Touma: My point.
DL: Ok, that was meaningless, on to chapter 5.

Between Dates Chapter 5

//
"Seiji… Koi!" There was nothing but darkness all around him. Turning wildly from side to side Touma sought out the swordsman among the nothingness.
Where did he go? Did he leave me, after… after last night? Memories of the night flashed before the blue hair archer like film from an old movie. The images of hands sliding across flesh the sound of moans and pants filling the darkness. Touma closed his eyes the feeling of his loves hands and most especial his mouth surrounding and pleasuring him made Touma shiver with desire and fear. "Is that all he wanted? Is that why I'm here alone…"
"Seiji! Seiji!" The images multiply surrounding him, tightening, strangling him until he could take no more. Casting his arms out Touma screamed. //
"No!" Bolting upward Touma gasped finding himself back in his guest room. It took him a minute to remembered Seiji leading him here after their make out session.
"Seiji." He felt the name slip from his lips as he pulled himself free from the covers. He slid back the bathroom doors that divided their rooms to find Seiji's bed neatly made a small note resting upon it.

Sorry Tou, I had to go to class, I'll see you in a couple hours.
Love Seiji

Touma blinked surprised Seiji had written 'love' on the note. He smiled sweetly at the small piece of paper revealing in the feeling that single word gave before paranoia slipped in again. /What if someone had found it?/ Deciding it needed to be destroyed Touma made his way back to his room, note in hand as he tried to think of the best way to destroy it. /Fire? Too dangerous might burn the house down. Ripping it to piece, someone might put it together. Water… yeah soak it in water and it will be unreadable then rip it to piece… That's excessive./ Touma turned back to the bathroom and started to reach for the knob when a ringing stopped him. Though he hadn't heard it before he knew it was the door bell. /Seiji?/ Dropping the note in the sink Touma turned the water on and then rushed to answer the door as the bell rang again.
*****************************************
Squeezing his fist tighter Mr. Date rang the bell for the fifth time. He knew Seiji was at the dojo practicing with Mokuto but he wasn't sure about the other boy. /Hashiba…/ The name hissed in his mind making his hand tighten more. He knew why the door was locked or at least he could guess. He couldn't accept it, he wouldn't! His son, his only son couldn't possible…
Taking a deep breath Sanno reminded himself that he was not alone and raised his hand to knock as the door opened. A ruffled blue head poked through the door. Sapphire eyes widened as he took in the sight of Mr. Date. The older man noticed Hashiba's eyes flicker back to the people behind him before he suddenly drew back the door bowing.
"I'm sorry," He bowed. "I was in the back and it took me a few minutes to…"
"Never mind, Hashiba…-san." He cast the boy a glance noting that he still had cover dents on his arms from sleep. /Must have just gotten up… lazy!/
"Noria-san and two of her students are here and will be staying for a couple of days to train with Seiji and Mokuto." He said off handily. The blue haired home wrecker stood at that before bowing to Noria-san and her two students.
"Noria-san this is Hashiba Touma. He's staying here for a while. "
"I see, it is nice to meet you, Hashiba-san. This is Sario Saya my niece and that is Hoshi Dai one of my students."
"Nice to meet you," The three youths said bowing to one another.
"Come along and I'll show to your rooms." With that the four continued down the hall Mr. Date not bothering to look back at Hashiba as he heard the front door close.
As they pass through hall toward the bedroom he caught the sound of running water and frowned. /He wouldn't. Seiji wouldn't be here. He won't forsake his training to…/ His frown deepened as he passed the first bedroom door noting that it had to be Hashiba's. The bed wasn't made, clothing lying on the floor and items overflowing the bags he'd brought. /Slob!/
"These are the three other bedrooms." He point out making sure his aloof expression stayed on his face despite the fact that he was fuming inside. "There is the master bedroom there." He motioned down the hall to the last door.
"Thank you Date-san. I'm going to have Saya and Dai rest a bit before they go down to the dojo. " Noria explained.
