Chapter Two: Shot off again

[A/Ns: Okay, I am going to make up a random little girl that Kanami meets to keep myself interested. Otherwise the plot of this story will fall like a boulder in water. And I checked over the previous chapter and realised I made a dreadful mistake. Kanami was 8 throughout the series and this story is 8 yrs after. SO Kanami isn't 14 she is 16. I'm such an idiot! This is a terrible mistake so I will repost the previous chapter with corrections. I am going to make an offer to a few people. Have you ever searched and searched for a couple Hentai or romance story that you think the couple you like is just better than either the “true couple” or anyone else? I have. I call it, searching for Kazuma/Kanami. I never found one. Guess what I did. I made one… actually, I am making one. So, if you're having a problem with finding one, ask me and post the anime series name. You will need to give me time to study the series and get to know the characters. I have, however, strict rules when it comes to this. The Anime has to be cute and anti-stupid. I can't stand ugly anime girls and can't stand boneheads. I do not tolerate YOAI or YURI. Get it. No gays or lesbians because I'm completely against the idea. Sure there is nothing wrong with them, but you won't catch me dead writing a gay fic. Probably because I won't be doing much except rotting. You cannot keep bugging me about it or I will just drop the whole idea. If I have never seen the anime series, the characters will no doubt be OOC. I will list the Anime I can do at the end of this chapter. Sorry for dragging this out so lets get on with it.]

 

Kanami awoke to Kazuma pulling out of her.

“Oh, no more?” Kanami asked, complaining a little.

“Nah, I gotta go.” Kazuma replied.

“You don't feel guilty or anything do you?” Kanami asked.

“No, of course not.” Kazuma replied.

“Good.” Kazuma got changed, as did Kanami. The two then went off to eat breakfast.

“Why do you have to go? Why can't you stay with me?” Kanami asked, nearly begging Kazuma not to go.

“Because, I need to protect these ground from the mainland's attacks. I can't let them take over.” Kazuma replied.

“Aaaahhhhhh…” Kanami moaned.

“I'm sorry, Kanami. If the mainlands would just quit then I could stay, but they are persistent.” Kazuma said. “I wish I could stay too, but I refuse to let the mainlanders take over.” Kazuma then stood to leave. Kanami stopped him.

“Then at least screw me once more before you go!” she ordered.

“Sorry, I haven't got time. They could attack any time.” Kazuma then walked past her and left. She went red in the face and yelled at him.

“YOU JERK!” Kazuma turned around to face her. He walked back over to her and kissed her.

“I'll come back real soon, okay?” he said.

“Fine, you'd better or my boss will break you in two.” Kanami joked.

“Oohh! I am so scared. Please hold back her fiery wrath!” Kazuma playfully begged. The two shared a friendly giggle and Kazuma pet Kanami on the head. “I'll return as soon as I can.” Kazuma then walked off.

“Bye, Kazu-kun!!!” Kanami yelled to him. He merely waved the back of his hand to her, not even looking back as he disappeared into the mist. Mist? Was that there before?

 

Kanami walked around the house, cleaning up before she packed her bag for work. She left closing the door. She looked over to Mimori's house and saw her passionately kissing Ryuho.

“I knew she'd get him like I got my Kazu-kun. But I bet he doesn't stay either.” Kanami walked over.

“I'm sorry, but the mainlanders must be defeated. I really have to go.” Ryuho said.

“Can't you stay just a little longer?” Mimori begged. Kanami started giggling as she arrived, the two took notice of her.

“So… you're love seen is exactly the same as mine. What did you two get up to on Ryuho's small visit?”

“We shared a romantic dinner and watched the stars. We didn't do anything rash.” Mimori said, not knowing Kanami meant sex.

“What? No bed bumping?” Kanami asked, rather surprised. Mimori was rather surprised herself.

“What do you mean? You mean you saw Kazuma and…”

“If you're thinking correctly, then I suppose I could tell you.” Kanami said. “So you shared a romantic dinner whilst me and Kazu-kun just jumped straight to the bed.” Kanami said, slightly blushing as she giggled.

“You had sex with him?” Mimori asked.

“Yes. And you didn't?”

“No.”

“Well, you won't get the chance for a long while then.”

“Why is that?”

“Because Ryu-kun is gone.” Kanami then walked off to work as Mimori looked back and forth for Ryuho.

 

Kanami walking into the workhouse, with all the ladies cooking and her boss getting ready to work on the farm. Kanami placed her bag on the floor and walked over to her boss.

“Hi. I'm ready to work now. What do you want me to do today?” Kanami asked. Her boss turned to her.

“Oh, hello Kanami. Hmm…” Her boss thought. “You look slightly perkier than usual. Did that loaf of a husband come back yet?”

“I already said he isn't my husband. And yes he did come back for a short while.”

“You really shouldn't be shy about your marriage to him. Even if he is an embarrassment.”

“Well, perhaps we might as well be married. I know he loves me.” Kanami said, blushing.

“So is he still home?”

“No, he took off just a while ago.”

“That useless bum. I swear when I get my hands on him, he'll wish he stayed with you.”

“Well, he was fun to be with. We did all sorts.”

“Like what?”

“Uh… well…” Kanami hesitated.

“You didn't… sleep with him… did you?” Her boss asked. Kanami blushed and kicked her feet.

“…Yeah…” She replied.

“Did you protect yourself?” Her boss said as she grabbed her shoulders.

“Uh, not really. It was kind of on the moment.” Kanami replied, not seeing what's so troubling.

