To moonguardian101: Sorry, Usagi (Serena) is not in this story because if you have read, Cynthia is discovered to be the “Sailor Moon” of the real world. She loves the Sailor Moon anime and it turns out that she is the Sailor Moon from it and Takahashi based her series off of experiences she witnessed. *actually not true, it is fiction, but this is how this fan fiction goes* As for Chibi-Usa (Rini), she may make an appearance in the later chapters, but I can’t make any promises. And yes, Ayame will, in fact, make an appearance in here! Sorry to offend any Usagi fans out there, that she’s not involved in this fic.

However, I am currently working on another fan fiction where she is in it! But as of this one, I can say that no OC can ever substitute for the greatness that is Usagi, but to risk OOCness to Usagi for liking Kouga and the fact that I didn’t want to break up the whole Mamoru (Darien) /Usagi coupling, I put Cynthia in here to make it more plausible. Hope this clears it up for ya!

Chapter 15

Enter the Sailor Senshi of Ice, Kagura’s Arrival, and Kikyo’s Entrance

******Cynthia’s POV******

It’s been a week and not I’m back in the Sengoku Jidai. My parents actually listened to Kagome’s Mom’s advice! Of course, since I’ve “ran away,” they said I wasn’t allowed to use the computer, phone, or watch TV, like a regular grounded teen in my time. After which, they gave this huge, several hour-long safety lecture. Then dad gave me “the talk” about boys and the like, over again. Needless to say, it was torture…but it was worth it. After all, I can still be with Kouga and fight Naraku. As you can expect, mom and dad disapprove of me dating a demon. But, of course, Sammy thinks it’s the absolute coolest thing in the world. He thinks of Kouga as Souta thinks of Inuyasha; their heroes.

My backpack is now as big as Kagome’s or bigger. We were walking to the next village where jewel shards were.

“The youkai is said to be a giant lizard youkai,” Miroku said to us. Kouga and Inuyasha nod, both eager to fight again. Shippo was right: both of them are idiots…

However, this time, Kagome was a little excited since she could try practice her new powers as Sailor Mars. I don’t know if Inuyasha was over that news yet. He hasn’t mentioned it. Mako-chan has gotten better, so she could travel with us again.

I was also carrying Luna as Sango did with Kirara. Lately the two felines had formed a good friendship. It seemed that the two females talked about many of their opinions on things. Sometimes Luna tells me about her conversations with Kirara. Kagome, Shippo, Sango, Mako-chan, and me find it cute.

“Keh! It’s about time we start finding shards again! We were wasting time, letting the wenches go off to do their ‘tests,’ Inuyasha huffed, crossing his arms in his haori. He earned glares from both Kagome and me.

“Don’t even start, Inuyasha,” Kagome warned. He only snorted and walked on. At that instant, Kouga, Kirara, and the inu-hanyou all stop and start to growl at the same time.

“Kouga,” I ask,” What’s wrong?”

“Blood,” was all he said, still growling.

“That youkai must have been around here,” Sango implied, gripping hold of her Hiraikotsu. Kirara transformed into her bigger form.

“Well, shall we transform,” I suggested.

Both Sailor Senshi nodded at me, got out their transforming pens, and said,” Right!” We all ran behind a tree, with Sango following behind to change into her taijiya outfit.

“MARS POWER, MAKE-UP,” Kagome shouted.

“JUPITER POWER, MAKE-UP,” Makoto yelled.

“MOON CRYSTAL POWER, MAKE-UP,” I shouted, holding up my brooch. All of us took a few minutes to finally transform into our sailor outfits. We all caught up to the rest of the group, who were running fast ahead of us, heading towards the source of the scent of blood.

Sango hopped onto Kirara with Miroku and Shippo. Me and the rest of the Senshi jumped along. I guess we all were more agile, becoming Sailor Senshi because we all weren’t technically human.

We all heard a woman’s screams. She was running towards us, with the giant lizard on her heels. “Help please,” she shouted in our direction.

“FIRE SOUL,” Sailor Mars shouted, attacking from the fire coming from her fingers. It caught the youkai by surprise and burned the top of its body. He turned to glare at us. The youkai was dark green and adorned spikes on the top of his head. His body was that of a lizard. He was truly huge, being twice the size of Kirara. Luna and Shippo took the girl to safety.

