Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Sailor Moon E(ternals) ❯ Beniha is Defeated. What of Sailor Minerva? ( Chapter 11 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
A/N: Ami and Shingo's moment in the sun is almost over...for now. We'll see them again. Who can guess who will be next? Anyone??? Also, my side stories are nicely progressing with an introduction to another new character...just to add some pizazz...:) Summer is here, but it's been really busy. About halfway through and hopefully I can get some more written. I'm extremely frustrated because I have about 10 other stories in my head...most centered around Sailor Moon.....(Whatever happened to me writing my novel this summer???) I have two crossovers planned, but I want to finish this story and the sequel story. Also, I have story based off a contest on another site, but I want to wait until the contest is over before I 1) post the contest piece on mediaminer, and 2) post the follow up.
Enjoy the next chapter.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Sailor Moon characters. Naoko Takeuchi has that illustrious honor. I do however own the villains, Sailor Sun, Sailor Aphrodite, the story line, and, of course, the senshi's Eternal transformations and powers…ïŠ
Chapter 11
Beniha is Defeated. What of Sailor Minerva?
After convincing Usagi that there was no wedding in the works, Ami and Shingo hung up the phone. Shingo walked over to Ami and gave her a hug. “At least she didn't try and kill you,” Shingo said to his love.
Ami giggled and wrapped her arms around Shingo's waist. “I thought it was close for a while.”
Shingo smiled and bent his head down, silently brushing Ami's lips with his own. “Mmmm, yes, but it's over now. And we're alone!”
Ami blushed, but smiled as Shingo deepened the kiss.
*************
Standing in the shadows beside Mizuno Ami's dorm room, a young woman laughed at the conversation she was hearing from the other side of the window. A bright flash of light from a passing car briefly illuminated the young woman and her face. She had dark red hair put up in an unusual style. It was long, but the majority of it was piled on top of her head, curled and tucked under. Down the back, her loose hair was braided into three braids that were connected with a large white bow at the bottom. She was dressed as a senshi, her fuku being the traditional Sol System fuku. Her white body suit was collared by a light blue collar and her long white gloves were edged in light blue. Her skirt, also light blue, was capped in back by a white back bow. In front, her bow was a light orange shade with a light blue button. Her shoes were white heels with gold “tying string” going up to her knees. She was wearing the “supers” fuku, making the sleeves sheer and her choker was white. The stone in her tiara was light blue and around her waist was a chain made of clear crystal beads and hanging from the very end of the chain on her left side was a large gold heart with the center punched out.
The unknown senshi had a smile on her face and her lavender eyes twinkled as she watched the two inside kiss, but by the time the next car passed, she had disappeared.
She reappeared inside Sailor Sun's white walled sanctuary. “I'm back.”
“Tidia, how did it go?” Sailor Sun asked.
“Fine. I just had to push Lord Merc slightly into accepting Sailor Mercury's love so they're fine now. Prince Endymion showed up after Lord Merc accepted, but he was fine with it too. Her heard the explanation and moved on. The Princess though...” Tidia, also known as Sailor Aphrodite, grimaced. “It's understandable that she would be a little unsure, considering Lord Merc was born as her brother during this time, but I had to forcibly open her mind. She'll be fine and luckily Sailor Mercury and Lord Merc didn't see anything wrong with the Princess changing her mind in such a short amount of time, but...” Tidia's petite nose wrinkled. “It used a lot of my energy.”
Solana smiled at the girl she saved from certain death and watched as her transformation faded. The girl was left wearing a long, lavender dress that matched her eyes, but had on the same shoes she wore as a senshi, and the chain and heart was still draped over her waist. “Anything else of interest happen?” the golden senshi asked her young charge.
Tidia hesitated. “Well...”
“Yes?”
“Princess Haly was there. She's going by Setsuna now.”
Solana visibly blanched. “I used to call her that...”
“She still loves you, you know. You could...”
“I have to finish my job first. You know that Tidia. I can not be distracted again. It was too costly last time.”
“I know,” she said quietly. “At least you have something of Haly's to remember her by,” Tidia said, pointing to the ribbon tied around Solana's staff. “I don't have anything of Coruna's.”
“What about that then?” Solana asked, pointing to the chain around Tidia's waist.
“Coruna made that, it wasn't hers to begin with.”
“But you remember her whenever you see it, touch it, or handle it in anyway, don't you?” Tidia nodded and Solana looked pleased. “Look, Tidia. I know it's hard, but we have to do this before Minerva kills them.”
“Do you think there's a chance that Minerva is not really the one behind this?”
“Do you think she's just a pawn?” Solana asked, surprised.
Tidia nodded and looked at Solana sadly. “Minerva and I were friends. She and I were really close and I know that there is one person that Minerva was willing to let herself be used by...”
“Lord Calum?”
“Precisely. He is the only one she ever followed without thinking twice.”
“This is not good. If Calum is involved, there has to be someone pulling his strings too.”
“My thoughts exactly. I know you don't want to hear this, Solana, but I think Haly should know.”
“Yes, you're right.” Solana sighed. “I'll go tell her.”
Solana lifted her staff and a portal appeared. After she stepped through, Tidia smiled and whispered, “Go get her, Solana. Get your lover back.”