“You didn't?!” Her boss questioned worriedly. “Kanami, what if you…” she hesitated. “Get pregnant?”

“Hmmm… I never thought of that…” Kanami said calmly. “Well, I'll just have to cross that bridge if I get to it. I'm not too worried, I don't expect to get pregnant. I would have thought his sperm would be a lazy a he is.” Kanami said to her, lying about the true Kazuma.

“You know as well as I do that Kazuma isn't as lazy as that. To think you might give birth to the baby shell bullet.” He boss joked.

“I don't think so.” Kanami walked off to work. She forgot she didn't get her assignment and turned around. “Ahhh…” She dragged. “What do you want me to do?” Kanami blushed.

“Just feed the chickens and change the hey for the horses and cows, once you've done that, come back to me and I'll think up another assignment for you.” Her boss said. So Kanami walked off.

 

`What if I do get pregnant? What will I do? I know I said I don't expect to get pregnant… but it felt like Kazuma released a lot. I have about two weeks before either the sperm dies out or implants an egg. I just hope my egg system is sleeping right now, I don't know the first thing about having children. I'd probably have a panic attack.' Kanami walked over to the chickens and looked at them, some coming out of the pens after laying their eggs and other going to lay, whilst one or two just remained walking around, pecking at the floor looking for the food which isn't actually there. Kanami walked over to the bags of food and search around for the open one. She took a while finding it, but she did after a while. It was fairly full, so she picked it up with one hand under the bottom and the other around it. She walked over to the hen house and placed the bag down, grabbing some of the food and throwing it in. She had this habit of feeding chickens of just getting a pile of seeds and having them eat from her hands. It was only the few times they ever missed and bit her. All she'd do is yelp and tug her hand back, giving the chickens a fright, giggling at them running around in a panic. `I guess it would be nice to have a baby. The feel of it moving around inside of my body and the thought of breast-feeding. It's so wonderful. Though, I still don't know anything about babies. I know, they are small and sometimes a huge hassle. But some say they are adorable and cute. I hope mine is as adorable as Kazu-kun… hold on. I'm thinking as if I am definitely pregnant. That's funny.' Kanami walked over to the farmhouse and looked at all the horses and cows.

“This'll… take a while.” Kanami said to herself.

 

Three hours later.

 

“All done!” Kanami said, proudly. She then walked out and headed for her boss, who was back in the house. She found her pretty shortly. “I've finished.” Kanami said.

“Kanami, in here please.” He boss said, rather seriously. Kanami had no choice and she followed.

“What is it? Did I do something wrong?” Kanami asked, worried about losing her job. He boss turned around and handed her a small rectangular box.

“Kanami. When you get home, use this. If nothing use it again tomorrow and keep doing it for the next two weeks.” Her boss told her. Kanami took it and looked at it.

“What is it?”

“It's a pregnancy tester.”

“A…”

“If it goes blue, your pregnant.” Kanami stared at it. “Anyway, your wages are where they usually are and you can go home.” Her boss said. Kanami sighed in relief. She bowed and left, slipping the tester in her pocket. She looked and saw her wages, she grabbed it and left. She walked through the towns for a while, looking around a bit. She got her shopping with her wages and went off home. She was nearly there when she heard screaming. She hastily turned around to see a four-year-old blond girl in nothing but a white dress running from some thugs with baseball bats knifes and nail-bats. Kanami watched, as the little girl got closer. The girl quickly ran behind Kanami and grabbed her shorts.

“Waaa!!! Don't let the mean men hurt me!” she cried. Kanami quickly picked up the girl and ran home. She had no idea why she was doing this. She arrived at her house, with the men not to far behind. She opened the door, ran in and slammed it shut followed by locking it. The men caught up and began banging on the door. Kanami knew her door was good, but it wasn't strong enough to hold for long. What was she going to do now? She put the cute girl down and waited. She soon heard.

“What do you think you're doing?” Kanami thought for a while, that sounded like Ryuho.

“None a your business. We do what we want.” Then a fight broke out, followed by the collapsing of the evil men. Kanami carefully opened the door. It was true, there was Ryuho. He looked at Kanami.

“Why did you come back?” Kanami asked, opening the door. Ryuho blushed.

“Uh, Mimori caught me and forced me to stay with her a bit longer. What happened?”

“Nothing, they were after this little girl and I just saved her.”

“More like you put yourself in danger.”

“Well, thanks for helping me.” Kanami said. Ryuho left and Kanami returned inside. The girl went and sat on the sofa. Kanami walked over to her and turned on her TV that she got. It wasn't great but it still worked. Kanami went into the kitchen and placed the shopping bag on the side and searched her pockets for the change. She noticed the pregnancy tester again and pulled it out. She opened it and read the instructions. She finished it quickly and set it aside, not bothering with it today. She then went on to do more of the housework.

 

The little girls name is Aura. She had no parents and so she lived with Kanami. It had been a week, and Kanami let her go to the farm with her. Kanami had plenty of bad mornings and skipped work a bit, even though she didn't want to. She eventually turned her attention to the test. She walked over to it and picked it up, remembering the instructions. She used it in the toilet and looked at it. Waiting for a while. She gasped and dropped it. It hit the floor and Kanami began to panic.

 

The tester was blue.

 

(Suspense!!! It was half term, no Internet no updating. I thank the reviewers and I guess I did make it too obvious what the present was. ^_^ Yes, little Kanami is pregnant. And to top it off, she has this little girl to look after. What will her life be like? Well, I am taking a break for a bit. So I'll update ASAP.)
