Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Epiphany ❯ Shortest Chapter Ever! ( Chapter 1 )
Man, this is the shortest chapter in history. I wish I could write as good as Kirika...*sniff*
Hotaru felt the first drop of rain on her pale forehead halfway to the park. She looked up to the sky, and a fat raindrop hit her on the cheek. The sky was building with dark clouds and she could see they were threatening to burst any moment.
"Oh damn!!" She said aloud as she turned around to go the other way. There was a quick roll of thunder.
"One. Two." Lightening flashed over Tokyo. The storm was close. Hotaru was far from home, and she began to run. No one was out on the streets; the city seemed deserted.
<It's almost as though I am the only one left out...and everyone is laughing at me...running away from the rain...> As she ran down an alley for a shortcut, the sky tore open above her head and poured water down. Hotaru shielded her books from the rain as much as possible, running quicker. As she began to see the opening from the alley, she had an attack. She fell to her knees, her breath coming in quick short gasps. Her chest felt as though it was on fire. The cold rain seemed to evaportate the second it touched her burning skin.
"N-no." She stammered as she tried to get to her feet. A hand was suddenly outstretched to her. She took it gladly. She began to stand shakily, using the hand and arm offered to her as a cane, when something hard hit her in the head. She fell back, losing consciousness quickly.
Hotaru was thrown into an old gray Chevy. Blood was matted into her shoulder length black hair, and her eyes were still shut. Blood was clotted on the side of her face as well. The man slammed the door of the car and got in on the driver's side. He sped away to a tiny apartment building in the slums of Tokyo. There he gently carried Hotaru into his apartment and slammed the door.