"Good, my son should be home in a little over an hour and he will guide you to the dojo for afternoon practice."
"Sounds great, see you then Date-san." They bowed again in parting as the three staked out their room bags in hands, three doors sliding shut simultaneously. Alone at last he turned marching up the hall a few feet to Seiji's room. He yanked open the door and smiled as he noted it was empty but the bathroom… Stomping forward he yanked open the door to find the blue haired bear of Tenku washing his face.
Touma looking up at him eyes widening in surprise before a blush stained his cheeks. At first he didn't understand why until he realized the boy was only in a towel.
"Sorry I thought Seiji was here?" The man offer as he took a step back closing the door before Hashiba could stay any thing. /Well…/Turning he head out of the room and down the hall passed Hashiba's now closed door and toward the front. Making sure to lock the front door Sanno left erasing as he went the images of the young 'man' in the towel. Water droplets falling from his pale face as the blushed stretched from one side of his young face to the other. /Though I hate to admit it, that… boy isn't bad looking. For a boy./
***********************************
The archer sighed before opening his hand to look at the bleeding words Seiji had written. /That was too damn close./ Balling up the letter his squeezed the excess water from the words before reopening it to find the words smeared. Tossing the watery wade of paper in the toilet he flushed it down. /There. No chance of anyone finding it down there./ Hanging the towel that was around his waist back up Touma reached for the shower knobs deciding a nice shower would do wonder for him right then. As the hot water fell upon his skin memories from last night returned with a vengeance. Touma only smiled as he relived the feeling of Seiji mouth on his length teasing and tasting him and afterward as Touma returned the feeling with his hands. Seiji moaning with delight gasping as he came. Sighed the archer leaned back against the wall wishing that his blonde was there right then. /Guests in the house remember? Damn!/
**************************************
A sigh slipped passed his sealed lips before he realized it. /Touma… No, no focus. You can think about last night later./ Again Seiji strived to lock away the images of last night but both to his delight and dismay he couldn't. Every time he closed his eyes to mediate he thoughts were bombard by memories of last night. A shiver passed though his body as he remembered Touma's hands on his… Shit! Stop think about that./ He only had a few more minute of meditation then he could return to his angel.
"Seiji?" the blonde blinked cast his eyes toward the far door to see his grandfather watching him.
"Yes, Sensei."
"You seem distracted today. Is everything all right?" /Hell yes, better then alright./
"Yes, grandfather." He decided to drop the more formal title.
"Despite your distracted appearance you seem very happy, grandson." Seiji remained silent. "I am pleased with this change, though I wish I were privileged to know the reason for it." Seiji mental gaped at this but outwardly he simple stared at his grandfather before the staring match became too much and Seiji looked away out of respect and guilt.
"I'm not sure."
"I see, it is a shame," the oldest Date sighed. "That you don't trust us."
"Nani!?" But by the time he looked up to where the old man was he was gone. "He can't…" /He can't know?!/Pulling himself to his feet Seiji raced to the hall but found that it was completely empty. /He can't know, can he?/
/ "Seiji are you sure your mom doesn't know?"/ Touma had thought so; he'd mentioned it more then once. /But how…/
His mind whirling Seiji took off down the hallway. /Grandfather… Mom… Dad?/ His eyes widened as he realized that might be why his father was acting so harshly toward Touma. /I'll find mom, she the only one I can ask. She loves Touma, I know she'll approve… if she hasn't already./
*************************************
Shin frowned deeply as the girls dress in plaid skirts and white blouses pestered both he and Shu. Asking for picture and such as if they were some sort of movie stars.
"He's so hot."
"Why aren't all guys this hot?"
"Wait till my x sees this."
Deciding that he'd had enough Shin grabbed Shu and exited from the crowd. "Sorry but we've got an appointment to keep." Shin said simply as he heard them whimper.
"What appointments?" Shu asked.
"Just come on."
When they were far enough way from the group of school girls Shin slowed releasing his lover's hand.
