Alone in the dark, Trunks sat on his bed, head lowered, his purple bangs covering his face. He gripped a white cordless phone in one hand. A low growl escaped his throat, angrily tossing the phone across the room. He placed his face in the palms of his hands with a sigh. He was having suspicions, suspicions that his Serena was cheating on him.

He leaned back, flopping down on the bed. He covered himself with his tangled covers. `She always staying out late, the bites and hickeys on her neck…What's going on?,' he thought.

He sighed, running his fingers though his hair, then rested them on the back of his head. “I hope she's not cheating on me…I love her so much,”

Amara made her way home to vampire paradise. An underground layer where many vampires decided to stay, as others liked to live among the humans. She made her way inside, seeing vampires roaming about. She briskly passed by them, heading to her area of living.

Opening her door, she walked inside and headed to her room. She spotted Michelle holding her lover Mina in her lap. They were cuddling up, passionately kissing. Amara cleared her throat, gaining the attention of the two lovers.

Michelle turned to her cousin, wrapping her arms more tightly around her blonde haired girlfriend. Mina ignored the tall vampire, seeing that she was more interested in kissing along Michelle's jaw line.

“How was your meeting with Serena?,” asked the sea-green haired beauty.

Amara smirked, crossing her arms over her chest, leaning against the wall behind her. “It went well. She went on her first hunt,”

“Ah…must have been exciting, did she do well?,” asked Michelle, lightly kissing her lover's eager lips.

“Yes, very well. She actually did better then I did when I went on my first hunt. She's a fast learner,”

Mina turned to Amara, large blue eyes looking at her curiously. “When do I get to meet this Serena?,”

Amara shrugged her shoulders, “Don't know, when I feel like bringing her here I guess.”

“Oh,” she turned back to her girlfriend, ignoring Amara once again.

The short haired blonde pushed herself off the wall, and headed to her room. “I'm going to my room,”

“Mmhmm…,” was all Michelle could say, as Mina pushed down on the couch, hungrily claiming her lips with her own.

Amara closed her bedroom door behind her, sitting down on her large king size bed. She sighed heavily, pulling open a draw from a side table. She pulled out a picture frame, holding it tightly within her hands. It was a picture of a woman with long black curly hair and gorgeous hazel eyes.

She brushed her thumbs over the glass covering, “God Sara…I miss you so much,” she whispered hoarsely, her voice cracking. She laid back, holding the picture tightly against her chest. “I miss you so much….”

Soon after, she was consumed by sleep.

*Next Morning*

Serena groggily opened her eyes, rolling over onto her stomach. She turned to look at the clock on her side table, but remembered that she had killed it yesterday. Yawning loudly, she made her way out of the bed. Her feet patted across along the floor, exiting her bedroom.

She made her way to the den and looked at her phone. She saw that she had a few messages and she mumbled something under her breath. She knew who they were from and she knew that he was pissed because she didn't call him back. “Sorry Trunks,” she whispered.

She went into the kitchen and looked up at the clock and saw that it read 4:50pm. She took a seat at the kitchen table, rubbing her belly as it grumbled in hunger. “Mmm…I have to pick up Darien and them at 6...” She yawned once again, going back to her room.

When she entered, she saw a sports bottle on a side table. She cocked an eyebrow. `When did that get there?'

She felt a breeze and turned to the window to find that it was open. She walked over to the window, poking her head out, not seeing the main person she was searching for; Amara. She pulled her head back in, closing the window. “I mine as well get ready now…,”

When she was done grooming herself, she stepped out of the bathroom, clad in a black sleeveless shirt that revealed a portion of her belly, dark blue bell-bottom jeans that clung to her tightly, with a black leather belt that had a silver buckle. She as well wore some black boots. She looked into the mirror that hung on the wall over a work desk she had in her room. She noticed her sudden interest in dark colors and she struck a pose and gave a wink. She giggled, taking a hold of her sports bottle, hungrily guzzling down the warm blood.

