair laid on her side. She kept screaming and crying hoping someone would hear.
"Would you like to talk to her? She's just dying to talk to you...." He smirked as he saw her shirt go up. Letting his knife trail up her stomach, a thin stream of blood began to develop. Finally he began to cut her shirt as he stared at her. "She's wearing a cute bra. And such wonderful breasts. No wonder you enjoy banging her."
Jun was shaking with fury. As he watched the timer count down...he needed just a few more seconds.
"Let me talk to her."
"You want to?" Eric ripped the tape off of Anna's mouth and held the phone out. "Hubby wants to say hi."
Anna screamed as the tap was roughly pulled from her mouth. When the phone pressed to her ear she was crying so hard it was hard to find words. "Jun, I'm so sorry...I'm so scared...Jun...I want to go home..."
Jun's heart broke as he heard her. He was going to kill this bastard. He was going to feel the life bleed out of his body and watch him die. "It's okay baby," he whispered, trying hard not to cry. "It's okay. You'll go home. I promise. We're getting married. I can't get married without my wife. I lo-"
"That's enough of that," Eric smirked. Kneeling beside her he lifted up her skirt and laughed. "Apparently your girl has a bit of a bondage fetish. Her panties are wet. Either that or she pissed herself."
"I swear to God I'm going to kill you!" Jun heard a beeping noise. He had their location.
Eric heard the noise in the background and smiled. Pressing the knife to Anna's thigh he roughly slid it down, slicing into her flesh. As Anna yelled in the background he laughed. "Come and get me."
Anna thrashed around and screamed. "Jun!" she yelled right before Eric hung up the phone. She was drowning herself in tears. It was hard to breath and all she could think about was that she was going to die. She thought about her parents and how she wished she spent more time with them and about how she yelled at Jun the last time she saw him. She didn't even get a chance to say she loved him.
Eric knelt back over her, his hands trailed over her body as he slid his knife over her. One by one he dug the knife into the flesh of each of her limbs, not enough to cause serious damage, but she felt the pain well enough. She was the bait. Once he had Jun, he could enjoy her. "Such a pretty like thing you are." He caressed her face once more before forcing the duct tape back on her mouth. He then pressed his finger to his lips as he smiled. "Shhh." He put his phone between her legs and patted them.
Jun called the cops personally. "Yes. No, I'm not lying! If you don't at least come check it out I'll have all your damn badges! This is my fiancee we're talking about. You better as hell get your asses their now!" Ending the conversation, he checked the GPS. Taking a right, he went to the warehouse district. He stopped where the beacon told him to. Going to his trunk he grabbed the only weapon he had. His katana from kendo. After this he was going to invest heavily in some handguns.
He tried to be stealthy, but the fact was that he was too worried about Anna to really care. When he moved the large door to see in, his eyes fell on her. He couldn't see anyone else; and he knew it was a trap, but that didn't matter. "Anna!" He rushed to her. She was covered in blood. Her shirt was cut and her skirt was slit up the sides. He pulled the tape from her mouth and tried to undo her bindings. As soon as he pulled the tape, he heard her warning too late. The knife slammed into his back and pain flooded his body.
"Glad to see you, Jun," Eric hissed as he pulled the knife out of Jun's back and Jun fell to his knees. Eric kicked the fallen katana away from him and laughed. He pushed the door of the warehouse shut once more so that he could take care of his prey.
Anna screamed. "Jun!" she cried out. She moved around, making the ropes dig in her skin. "Oh God! Jun! Please! Get up! Please!" she cried. "This can't be happening!" She lost her will to scream. All she could do was cry and begged to be let go. Jun needed a hospital.
Eric chuckled as Jun tried helplessly to reach for his katana. Eric kicked Jun in the side, making Jun roll over the ground in pain. Eric watching Anna as he slammed the knife into Jun's chest. As Jun gasped for air Eric pulled the knife out and moved back to Anna. "You want to save him?" He pressed the bloody knife to her cheek. "You want to save your husband?" His hand went down to her ring finger as he twisted it violently, a loud snapping sound could be heard as he broke her ring finger.
Eric's eyes trailed over her body, the edge of the knife going beneath her skirt and between her legs. "I want to hear you scream."
Anna screamed in pain. She looked over at Jun. "Get up..." she begged. "You have to run... Just get up..."
"I said I want to hear you scream!" The knife slid against her thigh, leaving a long gash across it as he brought his knife up and began slicing at her chest and stomach. After three slashes, her upper torso was covered in blood. Back handing her, he grabbed her face roughly so that she would look at him. "Scream for me."
Anna had no choice. The pain was unbearable. She closed her eyes trying to escape while she screamed. Her throat ached. She thought of Jun as she screamed. She wanted him safe so badly. He was bleeding so much. Anna's head bobbed lightly. She was feeling light headed.
Eric smiled. "You can scream louder than that. I know you can. I'm certain you've screamed louder when he screwed you!" He stabbed the knife into her hand, pinning it to the chair handle as he grabbed her face. "Beg me for your life. Beg me for his life!"
Anna screamed just as he wanted. It was getting harder to focus. Was it because of the pain or was she losing too much blood? She looked over at Jun on the ground. "Jun..." she whispered. "Please...don't hurt Jun...I'll do anything...just let him go..." she begged with a weak voice.
Eric laughed. "Every time! I swear it never gets old! Listening to you scream for help. Scream for his life!" He pulled the knife out of her hand. "Well, I'm afraid that I've had about as much fun as I can. I'm certain the cops are on their way. So...it's time for you to die. So sorry. You won't make your wedding day after all. I'm certain you would've looked lovely."
"Go to hell!" Eric turned around just to have Jun's fist slam into his face. Eric stumbled back, but looked like Jun was just barely able to stand. His shirt was drenched in blood and he was pale as death.
