Sailor Universe: Chapter 14

“Do you even have any proof?? And what is this Silver Imperium Crystal you keep mentioning? It sounds vaguely familiar though I do not remember it.”

“Yes, the Silver Imperium Crystal is my proof. It is a Crystal of enormous powers that only the true descendent of the Moon Queen can control. It is probably familiar to you because the Negaverse used to brainwash people into looking for it for them. Now, it does not look powerful, but believe me, it is.”

Sailor Moon opened her brooch and showed everyone the Crystal. However, they still had their doubts, but wouldn't you?

“Do not think that I am asking for absolute obedience. I know that you will often question my judgement, and rightly so since it involves your lives. Also, I do not plan to take control right away. I know that the world will need time to understand and believe everything. Please feel free to ask questions of us right now.”

“What would we call you as a queen? Queen Sailor Moon?? That's a bit of a mouthful.”

“Nay, I will be Neo-Queen Serenity as I have already said. Now, to prove that we trust you, we shall reveal our names given to us when we were reborn. You will now see us without our Sailor Scout outfits. Scouts, Protectors, detransform.”

Everyone's uniforms disappeared. The crowd gasped in shock of this leap of faith.

“What are your true names?”

“Well, my true name is different from the one I was given on Earth, as is Tuxedo Mask's, but the others are the same. I was Princess Serenity, but now, I am Serena Tsukino. Tuxedo Mask was Prince Endymion but is now Darien Shields. Mercury is Ami Mizuno, Mars is Raye Hino, Jupiter is Lita Kino, Venus is Mina Aino, Uranus is Haruka Ten'ou, Neptune is Michiru Kaiou, Saturn is Hotaru Tomoe, Universe is Marlena Kaolin and Pluto is Setsuna Meiou. Oh, and Sunlight Knight is Colin McCaine. I do not know when I will take the throne. We were thinking in a month, but, um, circumstances have made the date indefinite.”

“Can you explain what those circumstances are?”

“No, I am afraid that I cannot. A private matter must be taken care of before the coronation. Rest assured, everything will be fine.”

“Serena? May I speak?”

“Of course, Darien. All of you are welcome to say what you wish.”

“Ladies and Gentlemen, I know why Serena refuses to name a date for the coronation. It is because she knows that in the future I rule beside her as King Endymion. She is worried that I am not ready to marry her, but she is completely wrong.”

Darien dropped to his knee, pulled out the velvet box, and looked up at Serena.

“I do not know if you have seen what this box contains. I know that I told you to look in my pocket, but I passed out because of my injuries and did not have the courage to ask if you did as I asked. Serena, I love you more than you could ever know. Even during the time of the Moon Kingdom, I loved you more than I can explain with words. I have waited thousands of years to be reborn and to find you and that love again. I will wait no more. Serena, my love, will you marry me?”

Sometime during this speech, he had opened the box, but Serena didn't notice. Her gaze was fixated on his face, and tears cascaded down her cheeks that were rosy from embarrassment.

“Oh, Darien, I can't believe that this is finally true. I keep thinking that if someone pinched me I would wake and find this is but a dream.. OUCH! What was that for?!”

“You said you thought you would wake up if someone pinched you, so I decided to prove you wrong.”

“Well, thank you very much Mina! Darien, I love you, and there is nothing I want more than to marry you.”

Darien slipped the beautiful ring onto her finger, and then he rose, picked her up, and spun her around as they kissed. The crowd cheered them on, but nobody had noticed the people in the back. They were crying, because they now knew that their children were grown up, and that they had a past no one could ever understand.

“Well, I guess the coronation will take place in a month, only now we will also have a king to crown!”

“Oh, Lita, would you hush?”

“SERENA!!”