She went back into the bathroom to brush her teeth and gargle. She stared into the mirror, watching as her fangs slowly turned back to their normal self. She walked out of the bathroom and looked to the corner, seeing the dead clock that suffered such a terrible fate. She walked over to it and picked it up, then moved to the kitchen, tossing it into the trash. “I have to get another one of those clocks,” she muttered to herself.

She looked up to the one that hung on the wall in the kitchen, and saw 5:15 pm. She grabbed her car keys and cell phone, then left her apartment.

When she stepped out, she saw the little girl she had seen in the elevator yesterday. The girl was leaning against the wall, a smile upon her face. Serena walked over to her, crouching down in front of the little vampire. “Hi, what's your name?”

The little girl grinned. “Hotaru,”

“That's a really pretty name. My name is Serena.”

“HOTARU!!” was heard from a man climbing down the stairs.

Hotaru looked at Serena. “I have to go now, bye.” she ran up the stairs. “Coming dad!”

Serena waved her goodbye, then stood up straight. “Cute kid.” She headed to the elevator and walked inside. She hit the button number “1” and waited for it to move. She heard the signal to leave, exiting the elevator and soon the building, heading to her car, swirling her car keys on one finger.

She unlocked her doors and climbed inside. She yawned once again, remembering what Amara had told her about what she needed. “I need to get some suntan lotion.” She took a hold of her glasses from the passenger seat and put them on. She checked her review mirror, then started off to the store. She went to Super Walmart and bought some suntan lotion as well as a new clock.

She entered the car once again and took some of the lotion and rubbed it on various parts of her body, mainly the visible parts. She then tossed the bottle into the back seat, driving off to the airport.

She reached over to the cup holders to grab her cell phone as it rang. She looked at the name of who was calling and saw that it was Trunks. She thought it over for a few moments and decided not to answer the call. She really wasn't in the mood to get into an argument over her whereabouts.

She pulled into the driveway of the airport. She parked her car, checked herself in the mirror, exited, then rushed inside the building. She came up to the screens that showed where all the planes were coming in and headed to the direction where her friends would be.

When she reached where she was suppose to be, she spotted the 3 people she was looking for and surprisingly, an extra addition as well. She snuck up behind Darien and threw her arms around him. “Hey Cuz!”

Darien stumbled forward, midnight blue eyes wide with surprise. A smirk formed on his lips, turning around to see his cousin. He wrapped his arms around her tightly. “Hey Sere, long time no see,”

She as well wrapped her arms around him. “I know!” She pulled back from him, looking him over. He stood about 6'2, black unruly hair, and dark midnight blue eyes. “You've gotten taller.”

Someone behind Serena cleared their throat, causing her to turn her attention towards the person. She saw her two best friends, Rei and Ami. Ami had short blue hair, light blue eyes, and wore glasses, and had a grin upon her face. Rei on the other hand, had raven black hair, pulled back into a high pony tail, and amethyst eyes glaring at her playfully. “I feel so unloved.”

Serena grinned, making her way to her friends, throwing her arms around the both of them, pulling them into a tight hug. “You know I love you!,” She squealed.

Rei grinned, wrapping her arms more tightly around her childhood friend. “I know.” The three women pulled away from each other, and Rei bent down, grabbing the baby basket that was on the floor beside her. She held it up to Serena. “I want you to meet someone.”

She blonde looked inside to see a very cute baby boy. He looked a lot like Darien, with his unruly black hair, though, he had Rei's amethyst eyes. He had pudgy little cheeks and he looked at Serena, with his chubby little hands reaching up to her. She reached down, and picked him up. “He's so cute!,”

“His name is Devon” said Rei. Darien came up behind his wife.

“How old is he?”

“7 months,” said Darien, making faces at his son. Serena looked over the baby one more time, then placed him back in his basket. She looked up to the married couple and Ami. “So, are you guys staying in a hotel?,”

Ami nodded. “Yes we are”

“You guys are coming to my place first, right?,”

“Of course we are! We just need to get our luggage first.”

