A/N: I will be using the English version of the Sailor Scouts, mainly because I don't know their correct names, nor their full names in English for that matter. I may end up mixing the two simply because I don't know the other. Also if I make some mistakes lemme know k? Like I said its been a while with some of these. I’ll be sure to do more research in the future.
The Chronicles, Volume I: The Sailor Scouts: Pluto Falls
Setsuna peers into the Time Gates ((?) Gates of Time? I cannot remember...). She scans the present for any problems that may interfere with the formation of Crystal Tokyo in the future. Seeing nothing, she decides to take a short break, to get something to eat. Taking a few extra minutes to be certain that nothing would happen in the near future, she didn't notice, nor sense, the dark gate appearing behind her. A tall man wrapped in a midnight blue cloak steps out, the tip of a curved blade showing from beneath the cloak. His hood obscures his face, but a malicious grin could easily be made out as he steps soundlessly up behind Setsuna. Her senses suddenly scream danger and she ducks, then rolls to the left, her Time Key out and speeding up her transformation to near instantaneous. The man stands in position just behind where she had stood, his fist out, ready to make contact with her skull. Only her quick reflexes saved her. "Who are you?! How did you get in here?! " She called out, settled into a battle stance.
The man lowered a gloved hand and turned to face her, his face still obscured in shadow. He lets out a low chuckle. "So...you wish to fight? All the better. I dislike easy prey." His deep voice rumbled out of the hood. "As for my name, you need not know. Such lowly scum like you are not permitted to know my identity. I am here for you...that is all you need to know." That said, he flew at her, catching her off guard. She barely managed to get her staff up in a defensive position before the man's steel grey sword clanged against her staff. The shock of the impact caused her arms to tingle as she was pushed back several yards. 'God he's strong! Damn I don't think I can fight him off with simple hand to hand combat. And who the hell does he think he is calling me scum?! That arrogant bastard!' She twirled her staff and charged him, hoping to unbalance him long enough for her to charge her attack. The man stood there, silent as she charged, his sword raised and ready. Sparks flew as the weapons clashed. Setsuna tried to slip her staff under his guard and throw his weapon, but he blocked it with his hand. 'One hand? That means...he's holding me off with just one hand? Dammit who is this guy? Why didn't I see this in the Time Gates?' She releases a frustrated growl as she jumps back to gain some distance to charge her attack. The man continues to stand there waiting and watching. 'His eyes...I can see them...their mocking me.. This'll teach him to mock me with that sneer of his, with his eyes. He'll learn not to mess with Sailor Pluto (right?).' With a barely concealed smile she shouts "Dead Scream! Eat that you condescending bastard!" She watches as her attack flies toward him. Even if he dodged the attack, she had another ready to fire at him as soon as he choose a direction to flee in.
Already sure of her victory, the man's next action stuns her slightly. Instead of trying to dodge, he stands there, his sword raised over head. He shouts "Air Blade!" and brings his sword down in a vertical chop, a blade of distorted air flying to meet Sailor Pluto's attack. To her horror and his amusement, then agitation, his attack clashes with hers and slows it greatly, nearly stopping it. He swears softly and raises his sword again calling out, "Hundred Strikes!" His blade flashes into action, jabbing and thrusting in the direction of Sailor Pluto's attack. The air pressure alone was stopping the attack. Seeing this, Pluto is shaken out of her shock and abandons her second attack, instead trying to pour more power into the first. It was too late for her desperate attempt, she would have been better off sending her second attack into the first to over power him. With the last ten strikes he broke through the Dead Scream, disipitating it. The attacks continued in her direction, cutting into her uniform and skin. She stumbles slightly from the attack, wincing in pain. In seconds he crossed the distance that separated them. Striking with his sword, he disarms her and sends her flying back, more cuts sprouting upon her skin. Sailor Pluto falls back, her guard up but irrelevant.
The man stands over the cut and bleeding Sailor Scout, sneering at her. "Your lucky, bitch. I'm not at one hundred percent. If I was, my first attack would have finished off you and your attack.." She glares at him, silently calling on her weapon. The staff slides soundlessly over the floor, then flies into the air, barely missing the man's head as he dodges to the left. In an instant, Pluto is on her feet and dashing off, hoping to gather enough energy to teleport through the Time Gate to warn her fellow Scouts. As she approaches the Gate, certain that she would make it in time, she is astounded to see the man appear in front of her. She hadn't even noticed his movement, yet here he was. Unable to stop her headlong rush, or change direction, she prepared to barrel right through him. She continued to charge at him, adding desperate speed to her run. The man draws a circle around him on the ground with his sword, a flickering, transparent, light blue barrier springing into existence seconds before she crashed into it. Pluto screams as the barrier sends volts of electricity coursing through her, the smell of burnt skin, hair, and clothing filling the void. The barrier falls and she collapses to the ground twitching slightly, her green hair frizzled. With a wicked grin, the man walks forward and swirls his suddenly impossibly large cloak around her, both of them disappearing with small pop. Had Pluto been able to glance at the Time Gate behind the man, she would have noticed that Crystal Tokyo was no more, the near future showing various Sailor Scouts falling to the cloaked man.
In another dimension, on earth, Rei was meditating in front of the Sacred Fire when she received a vision of a cloaked man, malicious intent oozing off of him, and a bound and shackled Sailor Pluto covered in cuts, bruises, and small burn marks, behind him. Suddenly the man turned, as if to face her and his piercing steel blue eyes seemed to bore into her, even though she wasn't there. She awoke from the vision with a start, flushed and sweaty. Her chest heaved as she took deep gulping breaths. 'Wh...who was that? And why was Setsuna shackled behind him? As one of the Outers, she's one of the strongest of us...That couldn't have happened...She would have seen it coming and warned us...we would have saved her....right? Is it possible that we haven't defeated all the members of the Negaverse after all? I think I'll call everyone over to talk to them. This could be trouble...' Rei had no clue how right she was...