"That was just too much."
"What?"
"That!"
"Oh you mean those girls." Shin didn't response so Shu continued. "Oh come on it not every day they see a stud like me here in Britain." He flexed and Shin rolled his eyes."
"It's just weird. I mean we're not that good looking."
"Speak for yourself," Shu teased.
"I mean this happens to Ryo too. Nasuti complains about it all the time."
"Ryo get pestered by school girls."
"Well," Shin grimaced. "That was a bit extreme but you know what I mean. It happened with guys too. It's like they can't resist us." Shin said thoughtfully.
"Dude do you realize what you just said?"
"It's true, think about it and it's not just in looks. Think about how trouble always finds us. Like what happen to Touma." Shu frown think back to the incident.
"I see what you're saying but maybe it just bad luck."
"Maybe…" Shin muttered. /But I think it something more. The armors probably, they seem to attract people to us; whether good or bad. The power draws attention to us either consciously or unconsciously./
"Shin?"
"Yeah."
"I'm hungry."
********************************************
Sighing Seiji unlocked the front door quietly and slipped inside, the sound of the TV in the living room assuring him that Touma was wake. Closing and locking the door behind him Seiji strolled into the other room, his eyes falling upon a shock of blue resting on crème colored cushions. The channel changed from some cooking show to a baseball game.
Smiling to himself Seiji merely watched his love from behind imaging Touma's starry eyes following the game as he slipped a coke… /Where he find a coke?/ Shrugging it off Seiji stealthily approached grateful for this time when it was just the two of them.
He had been unable to find his mom and Satsuki said she went off for the afternoon and wouldn't return until dinner. So he decided the questioning would have to wait.
Reaching the couch Seiji leaning down encircling the startled archer's shoulders placing a soft kiss on the archer's neck.
"Seiji!"
"Did I scare you?" he asked kissing his neck again.
"No Seiji there's-"
"Whoa!" Seiji jumped back nearly falling on the floor as he spun to face a… girl! "Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I'll just- um."
"Sario-san wait!" Touma called to the retreating form before looked at Seiji. His eyes worried, brow creasing.
"Crap! Who the hell was that?" Seiji gasped. His mind replaying the mixed girl's startled face as she walked in on them.
"One of Noria-san's niece." Touma explained quickly before stand and walking in the direction the girl went.
"Where are you going?"
"She saw us, I'll talk to her."
"…"
"Don't worry and…" He winked though the worry was still evident. "Thanks for the note." With that he was gone. Leaving Seiji torn between a goofy grin and a concerned frown.
************************************
"Saya-san." Touma knock lightly on the girl's door hoping not to wake the other two new arrivals. /Kami this is bad. What if she does listen what if she decides to tell?/ They'd been talking for a little over an hour and she seemed nice. Very energetic and rather violent, but Touma liked her. She was only half Japanese as was obvious by her dark skin and long wavy hair.
"Sa-" The door slid open and paled face peeked out. "Can I talk with you?"
The girl nodded her opening the door a bit more.
Touma stepped in and she slid it closed.
"So, that's Seiji. Date-san's son." She asked casually trying to hide the blush.
"Yeah, listen I'll cut to the chase. Me and Seiji are involved, but his family doesn't know and we'd both like to keep it that way."
"I see. Well I assumed as much when I saw him sucking on your neck." Now it was Touma turn to flush.
"…"
"Don't worry Touma-san. I won't tell anyone. But tell me something." Touma nodded. "Why are the cute ones always gay?"
Saya laughed at Touma's confused expression before joining her.
"I have no idea ask Seiji."
The door to the hall slid open and Noria-san glanced in. Her eyebrows raised as she saw Touma before saying, "I just want to make sure you were awake.
"Yeah, auntie, oh and Seiji-san is here."
"Good. I'm going to go make lunch."
Saya nodded as the woman slid the door closed.
"So Touma-san do you take kendo too?"