“Who dares interfere in my affairs,” he demands, his tongue sticking out at every few words like a true lizard would.

“You shouldn’t harm innocent humans. I am the Sailor Senshi of lightning, Sailor Jupiter,” Sailor Jupiter shouts.

“We are here to make sure the justice is served. I am the Sailor Senshi of fire, Sailor Mars,” Mars exclaimed.

“I am Sailor Moon. We will right wrongs and triumph over evil,” I yelled.

“And that means you,” we all shout at the same time, pointing at him. Kouga and the rest of them looked at us in confusion.

The lizard demon looked annoyed and charged at us, shouting,” Hand over the Shikon Jewel shards!”

Before we have a chance to retaliate, Inuyasha already jumps in, raising Tetsusaiga over his head and slamming it into the ground, shouting,” KAZE NO KIZU! You’re not getting the jewel shards, you bastard!” The attack surrounds the youkai in a flourish of the familiar yellow flash. To everyone’s surprise, as the smoke cleared, the lizard still stood there in all its glory.

“And that was supposed to hurt me,” he taunted. Inuyasha growled out of frustration.

“Way to go, Inukkoro,” Kouga yelled.

“I don’t see you doing anything, wimpy wolf,” Inuyasha shouted back. The rest of us sighed.

“Watch and learn mutt,” Kouga shouted, running up to the demon, using the power of the jewel shards to kick the lizard upside his head. This only served in making the youkai angry.

“You were saying,” Inuyasha retorted back. Kouga only glared back at his rival.

Sango hopped on Kirara and the two took to the air. “HIRAIKOTSU,” Sango yelled as she threw her boomerang bone. It only succeeded in bouncing off the youkai’s skin and leaving a few scratches. The taijiya reached up in the air and caught her weapon.

Miroku shouted out,” OFUDAS,” while throwing sacred sutras on the demon. It did not seem to faze the youkai.

“You annoying pests,” he shouted at us, opening his mouth and unleashing poison mist. Sango put on her poison mask and Miroku used his monk’s robe to shield his face.

“Dammit,” Inuyasha shouted.

“SUPREME THUNDER,” Sailor Jupiter shouted, trying to attack the lizard youkai with her lighting. The lightning left a noticeable path of destruction in the dirt. It took a direct his in the side of the youkai. All of us senshi jumped out of the path of the mist, with the rest following behind us.

“You bitch,” the lizard seethed, whipping out its claws to attack her.

I quickly pulled off my tiara and shouted,” MOON TIARA STARDUST!” The group watched in awe as the light from the tiara hit the youkai on the head, making him yell out in pain.

“Thanks Sailor Moon,” Jupiter said thankfully. I nodded back at her. Before I could react, the lizard’s tail whipped out from beside me and knocked me in the air, a few feet away from them.

“SAILOR MOON,” Kouga yelled, running fast to my aid. I held out my hand out of protest and got up shakily on my feet. He stopped where he stood, nodded, and turned back to charge at the demon. “YOU BASTARD,” he shouted in fury. He jumped up and kicked him hardly in the underbelly, making the demon double over in agony.

“I’ve had enough of this shit! Kagome where’s the shard,” Inuyasha demanded, stupidly yelling out Sailor Mars’ alias. Sailor Mars turned to glare at him for his stupidity, but at the same time shouting out,” It’s in his tail!”

“Keh! Got it,” he shouted back, not even acknowledging the bad looks Kagome had given him.

“Idiot,” Kouga muttered under his breath, standing beside me once again.

“KAZE NO KIZU,” he shouted again, directing his blast towards the tail again.

I followed up the attack, using my cutie moon rod, screaming out,” MOON PRINCESS HALATION!” Both attacks were too much for the beast, turning it into dust and blowing away by the wind. Inuyasha sheathed Tetsusaiga. Sailor Mars ran up to the jewel shard and purified it easily. She held up to everyone and put it in the container on her neck, containing the other slivers.

