Back at The Dojo

Kenshin stopped washing the cloths to stare up at the sky, seeing the way it was darkening. ` Maybe Sessha shouldn't worry about Miss Kaoru, and then again I should. Maybe I can get Sano to get her for me.' Entering through the dojo doors Kenshin looked for Sano. When he found him he and Yahiko were in the kitchen on the floor rolling around holding their stomach. " Kenshin you still haven't made dinner? Are you trying to make us starve?" Kenshin just rubbed his left arm. " Sessha thinks that Miss Kaoru has been gone for to long, could you get her for me Sano, she's at the Akabeto." Sano stood up still holding his stomach. " Kenshin cut the girl some slack she's a grown woman she can do whatever she wants. She doesn't need to tell us where she's at, where she's going, or what time she'll be back. And if she's at the Akabeto you don't need to worry." Kenshin sighed. " Maybe Sessha should accompany her on her way back home."

"Whatever Kenshin just pick us up some food while your there." Yahiko let out a huge chuckle. " And this time don't let Busu cook!"

"Sessha will be back soon."

There was a knock at the door. Kaoru sighed hard. " Who is it?" "Frey, Boss."

"Come in." Walking slowly into the office he stopped right by the chair closest to the door. " Boss, you have mail from the company that Kanreyu run's." Kaoru just sat there biting down on her finger. " From Kanreyu's company, uh?" she simply repeated. "What the hell does he want?"

" I don't know, I haven't read the letter."

Kaoru started to twirl the pen she had in her hand and licked her bottom lip. " You wouldn't be lying to me now would you Frey?"

" Of course not boss."

Waiting with her hand out for the letter she nearly lost her patients.

"Sorry!" He laid the letter on her waiting hand waiting for her approval.

"I have no more need of your services right now, you may go." Frey only nodded and left closing the door behind him.

Opening the letter she could not believe what it said. " Kanreyu wants to work with me." She slowly laid her pen down. " He must be low on money." " To bad, I'm not working with him." She pulled at a stamp that has the words REJECTED on it. She dipped it in ink and pressed it on the letter. Pushing a button on her speaker box she called for Enishi. In less than two minutes Enishi showed up. " Enishi be a doll and give this letter to Frey and tell him to mail it to Kanreyu's company."

Without saying a word he left. Mean while Kaoru picked up her leather jacket and keys. Looking at her watch she decided it was time to go. Leaving the office making sure she locked the door she headed down stairs.

" Boss! You leaving," Frey yelled.

"Yes, and I am taking my keys for I don't have to go through that shit again with you. And you know Frey this company is going to be very powerful, I'll make sure of that. You keep this up and you wont be apart of it."
