Abby and Karen's Weird Adventure
By Ashley Kye Davis
Chapter 7- Mall, Romance, and Regret
Abby woke up happily and looked around the room. She glaced out the window and smiled. She wanted to see Jake again! But, she hadn't asked him if she could see him again, he didn't even ask for her number. Abby suddenly felt a little sad.
She got up and ran downstairs. She sat next to Karen at the kitchen table, what with Karen being the only one she could say she really knew, she thought that was the best idea.
They were planning on showing Abby Tokyo today, and deep down Abby had a hope beyond hope that somehow, by some strange chance, she would see Jake again today.

J ake smiled at his mother, their plan was going perfectly so far. Mistress thought this would work, after all, with someone as stupid as Abby, Abby couldn't possibly tell that Jake was faking it all.
Jake sat in a chair watching TV as his mother comtemplated the next action of their plan. He thought about he was going to do to this girl. A sly grin crossed his face as he thought about it. But then there was a side of him that regretted what he was going to have to do, when he met her something inside him just let go, like a part of him that he never knew was there before. Something, it almost felt like love. But he didn't fall in love, he didn't believe in such things. Was he in love? Even if he did believe in love, he didn't believe in love at first sight, no one should!
He sighed as he suddenly felt incredibly depressed.
He looked at the clock, it was time.

Abby roamed the mall alone, looking at strange trinkets in shops here and there. She mind, however, continued to wish that she would run into Jake. SHE was head over heels for him, and she knew she had it bad. Her mind keep wondering what it was about him that made him so mysterious, BESIDES the fact she didn't really know who he was.
She turned a corner, not really paying attention to anything but her own thoughts. That's when she accidently bumped into someone, or should I say, they accidently bumped into her.
"OH!! I'M SORRY! I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION!" Abby said quickly, getting up off the floor. A hand reached down to help her up, and she took it greatfully, still not having noticed who she had bumped into. Finally she looked into the eyes of the one who she had run into.
"It's my fault, really!" Jake said with a smirk. Even if he didn't love her, she was beautiful, and she glowed like an angel everytime she smiled.
Realizing what he was thinking, he metally kicked himself.
Abby could feel herself turning red with embaressment. She saw the smirk and his face, and her face went completely a shade of pink and red.
"So," Jake said, slightly uncorfortable with the way this had started. "You come here often?"
Abby felt slightly better once a conversation started, aside from trying NOT to stutter.
"Actually no, remember I told you that I'm just visiting a friend?" she said to him, uncertain if he would remember something like that, or even her name.
"Oh yeah, I'm sorry Abby, I forgot for a minute there." he said, knowing quite well that she was going to turn red again from his remembering her name, and she did.
So they wondered around the mall for a while, the entrie time Abby was inwardly drooling over Jake, and Jake slowly falling for Abby in the best sense.
Then they ran into Karen, who was suprised to see Abby with a guy.
"Hello" Karen said suprised to Jake.
"Hi" he said in return greeting.
"We were just wondering around the mall, we'll be off and let you guys do whatever!" Abby said quickly, not wanting to deal with her stepsister's critisism at the moment with she was with Jake. She was sixteen and in love, and she wanted whatever time she spent with Jake to be special considering the fact that she never knew when she would be able to go home.
"Why did you just say that and we ran away from that girl?" Jake asked her.
"Well, it's just that, I-" Abby didn't know what to say to him. "I just want to spend time with you, and my stepsister, well... And I just didn't want you meet her because she has a different view on things, and--" she stopped there, not believing what she had just said. She gave Jake a hopeful gaze, hoping that he wasn't offended or anything.
He somehow understood what she was trying to say, and let her know it with a smile that made her weak at the kneees. He brushed some of her hair out of her eyes. He bent down and kissed her on the lips.
He couldn't believe he was kissing her! And needless to say, neither could she! When they finally stopped kissing they looked into eachother;s eyes, and then it was done. Jake knew then that he was hopelessly in love, and Abby was sure that he was in love in her, and she felt the same way about him.
"HEY! ABBY!" Abby heard Karen's vioce yell. She looked over at her stepsister as she and Jake took a step away from eachother to hide that they had kissed.
*************************************************************** *******************************
Jake sat in his room and sulked. He couldn't do this to her, he couldn't hurt her! He loved her, for the first time in his life, he finally knew and felt love for someone. This was going to complicate things for everyone. He put his hands to his face and silently cried, something he had never done before.
All through his life, no one had ever liked him for who he was, no one had ever done anything for him without expecting something in return, no one had ever loved him. And now he knew what love really was, and the one he loved was the one he had been sent to spy on and betray, and worse yet destroy.
************************************************************** ***********
Abby sat in her bed, thinking. Jake, he was so sweet. And she wouldn't be able to end up with him.