"You see, that's what I like about you, Jun. You're a fighter." He wiped the blood from his mouth and twirled his knife. He was going to kill them. As he swung the knife, Jun jumped back, nearly falling over as he did so. The knife came down again, and he fell back to avoid it. As he fell, his hand grabbed something familiar.
The knife came down again, but this time it clanged against another metal blade. "That's not a weapon," Jun whispered. Blood filling his every syllable. "This is a weapon." Flicking the knife to the side, his sword ran across Eric's chest before he quickly stabbed the man with the sword. Even as he did that he felt his grip slip. Eric roared in pain, but he pulled the sword out with the intent to finish Jun off with it. As he came down with the sword, Jun grabbed the dropped knife and kicked Eric's legs out from beneath him. Eric fell on top of him, the knife going deep into his chest.
Jun laid there for quite some time until he finally got the strength to push Eric off of him. "I told you," he whispered to Anna as he crawled over to her. "I told you..." He passed out before he could pull her out of the chair. She wasn't much help as the blood lose took hold and she lost consciousness. In the distance police sirens sounded. When the cops got there they found Jun and Anna...but no Eric.
Anna's mother stroked Anna's hair lightly while Anna's father sat next to Jun. It had taken five hours of surgery to fix Jun. Luckly, nothing major was damaged, but he lost a lot of blood and the wounds were deep. Anna had been in surgery twice already. More than once her heart gave out and they had to open her chest just to start it again. Her mother held her hand and cried thinking of the same time Anna had been in the hospital for a broken heart, literally. She hated hospitals so much and all she could think about was that she was going to lose another child.
Mike ran a rag over Jun's forehead to stop his sweating. He looked over at Anna who still hadn't woken. The small monitor beeped as her heart pounded. It was steady but very weak. He looked at Jun's monitor. His heart was strong. Jun was such a fighter. He hoped Anna would find a way to fight as well.
Reisha knocked on the door as she poked her head in. She'd been crying. This was her third visit today. "H-how are they doing? The police say they still haven't found Eric."
Anna's mother couldn't look up. The only thing she was allowed to touch was Anna's hair and only one of her hands. She was so unstable the doctors were afraid that she would crash again if moved too much. Anna's father sighed.
"No change. They still won't wake up and until they do...well...we can't say," he said with tears in his eyes. "Please, come in. They could use the friends."
Reisha nodded. She took a seat between the two of them. Her two best friends were laying in a state...she hoped she’d never see again. "How...I mean...how could this happen?"
"I should have told her she could go! I should have told her she had to stay home and study! I should have been more of a mother instead of a friend!" Anna's mother cried out. "I can't loose another child! I won't live! I just can't do it!"
Anna's father walked over to her and rubbed her shoulders. "It's not your fault. It's not anyone's fault." He held her close while she cried.
There was another knock at the door as the police chief came in. "Ma'am. Sir." He took off his hat and looked at the children. Shaking his head, he turned back to the parents. "We still haven't been able to locate him. We're stationing patrols cars at your house and we'll have guards outside this room. If what Jun was able to pull up was true at this guy is Richard Freemont, then there's a great possibility that he might try to attack them again."
Helena's eyes narrowed. "You put every man you have out there on this! This is my baby lying on this bed!"
"Helena, calm down," Mike said. He shook the man's hand. "Thank you for all your help. Will you be keeping some men in the halls and watching the door in case he comes here?"
The chief nodded. "There was a lot of blood at the scene. I'm not certain how much of it is his, but I'm assuming that the lad here must have wounded him pretty badly if he didn't...well, if he didn't finish them off before we got to them. We'll have as many men as we can spare watching over them, but I doubt he'll try anything until he heals up."
"Gee, that's comforting," Reisha muttered.
Mike nodded. "I understand."
"Well I don't!" Helena yelled. "Just get out!"
Mike signed and shook the man’s hand again before he left. He went and sat next to Jun again.
Jun moaned softly. His eyes didn't open, and his voice was barely audible. However, it was still a sign. "Anna...."
Reisha's eyes widened. "Jun!" She started to rush to him, but Anna's father kept her from hugging him. He had just whispered something in his sleep. Nothing more.
"He's done that a few times, but nothing more," Anna's father said lightly to Reisha.
Reisha sighed and sat back down. "Well...at least it sounds as if he's making some kind of recovery."
"It's only been a day. It could take days...weeks for them to wake up," he said softly.
Anna's mother tried to hide a soft cry in the background.
It was a week before Jun finally stirred. His eyes fluttered open for a second, and then he quickly sat up. Pain swam through his body as he pulled at his IV chords in that instant. "Anna!" He searched around the room, not knowing where he was until he saw her parents and her body. "Anna..." He laid back down slowly.
"Easy, son. Just relax," Mike said placing a hand on Jun's shoulder. Anna's mother walked over to him and hugged him tightly.
"We've been so worried. I'm so glad you are awake," Helena said with tears in her eyes. She and Mike both had dark rings under their eyes. They hadn't slept much.
Jun was groggy. It was hard to think straight with the medication. "What...happened? How's Anna?" That was all he could think of at that moment. The only things he really cared about.
Anna mother couldn't help but break down again. Mike held her close while looking at Jun. "No one knows what happened but you and Anna...and the man that did it to you. The police found you in a pool of blood and Anna strapped to a chair bleeding out." He glanced at Anna then back at Jun. "She's not doing so well. Her heart gave out a few times and they had to open her chest to restart it. She and you both lost a lot of blood. But it's nice to see that you are awake. It gives us hope for Anna."
A metal blade rested against her cheek. "Oh good, you're awake," Eric said, whispering in her ear. He let the knife roll against her flesh as he walked in front of her.