*************
Sailor Pluto, sensing a portal opening up in Germany, opened her own portal and stepped through. She looked around, recognizing Ami-chan's dorm and saw the portal that was opening, closing. She ran over to it, hoping to stop it from closing so she could go talk to Solana. That had to be who was there. She didn't reach it in time though, and she looked up in disappointment. She saw Ami and Shingo in each other's embrace and wondered that they hadn't come up for air. She looked away, blushing slightly. I remember how that was. To be so focused on the one you were with that you didn't notice anything else. I also remember how dangerous that state is. A tingle ran up the back of her neck and she turned quickly to see Solana stop out of a portal.
“I didn't know you had it in you, Haly.”
“What?”
“Voyeurism.”
Pluto glanced at the window, then back at Solana. “It's not what you think, Sunny.”
Solana fought the urge to smile. She couldn't let Haly see her smile. It would be all over if that was the case. I'm sorry, Haly. I let our relationship get in the way of my job before. I can't let it happen again. “I have some news for you. About the enemy.”
Pluto sighed. So this is how it would be. “I already know it's Sailor Minerva...”
“Do you know that Sailor Minerva is being used?”
“Oh!”
“I think there is some one from the Dark Kingdom behind the attacks and Sailor Minerva is just a means to the end.”
“I'll let the others know. Or you could. You could come out of hiding...”
“I have a job to do, Sailor Pluto.” I can't do it properly if I'm out of 'hiding', as you put it.”
Pluto flushed again, this time with anger. “Fine but could you at least release Aren and Ditio? People have noticed their disappearance and...”
Solana looked surprised. “Her grandfather shouldn't have noticed...”
“No, he seems to be oblivious, but Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion...”
Solana waved her hand. “Tell the Prince and Princess that they're fine. I'll let them leave when Princess Aren is healed...”
“Solana you need to stop popping in and out of time and stopping time...”
“I've got to go, Sailor Pluto. Good-bye.”
Solana stepped through her portal, not noticing the minute magical tag Pluto placed to the edge. Next time a portal was used, Pluto would be able to find the means to open it.
*************
“Beniha! Let's go get Sailor Mercury.”
“Hai, Minerva-sama.”
Sailor Minerva stepped through a portal and Beniha left in a swirl of sparks.
*************
The duo reappeared in the light of day outside of a building that had students bustling in and out. They didn't know that Shingo was walking out of the building when they appeared. He quickly hid behind a tree, pulled out a cell phone, and left a text message on Ami's mini computer.
Sparkler and Bossy-lady just showed up. Come ASAP. Will try and hold them off.
Shingo pulled out his whip and in an instant was Kamen no Mercury. He stepped around the corner and confronted Sailor Minerva and Beniha, who had captured a young woman and was about to pull her Mind Soul out.
“Ah, Lord Merc. We were hoping you'd show up.”
At Minerva's word, Beniha threw her arm out, surrounding Merc with a cage of flames. She smiled smugly and walked slowly up to the flames, dropping the young woman in the process. The young woman crawled away, getting up and running when she got to a grove of trees.
Merc held up his hands and started shooting ice shards at the nearest column of fire, but as soon as he doused it and moved to the next, the original column lit on fire again. Damn, Merc thought, putting his hands down and wiping the sweat on his cape. This will wear me out if it continues. Hurry, Ami!
Ami, as it happened was running towards the bathroom, pretending to be sick so she could get out of class. She did a quick scan and, not seeing anyone, pulled out the konpekizuishou. “MERCURY ETERNAL! MAKE-UP!” Ami felt herself transform and was out the side window before the person walking by could stick their head in the bathroom door to investigate the shout.
The fire around Merc was getting closer and closer, causing Merc to try again to douse the flames. This only caused them to burn faster when they re-lit.
“Brought by the intelligent people in need, I am Sailor Mercury. Take a cold shower and think on what you've done. Shabon...Spray!”
The area was instantly foggy and the fires around Merc were doused enough that he could step through. He flipped his whip at the demon who had trapped him and was holding her arms down at her side so she couldn't start anymore fires. He was also sending ice up the whip, which was working a long way into weakening her powers.
When the fog cleared, Beniha started screaming as she saw the black marks on her arms where the cold whip was touching her.
Mercury brought her staff out of the subspace pocket and took her lapis lazuli stone off her choker. “Frozen...” she flipped the stone in the air, catching on top of the staff. A bright light flashed and she was spinning the staff in front of her. “...Mercury...” she stopped the spinning staff by jamming the butt end into the ground. Her hands moved around the top, where the snakes' heads were at and she grabbed them like the handles of a bike. “...Doweling...” pulling the staff out of the ground by the top, she flipped the staff over. It ended up pointing at the enemy. The lapis lazuli was glowing bright blue as the power built up. “...Storm!” The stone released it's pent up energy in the form of a giant ball of ice. It raced towards Beniha and Minerva, crashing into both.
Merc leapt out of the way, and when the steam that formed from the Spark Demon being destroyed dissipated, they saw Minerva lying on the ground. They walked over to her to see if she wanted to be healed, when she teleported to the top of a tree. “I'll get you, Mercury!” she shouted, breathing heard. “You'll pay for destroying Beniha.” She disappeared, still shouting curse words.
As one, Mercury and Merc turned towards the new source of the wind at their backs, only to see Sailor Sun with someone behind her coming towards them. “If we are to defeat this enemy, we need to work together once again. Please come with me, Princess Meias and Lord Merc.”
Merc and Mercury looked at each other and shrugged. If it would defeat the enemy... Taking each others' hands, they walked towards the portal with Sailor Sun and her companion.