The group of 5 went off to get the luggage, left the airport, and soon headed to Serena's car. The car ride was filled with laughter and memories from their childhood.

When they arrived at Serena's apartment, they quickly headed inside. They used the elevator to get up to the destined floor, then exited. As they entered the hall, they saw Trunks leaning against the wall, beside Serena's apartment door. He looked very angry…no…as a matter of fact; pissed. He saw his fiancé and deeply frowned. When he saw Darien, his frown deepened greatly.

“Where have you been?!,” demanded Trunks, making his way over to the blonde.

She sighed. “A lot of places.”

Trunks growled, not liking the answer he received. “Who is that?,”

Serena narrowed her eyes, not liking his attitude, especially in front of her friends. “This Darien, my cousin. His wife; Rei, their son Devon, and another one of my friends, Ami.”

Trunks face softened, hearing that Darien was family. Serena turned to the four behind her. “This is my fiancé, Trunks.”

The three adults smiled. “Hi, nice to meet you.”

Trunks nodded his head in reply, then turned back to his lover. “Why didn't you answer my calls? Why didn't you call me back?”

“Trunks…now is not the time. I have company so calm your damn nerves!” she said, giving him an icy glare.

She pushed passed him, opening her locked door. “Come on in guys.”

*********

Two females walked down the street, hands in their pockets. One of the females was very tall, black hair with green streaks, half of it was held in a tight bun, with bangs covering her forehead. She had ruby red all knowing eyes, and tanned skin. She wore a tight red t-shirt, with a low v-neck, showing a bit of cleavage. She had on tight black leather pants, with black leather boots. She as well wore a black leather jacket that was left un-buttoned.

The other female was tall as well, though a little shorter then her companion. She had chocolate brown hair that was held up in a high pony tail, with bangs. She had emerald green intense eyes and was as equally tanned as the other woman. She had on a mid-length black skirt, a dark purple strapless shirt the clung to her upper body tightly. She too, wore a black leather jacket, though, she had hers button up, and wore knee-high black leather boots.

The brunette turned to her companion. “Why are we here Setsuna?” she looked around, lips curling up in disgust, eyeing the civilians around her with a dirty look. “This place reeks of vampires”

Setsuna turned to her. “You know why we are here.”

“But…”

“Lita. We've come here for help.”

“But why the vampires? We can take care of ourselves…I know we can.” She looked up at Setsuna. “They're our enemy.”

“Yes, I know they're our enemy, but they are the strongest next to us. We can't fight this battle alone. We've lost too many of our kind to have any chances of victory. I don't want to do this either, but this is our only option.”

Lita took her hands from her pockets and crossed her arms over her chest. “I don't like this.” She growled angrily, causing some to look at her oddly. “I hate the hunters and I hate vampires.” she mumbled under her breath.

Setsuna sighed tiredly. “You're causing a scene Lita. Behave.” She looked down at her. “The quicker we do this, the better.”

Lita looked at her skeptically. “What makes you think they're going to help us?” She paused. “I mean…they hate us just as much as we hate them,”

Setsuna looked straight ahead, for once her all knowing eyes were not holding the answers she would of liked for them to hold. “I don't know if they will or not. Who knows what fate has in store for us. Hopefully fate is on our side.”

************

Amara sat in the darkness of her room, liking the silence and comfort it gave to her. She sat in a black lazy boy rocking chair, slowly rocking it back and forth. She drummed her fingers on the leather arm of the chair, staring at the white wall in front of her.

Her bedroom door slowly creaked opened, and her cousin Michelle slipped inside. Amara continued to rock in her chair. “You smell it don't you?” She said, more a statement then a question.

Michelle nodded, her face hidden by the darkness of the room. She came closer to the vampire. “Yes…werewolves are in our territory.”

Amara's eyes narrowed questioningly. “Why would they come here?”

Michelle shrugged, leaning against the wall. “I don't know, but they better not start shit.”

Amara smirked, finally turning towards her. “That could be fun though.”