Luna, Shippo, and the girl ran up to us, all shouting out praises. “Thank you very much for saving my life,” the girl said, kindly.

Inuyasha only responded by rolling his eyes, but the rest of us smiled at her kindly.

“Is everyone ok,” I asked.

“Yea,” everyone answered back.

“So, what’s your name,” Sailor Mars asked the girl.

“Um…it’s Mizuno, Ami,” she stuttered out. Here we go again…

My eyes opened open in shock. “Ami,” I murmured. I took a moment to let it sink in. She had the exact same looks as the Ami in Sailor Moon, the anime! She was Sailor Mercury!

“Is that so,” I exclaimed in happiness that made everyone look at me funny.

“Are you ok,” Kouga asked.

“Perfectly,” I grinned.

“Would you find interest in staying in my hut for the night? I must do something in return for your kindness to me,” Ami said shyly.

“Uh, well…” Jupiter trailed off.

“We’d love to,” I shouted immediately.

“We would,” Kouga and Inuyasha asked incredulously.

“I would have to concur with Sailor Moon. It is the least the woman can do for us,” Miroku said, with a lecherous grin in place.

Sango, catching on to Miroku, glared at him and held up Hiraikotsu as a threat. “Don’t even think about it, monk,” she seethed out. He let out a nervous laugh, trying to shake off her threat. The rest of us sighed.

“Keh! I think it’s a waste of time. We still have plenty of daylight to go search for more shards,” Inuyasha grumbled, crossing his arms in his haori.

“Don’t think you’re getting off that easily,” Mars growled out. He only raised his eyebrow at her. The fool didn’t even know what he did wrong. He gave a new meaning to the word ‘idiot.’

“Inuyasha, if I may, Sailor Mars is mad at you because you said her name. Her secret alias,” Luna explained.

“And that means,” he asked.

“You idiot! She means that if enemies knew about our identities, they would surely use it to their advantage,” Jupiter yelled. He only replied by turning his back to us and mumbling.

“Then it’s settled. We’ll accept your offer, Ami-san,” I say cheerfully. Me and the rest of the girls went to change back into our normal state.

Once we were human again, me and the other senshi went back with the others. We made our way towards Ami’s hut.

“What is with all the medicinal herbs,” Miroku asked in interest, after we all sat down. The hut was fairly big in size, able to hold everyone in with some room left over.

“I hope to become a doctor,” Ami replied, blushing under his gaze. She was very shy indeed.

“I’m going to get some firewood,” Inuyasha muttered and walked out in evident anger and frustration.

“What’s with him,” Shippo wondered.

“Hell if I cared,” Kouga responded. I throw a glare his way, but he only raised his eyebrow at me.

“He seemed really upset about something,” Sango stated.

“I’ll go talk to him,” Kagome said, walking out of the hut, following the hanyou’s trail.

“I wonder why he’s upset. Could it be because of Kagome becoming Sailor Mars? He’s probably confused that Kagome is no longer known to be the reincarnation of Kikyo,” I said, in thought.

“That brings up a good point,” Miroku replied in seriousness.

“Kikyo’s that dead woman right,” Kouga asked. Everyone nodded. We all sat there in silence, hopping that Kagome and Inuyasha would be ok.

******Kagome’s POV******

I ran into the forest, following the trail of fallen trees. I guess Inuyasha was more upset then we all thought.

“Inuyasha,” I called out. I passed by the last seen fallen tree and found him brooding in the branch of a high oak.

“What do you want,” he grumbled, his eyes glaring down at me.

“What’s bothering you? Lately, you’ve been distant from me,” I stated.

“Keh! Nothing’s bothering me wench,” he said, turning his back to me.

“Oh really? So why is most of this forest destroyed then? Does it have anything to do with me becoming Sailor Mars?”

I heard his deep sigh. “You can tell me anything Inuyasha. You know that,” I say with hurt in my voice. I thought he trusted me to tell me anything.

“I’m just so damn confused,” he confessed. “I mean I always thought you to be Kikyo’s reincarnation. But now you’re the reincarnation of a person that’s not even human.”

I looked crestfallen. “So you like me less now,” I asked, afraid of the answer. “Did me being Kikyo’s reincarnation have anything to do with our friendship?”

