It's been 3 days since the encounter. They were still walking in the forrest. Endymion stopped blaming Serenity since he was leading and she was following. They talked a bit every once in a while and he was starting to get used to her. Still he knew absolutly nothing of her. She was a complete mystery. But of course, he didn't care. Why would he be interested in her past? However it did intrigue him how she didn't know where she was either.

“How'd she get here in the first place?” His thoughts were abrutly interrupted when he heard a loud gasp.

Endymion turned around to see Serenity rushing forward. He looked beyond her and saw a small white fox with it's leg trapped in a hunting contraption of some sort. Blood was spilling on its side in every direction. He sighed.

“Great she's probably going to start crying over how much he's suffering or something like that. Well. Women will be women.”

What happened next shocked him. Serenity was using her own hands to try and free the little fella. Her skin was ripping as she tried to force the contraption with sharp metal on each side open. Now we couldn't tell who's blood was who's as it mixed. Obviously the trap did not budge. Endymion looked away. But hearing whisper soft encouragements to the little fox and saying she was going to get him out of there made him glance, except his glance turned into a stare.

The blood on her hands and cuts was disgusting him. It surprised him she didn't whine and stop the minute she realized it would be impossible to open it with only her two hands. Although, it's as if she didn't realize it. For the first time it made him uncomfortable the way she was hurting herself. He'd been in hundreds of battles and blood never made him feel this way. On men, women even on children. But on her, on Sere, it looked wrong.

Unconscioussly he ran towards her and pushed her away.
“Idiot! What do you think you're doing?!”
Serenity was in shock and her only reflex was to glare up at him. But not for long because he then took out his sword and slammed it against the damned metal trap which snapped open.

The fox immediately took out his leg out and limped a few steps away.
Serenity went to it and took out a cloth out of her run-down side bag. She wrapped it around its leg.

“There, there. Are you okay?”

After a few minutes of calming the fox down she looked up at Endymion in the eyes.

“Thanks Endy.” She smiled at him.

First off, no one called him “Endy” and no one usually thanked him. However, her calling him Endy didn't seem to bother him, and plus he liked it when she smiled at him.

“Since when do I like when she smiles at me? Wait, since when do I talk to myself?! Shit, this woman is driving me insane.”

As he looked down he saw her wounded hands. They rested lightly on her laps as she was kneeling beside the white fox.

Endymion went to Arago and took some sort of cream and cloth out of his saddle pocket.
He then walked towards her and took her hands. Gently he started rubbing cream on her cuts and wrapping her hands in cloth.

Serenity was bewildered, but then again this man was full of surprises. She looked at him but he wouldn't make eye contact with her. Her lips formed a smile.

“Isn't he a shy one.”

“Thank you very much.” She said in a quiet voice.

Endymion still not looking at her, cleared his voice, “We should be going.” With that he took his horse's reins and started walking away.

Serenity looked down at the fox, :”Now be careful next time, awrigth?” she patted him on the head and started walking away but the fox whimpered and started following him.
Endymion looked back.

“Aww. Look, he wants to come!!” she giggled.

“We are NOT bringing him along!” Endymion replied.

A frown came to her face, “And why not?”

“Because I said so! He's going to slow us down.”

“Yeah, well I'm saying he can come with ME! Besides, I'm going to carry him.”

“Are you kidding me? You're not strong enough to carrry him!”

Serenity was pissed off, “Don't tell me what I can and can't do!”

She then picked the fox up and started marching towards Endymion and passing him on purpose to shoe that she could very well carry him.

Endymion let out a grunt and started walking after her.

Atfer they both cooled off, no after Serenity cooled off that is in only 5 minutes her usual chatting started.

“Hmmm, what should I name you? Or do you already have a name?”

Endymion rolled his eyes.

But, it's as if the fox actually understood her. “That's impossible. Animals don't understand humans and vice versa.”

“No? Okay than let's think of a name, what should we name her Endy?”

“Like I bloodycare.” Was his amazing response.

She only chuckled, “Okay how about…ermmm well since you're white , how about Shiva? Do you like?”

The fox made a sound that seemed as if she approved. “Shiva it is!”
Serenity was so happy it seemed she was walking in heaven.

“Doesn't take much to put her in a good mood.”

And finally it happened. They had reached a clearing. Plains was the outcome of the forest that had walked for the past 3 days.

Serenity looked at Endymion. For the first time since she'd met him he seemed sort of happy. She should be too. But she wasn't. She looked around some more and it's as if she didn't want to leave the forest. “That's nonsense, why wouldn't I want to leave?Okay so I have been here for a few years or so, that doesn't mean I don't want to go. Why aren't I just releived to finally leave?”

Endymion sighed a “Finally” and continued on walking.

“Maybe, cuz they told you to stay here.” A small voice popped in her head.

She shook her head and followed after Endymion.

Nightfall was coming and they decided to make camp.

“Thank god, no offense Shiva but you sure are heavy.” Serenity chuckled to herself while Shiva gave a slight growl. She gently set her down on the ground while Endymion was making a fire.

After a few minutes they were sitting around the fire. Shiva had fallen asleep on Serenity's side and Arago was eating grass beside Endymion.

They were both watching the fire. Endymion coulnd't stop glancing at Serenity. Her skin was radiating with the flames reflecting against it. “I recognize these plains. Were only a day's walk away from Montdell Shires.”

Serenity looked surprised, “Only a day's walk?”

“Mmmhmm.” Endymion nodded.

Serenity smiled a him, “Well then, see I told you, you could survive me, I've gotta say you've got some patience to deal with me.”

He looked at her and then let out chuckle. It wasn't much but it was the first time he let out a laugh in ages. It seemed odd to him how a girl he had only met less than 5 days ago could make him laugh. He looked at her.

“So why do you want to go to Montdell Shires so much? All it is there is little hobbits and a few elves.”

The laughter in her seemed to have died out and he wondered why.
She seemed uneasy.
“Ah..it's a long story, I'll bore you.”

But he insisted, “Nah, we've got time, and if you bored me I wouldn't be talking to you.”
He smiled but Serenity didn't.

“Mm..kay. Well. I guess it's because I really want to see my friends. I guess you could put it that way.”

“You guess?”

She seemed to hesitate.”Well, ok, so about 5 years ago my friends drop me in the forrest that we came out of and tell me to stay there.”

“How old are you?”

“Me? I'm 17. How old are you?”

“I'm 21, that's not the point, they left you at 12 years old all alone? Why?”

Serenity looked down and her gaze stopped at the fire and stayed there. “Well…I don't…I don't really know why exactly…but…see I know that they're in Montdell Shire cuz see Shaoa, she's was 9 at the time, told me where they were going.”

“Well how many of you guys is there?”

“Oh well in total we're 4. There was me, Shaoa, Paige, Beryli.”

“How do you know they're still over there, it's been 5 years.”

Serenity didn't know what to reply. “Well…I don't know really..”

“Why did they tell you to stay there?”

“Look! I just don't know! Okay?!”

Endymion was taken aback, she hadn't snapped at him once since they'd met. Serenity looked down at her hands.

“I'm sorry, I guess I'm just tired, I'll just go to bed.”

Endymion looked at her and slowly nodded.

Sleep fell on both of them soon after.
