Abby and Karen's Weird Adventure

Chapter 8 - Love's little kicks in the....
Mistress sat in the living room of her apartment, thinking about Jake. He had been acting strangely since he had returned from meeting that girl at the mall. Things were getting strange, and Mistress was beginging to think that Jake was actually falling for that brat!
But, Jake wouldn't do such a thing! Would he?
She sudden;y got an idea that would prove his loyalty, and give them the upper hand!

Abby woke in her bed when she heard a tapping at the window. She got up and looked to see what it was. She grinned when she saw Jake standing outside. But, what was he doing there?
She opened the window, and yelled down at Jake
"What are you doing here?" she yelled, just barely loud enough for him to hear, she was trying not to wake anyone else. After the huge lecture Karen gave her, she thought it best...
"I need to talk you!"
"Talk to me tomorrow!"
"It can't wait that long!!"
Abby quickly got dressed ad Jake turned around waiting for her. Then she climbed down the ladder next to her window, she was lucky there wasn't a screen. When she got low enough, she dropped to the ground right beside Jake.
Jake felt like he was about to cry, he didn't think he could he could do what his mother had asked him to.
Abby looked at his sad face. He leaned over and kissed her on the lips, she kissed him back.
"Walk with me?" he asked her
"Alright." she said unsure.
"What do you need to talk to me about?" Abby asked him as they turned a corner.
"Abby," Jake couldn't believe he was about to tell her he was sent to lead her into a trap.
"what?" she asked in return.
"I-- Please, just walk with me?" Jake asked, unable to continue talking. Would she hate him after he told her? He thought for sure she would. HE HATED HIS MOTHER FOR THIS!!! How could she have known?
Jake stopped dead and realized they were close to where his mother told him to take her. Abby stopped and turned to him.
"What is it? Is something wrong?" Abby asked, now starting to feel in the least bit afraid.
"Abby, please! Don't talk to me, just leave me alone." Abby frowned.
Then Jake turned the other. Abby followed as he began to walk, not saying a word. Finally he told her the whole bit, his mother, the trap, his love for her..... And when it came to an end Abby stared into his eyes.
Jake stood, ready to take anything she'd say to him.
"So, your mother is Mistress?" she managed to croak. Jake winced as he nodded a yes.
"And you were sent to kiddnap me?" Jake winced again as she continued.
"And you fell in love with me?" Jake felt a tear roll down his cheek as he nodded another yes. To his suprise, Abby smiled.
"Are you still going to lead me to trap?" she asked him. He looked in her eyes. She already knew the answer, but he nodded anyways.
"Will you help us defeat your mother so we can home?" Jake looked up.
"Yes." he said in a firm tone.
****************************************************************< br> Karen didn't take the news well, the news about Jake being a BAD guy! She just about blew upat her stepsister as their cover was almost blown!
They formed a plan, a perfect plan! Guarenteed to work, but just one small thing still lay to said.
"I won't be able to go with you guys, so I'd better find a place to hide." Jake said as he turned to leave the building.
"You can't go with us?" Abby asked. Jake nodded a no.
Abby felt her heart drop as the news sunk in, and Jake left for his home, and to find a place to hide once the battle was over. After all, any other mage, wizard, or sorceress might decide to get revenge at him, his mother did have friends in high places.
Abby's breathing quickened as she ran up the stairs into her room. She sat there and cried on her bed.