“Don’t be stupid,” he shouted. “You know that I never thought you to be Kikyo.” He jumped off of the branch and landed in front of me, making me blush out of the surprising movement.

“But you just said-” I was cut off by his arms encircling me and crushing me against his chest.

“It just worries me that you’ll become a different person,” he said, his tone softening. My eyes opened in shock. He just confessed that to me and it made me feel badly.

I slowly pulled a little bit out of embrace. “Just because I’m known as someone different doesn’t mean that I’d change my personality. I am and always will be Kagome. I promise you that,” I replied. I looked in his eyes and saw rare concerned eyes peer down into mine.

“You better not change,” he muttered back, causing me to smile. All of a sudden, he tensed up and sniffed the air.

“What is it,” I asked.

“Blood. Not just anyone’s blood, its Cynthia’s. I also smell Naraku,” he growled.

“Oh no,” I gasped.

“Get on my back,” he gestured. I nodded and complied. We set off to see what was going on.

******No One’s POV******

A little time after Kagome and Inuyasha left, Kagura showed up. Kouga caught her scent early on and warned them by growling .

“That bitch, Kagura is here,” Kouga snarled out, getting up from his sitting position.

“Who’s Kagura,” Makoto and Cynthia asked at the same time.

“Kagura is Naraku’s incarnation,” Sango explained to them. Cynthia and Makoto took that time to transform into Sailor senshi.

Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter run outside the hut, following the rest of them, after telling Luna, Shippo, and Ami not to go out the hut.

“Nice of you to come to me so I won’t have to hunt you down and kill you,” Kouga growled.

“Oh, Kouga, you travel with Inuyasha’s group now? How interesting. And these must be the infamous Sailor Senshi, Naraku keeps complaining about,” she smirked, pointing her fan at the defenders of justice.

“Why are you here,” Sailor Moon demanded.

“To get the Silver Crystal of course. Is it not obvious,” Kagura stated, sarcastically.

“I’d like to see you try,” Kouga shouted, charging at her with the power of the Shikon shards.

“Annoying wolf,” she shouted, flicking her fan and creating wind blades. He effectively dodged the attacks with ease.

“I guess you forgot that that attack is too slow for me,” Kouga called out, smirking his infamous smug expression. Kagura only narrowed her eyes in irritation and anger.

However, she turned her angered expression into that of a smirk,” Let me guess. You are mates with this bitch, Sailor Moon?”

“What’s it to you,” the wolf growled out, standing in front of Sailor Moon in defense.

“This just makes my day,” she responded, her smirk almost growing into that of a full smile. She put her fan to her chin in thought. “I thought you were interested in that miko, Kagome?”

“That was the past,” Kouga answered, narrowing his eyes dangerously at her.

“Oh, why the sudden change of heart? Is it because Sailor Moon possessed the Silver Crystal? Are you using her as you used that other stupid human?”

Sailor Jupiter, Miroku, and Sango watched in shock as Sailor Moon had her fists clenched in evident fury. Her head was lowered, her bangs covering her eyes. Her body was racked with shivers of anger. “S…stop it,” she barely said above a whisper.

“Oh, what was that, little princess,” Kagura taunted.

“I SAID STOP IT,” Sailor Moon shouted, her blue eyes now glaring up at the wind sorceress.

“Sailor Moon,” Kouga whispered in shock. He never saw her this mad before.

Kagura only raised an eyebrow. “Why, is it because I said something you’re afraid of knowing yourself?”

“Have you come here to ridicule me or have you come to fight,” Sailor Moon, demanded, her nails digging into the pads of her hands. Her sudden rise of power made her hair flutter through the wind that was gathering around her.

“My, my, what temper. It seemed that I’ve had enough fun for now. I think I’ll take that crystal into my possession right about now.”

“You’ll have to wait until I’m dead in order to take it,” Sailor Moon shouted.

“Don’t worry. That was my intent,” Kagura yelled as she jumped into the air and flicked forward her fan, shouting,” FUUJIN NO MAI!”

Sailor Moon used her Senshi skills to dodge the attack, her anger giving her strength. How dare that incarnation question their love for each other?!

