Chapter 6
Abby woke in darkness. She wanted to go home more then anything in the world. She felt so depressed.
Abby got up, put on a coat, and walked outside the house. She just gazed up at the stars.
"They're beautiful, arn't they?" someone asked her from behind. Startled, she quickly turned to see a young man about sixteen, one year older then her.
:I didn't mean to startle you, are you alright?" the young man asked. Abby could feel herself blushing. He was so handsome! Deep brown eyes you could gaze into all day, black hair that surruonded his face, and his face? It was that of an angel, but there was something in his eyes, a quality that made her want to melt on the sopt, and fear him all at once.
"Do you understand what I'm saying?" he asked. Abby suddenly got her wits back and answered.
"YES! I'm sorry, I was... Ummm..." he inwardly smirked. Could he do this to her? She looked like an angel, a rose in bloom. Why did he feel this way? He hadn't even learned her name yet. But her blond hair framed her face, her lips were the color of magenta, and her eyes were a wonderful shade of hazel green. She seemed to glow as he looked at her, he could see stars in her eyes that shone brighter then any in the sky. She must've been an angel, yet she was standing right in front of him.
"I'm Jake" he introduced himself.
"I-I'm Abby." Abby knew she was blushing. But he was so handsome. And he spoke in a deep, yet gentle voice.
Jake stared at her. Their eyes met, they just stared at eachother for what seemed to be hours. It was like silent poetry. After a few minutes Jake broke the gaze and turned back to the stars.
"So, I haven't seen you around here before." he said, trying to make a conversation.
"I'm only visiting a friend."
"Really?"
"Well, more or less."
Jake truned back to Abby, purposly catching her gaze. He had just met her and he felt like he knew her his whole life. He never felt this way about anything, least of all anyone. HOW COULD SHE MAKE HIM FEEL LIKE THIS!!??!?!?! She was just gazing at him! She didn't expect anything from him, NOTHING!!! She just smiled. It felt strange to him. Strange, but good.
Abby just stared at him. He seemed so wonderful.
"So do you like to star gaze often?" she wanted to get to know him.
"Yes, I love to star gaze. It's peaceful, quiet, and no one expects anything from you."
The wind blew lightly. Abby was waring a very light coat, so she shivered a little. Jake saw this and gave her his coat to keep warm. Abby was breathless when he offered. He was sweet, handsome,, and probably taken. But his eyes suggested a different story, sad almost, yet, there was something there... She didn't know, but it amde him all the more beautiful.
A few hours later Abby went back to bed feeling much happier... "Jake" she thought "Your wonderful..." And with those thoughts she fell asleep.