*****************************************
Kyo arrived a little after dinner had started and wasn't surprised to see that there was an extra link added to the table as three new arrivals stared up at her.
"Sorry I'm late every one work kept me over." She didn't elaborate knowing how her hospital talk often upset other people.
"It's all right. I am pleased to meet you Mrs. Date."
"Same to you Noria-san and thank you for taking this time out of your schedule to train with our boys."
"It's no problem, after all Saya-san and Dai-san are both getting just as much out of this as are Seiji-san and Mokuto-san, ne Date-san."
Both elder men nodded as Kyo took her seat next to her husband. The meal went on in quite conversation until Noria-san direct her attention upon Touma. The young man blinked at the woman obliviously not hearing the question.
"I'm sorry I wasn't listening." Touma answered sheepishly and Kyo heard her husband snort in disdain.
"I was wonder why you're here, if you don't mind me asking? Saya said you don't take kendo so I was simply wondering…"
"He's a friend of mine." Seiji injected. "I invited him here to spend the summer."
"I see." She smiled coolly.
"It's a pity you'd probably make a pretty good swordsman." She continued either not caring that she was make the table uncomfortable or enjoying it.
"I don't think so." He offered awkwardly.
"Neither do I." Sanno said, speaking for the first time all night. "Swordsman ship takes disciple, dedication and style. They are things I very much doubt Hashiba-san has." The table was dead quiet as everyone stared first at her husband and then poor Touma who looked as though he'd been punched in the stomach.
"Father…" Satsuki exclaimed.
"Date-san, that wasn't very polite," Noria-san's niece stated glaring at him.
"No it was not." Seiji all but growled at the man sitting a foot down from him.
"I apologize, it's late. Excuse me." With that he stood leaving the still, silence table.
Kyo debated her options; she didn't want to leave her house guest but this need to be taking care of. She looked up to her father who nodded for her to follow Sanno. She did, excusing herself and gracefully leaving the dinning room. She heard the front door silently close and headed that way.
****************************************
The table held its silence no one daring to say a word, the gravity of the insult thrown at Touma still hanging in the air. Mokuto heard the front door close and it seem to snap the silence.
"I am sorry Touma-san I didn't mean for that-"
"It's alright, Noria-san." Touma said quickly as he stood excusing himself and left the opposite away of the Dates.
Mokuto watched wishing that Torin was there, he'd have loved the show. Slowly counting down in his mind Mokuto watched Seiji who was squeezing the life out of his chopsticks. They final snapped under Seiji's hand and he quickly stood not even noticing the gash the wood have caused in his palm and went to find his 'lover'.
Smiling inwardly Mokuto continued eating as did the remainder of the family and guests. /Now that was interesting./
"Oi, Oneechan, what do you think that was about?" Satsuki asked her older sis in a whisper that everyone heard.
Yayoi only shrugged slipping a few noodles into her mouth. /If only they knew./
********************************************
The world around him was blurred as he sped through the wood not sure where he was going but he had to get away. His chest burned; hurting so badly that Touma wasn't sure how he was even getting air in. But it didn't matter he felt like dying, those hurtful words filling his head but more then that it was the eyes, the entire room focused on him. Analyzing him, waiting for him to react; wondering if what the man said had been true.
/How could he say that? He doesn't even know me? God I can't go back there. I- Seiji…/ Touma blinked trying to stop as Seiji stepped in front of him. Unable to stop in time Touma skidded into the blonde nearly knocking them to the ground. Blinking Touma looked at the arms around then realizing that Seiji was in his sub armor. /No wonder he caught up to me./
"Touma?" The second his name slipped from Seiji's lip all of the anger and sadness burst to the surface as he yanked away from the blonde; stumbling as he backed away.
"Leave me alone I'm going back to Toyama."
"Why?"
"You know why, you were just there! Your father hates me." Touma nearly screamed. /What the hell… Why he look so calm!? I hate it when he looks like that when I'm like this./
"So." Seiji replied quietly. /So?!/ Touma was at a loss.