“Do you think it is wise to let Sailor Moon take on Kagura on her own,” Miroku asked to no one in particular.

“What can we do? It’s not like she’ll listen to reason at the moment,” Sango sighed. Kouga was too shocked to do much of anything. The battle started out so suddenly.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?! You’re gonna get killed,” the wolf shouted at his mate, after a moment’s realization.

“Boy, is he slow,” Sailor Jupiter muttered.

“Shouldn’t we help,” Sango asked desperately.

“Perhaps we wait until the time is right. She doesn’t seem willing to have any outside help at the moment,” Miroku responded, in equal worry and thought.

“MOON TIARA ACTION,” Sailor Moon shouted, throwing her tiara from her head, towards Kagura. The wind witch merely used her fan to control the wind around her, the breezes blowing away the tiara, headed towards Sailor Moon. It knocked the magical girl a few feet back, her now, bruised body, getting up slowly from the fall.

“I am disappointed. I thought that you were supposed to legendary,” Kagura laughed.

Sailor Moon was breathing heavily, the sweat running down her face. “I don’t care what you think of me! I only care about protecting my friends!” She pulled out her cutie moon rod, poised to attack.

“Dammit! I don’t care about your own fight! I’m going to kill Kagura. You stay out of this,” Kouga shouted angrily at Sailor Moon.

She threw a glare at him, but her stubbornly didn’t back down. Before she could protest any further, the distraction from the wolf, gave Kagura enough time to unleash a surprise attack with her wind blades. “WATCH OUT SAILOR MOON,” Kouga shouted, running rapidly towards her. But it was too late, the blades cut through her sides and outfit, tearing it to shreds. Blood shed everywhere, crimson staining her sides. Ribbons of clothing only covering what was necessary. The girl still stood on her feet, her knees wobbling out of weakness. Miroku, Jupiter, and Sango took this as their cue to go in.

Before they could interfere, a huge hoard of youkai appeared from above the forest.

“SUPREME THUNDER,” Jupiter yelled, trying to strike the demons down. More only came in their place. She decided to attack the youkai from the ground.

“Where did they come from? I never sensed them,” Miroku said in shock. Kirara growled more in her larger form and leaned down so they could climb on him.

“I don’t know, but we have to get rid of them so they interfere with Sailor Moon’s fight. These are most likely from Naraku,” Sango responded, gripping onto her Hiraikotsu tightly. Both climbed onto Kirara and took to the air to attack the youkai above them. “HIRAIKOTSU,” she shouted, throwing her boomerang, destroying many in their path. Kirara took out some with her claws and fangs. Miroku used his staff and sacred sutras. He knew not to use his Kazaana, for fear of Saimyoushou.

Meanwhile, on the ground: ‘For once, I‘m glad of that bastard, Naraku‘s interference,’ Kagura thought sourly. “Seems like Sailor Moon has last her early adrenaline,” the wind witch remarked. “Too bad I’ll have to cut your life short,” she shouted, letting loose more wind blades. But before they could her, Inuyasha jumped out in front of her, with his Tetsusaiga blocking off the blades.

“Keh! What the hell are you doing here wench,” Inuyasha growled, after letting Kagome down. He pointed his blade at her, it pulsing with life. Her face showed obvious shock. She didn’t expect the hanyou to be there!

“Sailor Moon,” Kouga yelled, running over to his, now fallen mate. By then, she was falling even more weak by the second.

By then, Sailor Mars was back in action, firing arrows and using her flame attacks to kill off many of the many demons in the air, helping out alongside Jupiter.

Sailor Moon coughed up a little blood. The crimson staining her lips. “You baka,” Kouga raged with worry. “I told you not to fight her alone!” He carried her to the hut, laying her inside with much speed, so he could take revenge on Kagura.

“KAZE NO KIZU,” was the next shout the wolf heard as the hanyou sent out his usual attack without thinking. Her wind, again, proved it useless.

“Oi, mutt, she’s mine to kill,” Kouga growled out, beyond pissed. Inuyasha looked at his rival with a glare, stubbornly trying to defend his friend, Sailor Moon’s honor, and defend the Silver Crystal, but knew it was not his place. He growled, but got out of the way, deciding to slay the many youkai, using his wind scar.

