Summary: It was fifteen years ago that Ryuhou and Kazuma started the great rebellion against HOLY. When they're ready to believe that the battles were over, HOLY sends an unexpected surprise. It's a one man army, but that man is a sixteen year old teen cloned from both of the alters' cells. Do they accept it as their son or an atrocity created to be stronger than them from HOLY?
A/N: Please, I'd appreciate to not be told that I need a beta reader, even though I realize I do need one…badly. Also…I'd like some criticism! Boy, some author I am. ^-^; No flames, because I did warn you that this was Yaoi!

`It felt like a crime that I cried for that man who lost his friend...no. She was his lover. It wasn't right. That woman…she gave her own life away for him.' His fingers twitched against the off white sheets as the images progressed into something that almost felt real. `There was another man there as well. This one had crimson hair and he was crying for the other's pain and also for his own. For what, I'm not sure. But I could feel both of them tormented by the pain. I was crying. I'm sorry. I wanted to tell them I was sorry.' His back arched up off the bed, causing him to groan in agony. He opened his mouth, releasing a blood curdling scream. `I know them! No… They're leaving me!' He broke away from his dreams, the needles and cords connected to his body becoming unattached. His throat became hoarse and raw as he kept screaming in pain and fear.
The door burst open as two dark forms rushed in and strapped his struggling body to the bed. One of them stuck his arm with a serum needle and rubbed it in. “Shh, quiet now. It's all over.” A feminine voice reassured. She massaged the teen's shoulder, relaxing him into another deep sleep. She then peered over at her partner, silently demanding for him to leave. The other nodded once and left the room. “Well, I'm beginning to think you're another failed experiment, Ryuma. But how could you, out of one-hundred twenty-two, have survived?” A low grumble erupted from her throat. “Maybe I'll keep you a little longer to see what happens.” She walked out of the room and closed the door behind her with a soft click.
Ryuma opened his eyes groggily and stared into the darkness. A small light from under the door illuminated his golden eyes brightly. Every fiber in his body shook with invisible rage. He hated that conceited woman. If it wasn't for her, pushing him to use his alter everyday, he would have a decent sleep. But no, she had to put him through hell from dawn until dusk. His left arm hurt, however, so did his chest. He wasn't able to explain that pain. It was just there. He tried to tell someone about it, but they just ignored him like he was a stray kitten begging for scraps of fish. He was unable to hold back the agonized tears that slipped down his face and into his dark green locks. The world became increasingly dark as he fell into another less, blissful rest.

Two alters stood at the edge of a cliff, staring off into the distance at the wall that departed the mainland from the Lost Ground. “I wonder what's been going on with the HOLY. Do you think they've given up?” Kazuma stared at the taller man from behind him, smiling slightly.
Ryuhou shook his head, staring down at the ground. “I somehow doubt it. I think they're up to something.” He approached Kazuma to stand beside him. “It's a feeling that there's going to be a battle much worse than what we've been through before.”
Kazuma scoffed. “There's no battle that I'll be defeated in!”
“I didn't say that you or I would be defeated. I just meant that it would be more intense.” Ryuhou crossed his arms, as if waiting for a brainless response from his rival so he could counter it with one of his smart ass replies. However, it never came. “What's the matter?” He looked up at Kazuma, suddenly feeling out of place with the strange gaze he was receiving.
The crimson haired alter smiled warmly. It wasn't often he smiled like that, not unless he was thinking of something gracious. “You know. I just happen to of noticed that your scars have healed a little. But there's still those four that make you attractive.” He chuckled when Ryuhou's face flushed. “I can't say the same for me though.” He ran his index finger across the long scar that crossed the bridge of his nose, onto both his cheeks. The one below it wasn't quite so broad though. He sighed softly as he gazed at his right arm. “At least my arm doesn't hurt anymore.”
Ryuhou smiled with sympathy. “You should go back to Kanami. You need to settle down and raise a family. I can take care of the mainland all by myself.”
“This again?” Kazuma growled. “I'm tellin' ya! I don't love Kanami like that. Why don't you follow your own advice? You do know that Mimori is waiting for you back there.” He snorted, hoping the other would finally agree and just go away and leave the battles to him instead.
“I don't want to be with her. I'd…” Ryuhou cut himself off. He frowned weakly and turned his head to the side, finding the boulder beside him more of interest.
“What were you going to say?” Kazuma asked with curiosity.
Ryuhou blinked. “What? I wasn't going to say anything,” he lied. “You're just hallucinating, Kazuma.”
A grin broke across Kazuma's face. “Awe, come on Ryuhou! Tell me. I heard you say `I'd…'” He approached the green haired alter with a cat like stride and paused at his side. “It's about me isn't it? Come on! It's not like I haven't been shot down by your brutal words before.”
“You're such a fool!” Ryuhou pushed Kazuma away gently and walked pass him. “I don't have time to play with you.”
“Now I definitely know you're hiding something, otherwise you wouldn't be so hesitant.” Kazuma ran up behind Ryuhou and grabbed him by the shoulders, pulling him back against his chest before he got away. “Tell me!”
Ryuhou growled as he elbowed the younger alter in the stomach, earning him an interesting groan. He smirked after he felt the other release his shoulders, allowing him to walk away freely, until he felt two arms wrap around his waist, causing him to blush. “Kazu- what are you doing?”
“Tell me! I want to know, Ryuhou! You're being a coward for not telling me, you know that right?” Kazuma loosened his grip around Ryuhou's stomach, permitting the other to turn slightly and stare down at him dumbfounded. “Is that a hint of surprise?” Kazuma joked.
As soon as the older alter had shown it, it vanished. “Kazuma, you're acting childish! Release me this instant!” He abruptly pulled away from Kazuma's grasp, feeling a tinge of regret. He really wanted to remain in the other's hold, but in a different position, face to face. How long has it been? Fifteen years? He sighed irritably for not confronting his feelings for the other crimson haired alter sooner. He peered over his shoulder at Kazuma, who seemed to be sitting on his knees and staring at the ground with remorse, as if he was just slapped by his lover. He flinched mentally. “You idiot,” he mumbled.
Kazuma looked up at his rival with a small smile, expecting an explanation for the comment. “Ryuhou?” His eyes rested on Ryuhou's green hair that cascaded over his shoulders and flowed freely down to the middle of his back. `God, he's even beautiful from this position.' He stood up while dusting his knees off. After realizing that he wasn't going to get a reply; he tapped the other on the shoulder. “Hey, talk to me you bastard,” he mocked softly.
Ryuhou turned to face the younger alter, but unable to keep eye contact. “I should have told you sooner… I was afraid how you would react if I did though.” He forced himself to stare at Kazuma's marred face and released a shuddering breath. Before he could even get a word out, there was a loud explosion set off on the wall separating the two lands. “What was that?”
The crimson haired alter faced the same direction as Ryuhou. “It looks like someone is trying to escape from the city.” He winced when an earth shattering scream filled the air. “And it sounds like he needs help.” He immediately leapt off the cliff, heading in the direction of the explosion.
Ryuhou cursed under his breath as he followed pursuit.

A/N: Well? Was it good? Sort of good? ^^; Shouldn't even be asking that. The chapters will change from short to longer often. So don't be surprised if the next chapter is longer. XD