"What do you mean 'so'?! Your father hates me. Don't you even care?"
"What my father thinks?" Seiji advanced his sub-armor still on violet eyes locked Touma's. "No, not when it comes to you?"
"Wha-"
*****************************************
Seiji had managed to calm him down enough as he sealed his last declaration with a kiss.
"But…" Touma began the moment their lips parted.
"I'm going to tell him and grandfather and the whole family tomorrow."
"Nani, demo Seiji?!"
"Shhh. I've already decided." Actually he'd decided a bit ago. He didn't want to hide this from his family plus all signs pointed toward his family already knowing. In fact he was almost sure of it. /Grandfather words had been so straight forward and yet suggestive./
"But the tournament-"
"Doesn't matter."
"Your family-"
"Will understand."
The archer looked very unsure not that he was getting a say in it.
"You don't need to worry about it. I promise, every thing is going to be ok." Seiji smiled rubbing his finger across Touma's cheek.
"I don't want to lose you."
"You won't no matter what." Leaning in he kissed Touma much deeper then before. His love's response was hesitant but it came as Seiji felt the archer wrap his arms around his back. /You have nothing to worry about Touma. I'll take care of everything especially my father. "Swordsmanship takes disciple, dedication and style. They are things I very much doubt Hashiba-san has." You don't know the first thing about my Touma. I'll make you sorry you said that to him./ Seiji quelled the anger burning inside him. It wouldn't be good for Touma to see or feel it. /Tomorrow I'll deal with it, tomorrow./
****************************************
"I don't care, you had no right to do that to him," Kyo's voice was laced with anger though it remained as light as the sakura blossoms. "You will apologize to him in front of everyone. You will not ruin this."
"How can you sit by and let this happen? He's our only son and now he's being… no he is corrupted and it's all that damn-"
"You know that's not true." /Yes I know it but-/ His wife continued. "You will not destroy their love, Date Sanno!" She hissed the last words and he knew better then to continue this discussion.
"I can't promise that." He told her simply and turned to leave.
"Sanno, please for his happiness, please just accept that our son, who's suffer so much is finally happy. He deserves to be happy."
/I know that but Hashiba doesn't deserve him./ Sanno, who had paused momentarily to hear his wife out, started forward again heading deeper into the woods surrounding the Date home.
/Damn it! This wasn't supposed to happen. I was supposed to continue to carry this family into greatness. Damn it! I abandon my family's name to take on the Date's. But from there everything went amiss. First the blonde hair./ Sanno could still hear the mummers of Kyo's supposed betrayal. Everyone thought she'd had an affair and even now over nineteen years later those with nothing better to due discussed the origin of Seiji's blonde hair and pale violet eyes. After that the child had become sick, deathly ill in fact. And Sanno despite himself had hoped secretly that the child would die. /I remember staring down at that pale face, into those eyes and at that hair none of which were mind… or so I thought at the time. I wanted that blight gone. If he'd die the dishonor would fade with the memories. I was so… cruel, so selfish, so blind./
Sanno reached his hands into his robe rubbing the blade mark that stretched across his belly from were he'd nearly commit seppuku for his distrust in his wife and for wishing their only son dead. /I truly want to die once Korin came to Seiji and I realized what a tremble mistake I'd made. I'd sunned my wife for years since Seiji's birth even after she gave birth to Satsuki. I hated her from the dishonor I thought she had brought and when I found that I was wrong. / Strong fingers continued to trace the scar as his ears picked up whispered movements in the woods ahead of him. Slowing Sanno focus all of his sense in that direction.
"…Seiji…"
The older man's eyes widened at the sight of his son and the other boy. Hashiba's arms wrapped about Seiji's neck and head. His own head throw back in gasp as Seiji kissed along his throat and shoulders. His face projecting a look of perverted ecstatic, eyes close mouth opened in a silent cry that filled Sanno's mind even after he departed from the scene.
