“You fool!” Kaiba turned around to see a man with black hair that went to was in a pony tail and black eyes. He was wearing a cape that was black.

“Who are you?” he asked.

“The man who is going to take Hotaru away from you,” he said as Kaiba glared at him.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

“I knew you were going to take that card as soon as you saw it laying on your bed stand and I knew you would do anything to take down the pharaoh himself even if it meant hurting little Hotaru,” he hissed as Kaiba thought about what he had said to Hotaru.

 

Flash Back

 

“Your not worth my time!” he yelled as Hotaru's eyes widen. “You should be grateful that I even let you live in my house! But you do nothing to show it!” Hotaru looked at him for a minute then got up and ran.

 

 

End of Flash back

 

“Hotaru…”Kaiba whispered as he fell to his knees. The man laughed at Kaiba because he looked so…so…so helpless.

“Now, farewell Pharaoh!” the guy said as he disappeared.

“Kaiba! Snap out of it!” Yami said as he shook Kaiba trying to snap Kaiba out of this…this realization that he was a jerk to Hotaru(like how many reviewers wanted to kill him?) Yami wondered if Kaiba had deeper feelings for her.

“Hotaru…I'm suck a…fool,” he whispered as Yami did the only thing he could do…slap him.

“Kaiba! If you want to save this girl then go after her! Don't just sit here like a fool! Go after her! Don't let this creep have her!”

“Allister was right. I'm not good for Hotaru,” he said as the memory flashed before his eyes.

 

Flash Back

 

Kaiba walked outside early in the morning because he couldn't go back to sleep. He was walking in the back yard to see due on the flowers. He saw a figure also walking.

“Kaiba,” he knew that voice, it was Allister.

“What? You want to hurt Hotaru some more? You seem to enjoy it!” he yelled.

“You sound like you care for her!” Allister hissed.

“Someone has to protect her!”

“You? Yeah right! Hotaru doesn't need a cold hearted bastard! She needs someone who can watch over her!”

“And you think I can't do that?”

“No because you don't love nor can you love. You have never loved anyone in your life and you would give up a person so you could beat Yami. Why should Hotaru have to go through that? She would stay by your side even if you break her heart over a dozen times!”

“I was not the one who made her cry last night, now am I?”

“Kaiba, you took a lot of things away from me, but you will NOT get Hotaru! She will find out soon that you will hurt and betray her!”

“What makes you think that I want this girl? But I won't let you take her!”

“You are not good for her!” Allister yelled before disappearing into the fog.

 

End of flash back

 

“Kaiba, I think this guy might really hurt Hotaru! Kaiba!” Yami slapped him hard on the face, but he didn't even move.

“Hotaru…” he whispered as another flash back came to him.

 

Flash back

 

Hotaru just finished dinner and she was reading in her room.

“Hotaru?” she knew the voice was Seto's.

“Yes, Seto?” she asked as he came in and sat on her bed.

“I want you to know something…”

“Hm?”

“I want you to that…I will always protect you.” He said as he touched her hand.

“I knew that as soon as I met you Kaiba. When I first met Allister he told me that you were a jerk and…lots of other things, but when I talked to you I would see this man who is misunderstood by people and he's afraid to show emotions.” She said this quietly and blushingly too. Kaiba looked at her and smiled a little.

 

End of flash back

 

Hotaru was softly talking to Allister and Amara when a weird fog came out of no where! She felt something wrap around her waist.

“Don't look so sad, Saturn. I'm here,” he whispered as Hotaru pulled away.

“Who are you?!” she yelled.

“Who am I? Why, I am one the prince from you are going to merry.”

“What?” Allister said as he jumped in front of Hotaru.

“I am Master 80,” he said as he bowed down to her.

“Nice to meet ya now leave!” Amara said as she pulled out her transforming pen.

“Tisk tisk, still have that temper I see,” he said with an evil grin.

“Go to hell,” Allister said.

“What? I'm just taking my bride that's all!” he said as he pulled out his sword.

“Your not taking her!”

“Well then I guess I'm going to have to kill you, you know that, right?” he asked as he thrust his sword toward Allister.

“NO!” Hotaru yelled ready to take the blow of the sword, but something stopped it. She looked up to see ice cold blue eyes caught her own. Her eyes widen when she saw who the person was…Seto Kaiba.

“Kaiba?” Allister asked as Yami came up to him with his eyes already widening.

“Kaiba?” Yami asked as Tristan and the others came.

“What the…” Joey asked notcing Kaiba.

“KAIBA!!” Hotaru yelled with tears in her eyes.

“Ho…ta…ru,” Kaiba said as he spit up blood.

“Oh my god! Seto!” she said as she saw the sword had gone threw him barely missing his back bone.

“Hm,” Master 80 said leaving without anyone noticing.

“H…otar…u,” Kaiba said as he fell to his knees with Hotaru catching him.

“Please, don't say another word…my love,” Hotaru whispered as she healed his injury. He lost a lot of blood so no one was sure if he was going to live or die…

Next time: Will Kaiba live or die and if he does, how will Hotaru explain what she meant when she said, “My love”.
