Demon & Vampire bound together for eternity.
Demon bound to an ancient temple hidden deep within a forest and protected. Temple can only be seen by those with the blood of demons. Demon cursed to serve and feed from the one who frees him.
The young man was taken on his way home from the clubs one night. He and 10 other young men and women were taken deep within the woods where the vampires wanted to play a game. The conversion to vampire was started in each on of them, and then they were released into the forest to be hunted as they turned and go feral from hunger.
The vampire who started his conversion lingered over him noticing the strange taste and hint of power in his blood. The vampiric conversion awakens the demon blood within him. The demon blood fights with the vampire blood as he stumbles though the forest extending the conversion and making it more painful. He is watched by the vampires as they notice the difference in his conversion. After three days of hunger and pain, blindly following a pull in his blood he stumbles across a clearing and disappears from the view of the vampires following him. One of the newly turned seeing disappear rushes forward only to be flung backwards, crashing into a tree.
“Bring her here. Kat, head back to V and let the Serpent know what has happened. Everyone else gather what fledglings that have survived and bring them here.”
Meanwhile with in the clearing, a pale-skinned, red-winged demon stares down in shock at the figure collapsed before him.
“Has the barrier weakened, that such a weakling was able to pass though?” He looks up as the other vampire is flung away from the clearing. “Guess not,” he whispers as he couches down to take a closer look at the figure before him. Hands shoot out clutching at his shoulders as fangs sink deep into is neck. A stillness falls over him with the piercing of his flesh, at the first shallow of his blood the magic springs forth binding him to the figure before him. The words of the curse slip though his mind as he sinks into darkness.
“The first conflicted demon to pass beyond the barrier and feast upon your blood, shall be your master, food and heart.”
He forces his eyes open one last time as he hears voices from beyond the barrier. The last thing he sees is the vampires scattering about following the orders given to them.
Three hours later he awakens laying atop the tomb with the young man sitting next to him. He scramble to his feet, his hand clutching at the healed bite mark, eyes radiating fury as he stares at the young man who is now his master.
“They have the clearing surrounded and for the past hour they have been testing the barrier,” He turns to the blue-eyed demon, his amber eyes softly glowing in the night. The demon's eyes widen in shock as yet another phrase from his youth rings though his head. “The amber-eyed vampire will be either your salvation or destruction.”
To find that the conflicted demon who would enslave him and the amber-eyed vampire who would be either his savior or destroyer, leaves him stunned and has him searching his memory for any other tid bits of the curse and prophesy he can remember.
The vampire turns his head to the sky, “Unfortunately, dawn will be here soon and if I am anything like the vampires of legend and TV, you'll be sitting next to a crispy corpse in a bit.”
The demon leaps down from the tomb, “I am called Zal, Master.” He reaches up to the startled vampire, “I do not know about vampires of legend or TV but you are different from those out there. Your demon blood was awaken, while it is weak, it does provide you with some demonic power. As for the sun you can rest here.” Removing the lid of the tomb, he reveals a empty chamber, lined with silk and a soft pillow undamaged by time.
“Master? Why do you call me that? My name is Sean.”
“In you go Master Sean. As you said the dawn is fast approaching, even the others are leaving to find some place away from the sun.”
“What about you? There is no room in there for the both of us and your wings.” He yelps in startlement as Zal picks him up and places him in the tomb.
“Do not worry about me, Master Sean. I have survived here for two millennium and I will continue to survive by your side for your lifetime.”
Sean had quit listening at the words two millennium , “Two millennium?” He whispers in wonderment as Zal lowers the lid into place. “Stop calling me…” the words are cut off as the lid closes and seals itself in place.
“Rest well, Master. I will seek out our enemies this day and remove them from the battlefield.” He strides across the clearing appearing before the last of the vampires in a flash of light as the barrier falls revealing the contents of the clearing to all in the area.
“Was not expecting that. Oh well,” Said with a shrug and grin, “just means you all will have to disappear before the sun is up.” He lunges forward in a burst of speed as the two nearest him fall to the ground, one his head ripped off, the other with his throat gone clear to his spinal column.
Just as the first rays of light spread over the horizon Zal appears next to the tomb with a staked vampire that he quickly buries beneath the ground. He settles himself atop the tomb and turns his flesh to stone to protect him from the rays of the sun just as the first ray reaches the tomb.
With the last rays of the setting sun disappearing over the horizon, the stone statue crumbles into dust beneath the chains and startled gazes of the humans surrounding the tomb. A pale white hand burst forth from the ground dragging one of the men deep down into the earth. A moment later the ground burst forth in flames engulfing two more men. Leaving just three men who take off running. Zal burst forth from the ground behind them, with a burst of speed, he punches though the back of the third man.
Just as he reaches the second man he senses Sean awaken with in the tomb and start to panic in the pitch blackness of the tombs interior. He grabs the man picking up speed to run down the last man before him, when the one he is holding suddenly drives a silver blade into his back. He roars in pain as he flings the man from him, causing him to crash head first into a tree and die instantly. He reaches around trying to reach the blade when suddenly there is a scream of pain from the direction of the tomb. Knife forgotten, he races towards Sean. He reaches for Sean mentally and realizes the scream came as a result of the knife in his back. It startles him to find out the link works both ways, he quickly shuts the link down not wanting the boy in his mind any more then necessary.
Zal quickly moves the bodies of the humans out of the clearing as Sean fights with the lid of the tomb trying to get out. As soon as the clearing is free of the human remains Zal recovers the vampire he buried that morning. Just as Zal gets the lid off the tomb, a fist comes bursting out hitting square in the jaw.
“Get that sword out of your back, and don't you ever cut me off again. If you had died how the hell was I supposed to get out of that thing?” Sean shouts.
“I can not reach the blade and before you come near me and this knife, EAT!” pointing at the paralyzed vampire at Sean's feet.
The smell of fresh blood reaches Sean's senses as he stares down at the fallen vampire, sudden movement to the side rivets his attention on Zal as he takes to the air. “I can not feed you at this time, take everything you can from that one. You will need the excess energy after you pull the blade from me to feed and heal me, Master.”