Inside the Hut

Ami tried her hardest to work diligently on Sailor Moon. Although she didn’t know the woman, she felt that she owned the girl her life.

“Why is the princess so reckless,” Luna demanded to herself.

“I hope Sailor Moon will be ok,” Shippo said with worry. Luna looked worried too.

“I’m sure she will be,” Luna replied, trying to comfort her and the kitsune.

“I wish I could teach that demon a thing or two,” Ami growled in anger of what Kagura did to the poor injured woman. Before everyone’s eyes, her forehead lit up into a bright blue. The mark of Mercury appeared on her brow, making Luna’s eyes pop out of her head. How could she not sense the girl’s powers?!

“No wonder Cynthia was so anxious to stay with Ami! Ami Mizuno, you are Sailor Mercury,” Luna shouted to the girl. The shy girl, now looked at cat in surprise. Earlier when she heard the creature talk, she thought she was only imagining things, but it was so. Luna then proceeded to hand the woman a blue transforming pen. “Shout Mercury Power, Make-Up!” The girl nodded and did as the cat told her to.

“MERCURY POWER, MAKE-UP,” Ami yelled, holding out up transforming stick. Within the minute, the Sailor Senshi of Water and Ice: Sailor Mercury was born! She looked at the cat in determination. “What do I do now?”

“Shout out Shabon Spray and the rest shall come to you,” Luna explained.

“Right. Thank you for this,” she thanked the cat. Luna only nodded in response as the girl ran out of the hut.

Outside of the hut, Kagura was still fighting Kouga.

All of a sudden, mist covered the area. Everyone looked around and stopped the fighting. By now, most of the demons were blown into dust or purified.

“What the hell,” Inuyasha shouted in confusion.

Kagura tried to blow away the mist, but to no avail. Out of nowhere, a voice was heard. “How dare you try to hurt my friends?! You shall pay for your wrong doings!” Then as the mist finally cleared, the new senshi emerged from the shadows and surprised them all.

“Who the hell are you,” Kagura demanded. The rest of them were thinking the same question as well.

With confidence she never felt before, the new senshi shouted,” I am the Sailor Senshi of Water and Ice: Sailor Mercury!”

“Oh great, more of them,” Inuyasha muttered under his breath.

“Oh boy, more fun,” Kagura sighed, since she was beginning to tire.

“SHABON SPRAY,” Mercury shouted, moving her arms to create more of the cold mist. But, this time it was directed at Kagura, blinding the demon’s sight.

Before anyone could react, they heard a weak voice shout out,” MOON PRINCESS HALATION!” The light from the scepter followed soon after. After Mercury’s attack cleared away, Kagura was found to be blown away a few feet, a hole protruding through her chest. Everyone turned to see where the attack came from. They looked in awe as they saw Sailor Moon’s frail body limping, barely able to stand, but she managed to get up and give her final attack.

Kagura was still not dead unfortunately and while the group was staring at Sailor Moon, she took her escape, quickly escaping by her giant feather by the wind. The remaining demons stopped going after them as well. Kouga turned back to look at the spot where Kagura used to lay and growled .

“Damn, that bitch escaped! I swear that the next time we meet, she’ll be dead,” Kouga vowed, a slight red tint in his blue eyes.

Then the wolf turned his attention to Sailor Moon, but by then she used so much energy, her remaining sailor outfit, were in ribbons. He caught her as she collapsed from lack of energy. “Cynthia!”

Kouga carried her inside and everyone surrounded her in worry. Sailor Mars and Inuyasha remained outside to fetch some herbs.

Before they could react, though, an arrow sailed through the air and landed into the tree, inches away from Mars. Neither didn’t have to take a second guess to know who it was. The purifying arrow was proof enough.

Inuyasha turned to the undead miko’s stoic, cold form and whispered her name in shock,” Kikyo.” Standing before them, was the former living miko, holding her bow and glaring at her reincarnation.

“What have you done to my soul,” Kikyo’s cold voice demanded, making Sailor Mars buckle in fear.
