Chapter 7
Strength King
Recovering was an long uphill ordeal for everyone. Haruka, Michiru Makoto, Minako, Setsuna, and Ami had their different ways of trying to quicken their healing, but the comman relation was both rest, and the enemy. Their was no way they could take them on the way they were. So Usagi, Makoto, and Mianko stayed completely aware the rest of the day, then the next day, and the day after. After that Setsuna was released from the hospital and joined them. Well a few more days passed by and Rei was also released from the hospital, but with a cast on her wrist and leg, she woulden't be able to help anyone for a while. After that the days turned into a week. Ami, Haruka and Michiru finally joined the rest of them, but in Ami's case it took some fancy negotiation with her mother to let her out of the house.
Mamoru was still laid up, but after the surgery he was on his way to be let out in a few days. Of coarse, who else but Usagi was estatic. She visited him everyday for several hours, and made sure he had her nearby to brighten his day.
More days passed with many questions and few answers. Everyday was like midnight on deathrow, but even after another week, nothing happened.
Well a few more weeks passed and the weeks turned into a month, Mamoru was released about a few weeks ago, but like Rei, he could barely move and was under a pair of crutches.
More weeks passed by, and a few more months passed by, and nothing happened. Haruka and Michiru found another apartment and rebuilt their little paridise away from the world. This paticular apartment building was also just a stone-toss away from a Kobon. Haruka put on a chain latch on the front door for a little extra security. Eventually, and soon enough summer came and went, birthdays and holidays went by and nothing happened. The months rolled by and eventually they just didn't know what to do anymore. "they" had left. Even as the fall season came it to also went, followed by winter.
8 months pass since Chapter 6
Rei and Yuichiro were walking along the decorated streets for the holidays. Light were lined along almost every single window frame, street side vendors were selling fresh baked cookies, and spice cakes. Yuichiro had three bags in each hand as he followed Rei around each shopping store. He didn't mind it though, since she was buying gifts for everybody.
Elsewhere in another shopping center... Minako, Makoto, and Ami, were also buying gifts for their friends with each other. Dresses, video games, books, and movies were bought one at a time for eachother.
Mamoru and Usagi were also downtown, they finished shopping awhile ago, so they sat in a small booth while drinking hot-cocoa with whip-cream and just sat there looking at eachother, and enjoying each others company. Some good friends found them, and Motoki and Unazuki joined them and talked livley, and about what they were doing for the holidays.
As the day went on, and into mid-afternoon and the people from ever courner of town were into full swing with buying gifts. A black-masked man walked out of a roof-top door of a building with a backpack, around his shoulder, and another long bag in his left hand. He aproached the edge and dropped both bags with a clatter, and looked at the streets below. He turned and was down on his knees and opened his long bag and pulled out a quiver of fifteen arrows, a modern hunting bow, and a bottle of water from his backpack. The quiver was attached to his left side, he looked over the edge again. He was twenty-five floors up, and all he could see were the swarms of people in every direction.
"Okay." He said under his breath. He took his bow in his left hand and waited near the buildings edge. Only moments passed, and then he saw the people beginning to cross the street. He drew an arrow from the quiver and onto the bow-string, then pulled stright back, aiming for the center of the crosswalk. [plunk] The arrow flew stright down without a sound, and struck the ground. [BOOOM!!!] People were thrown out and away with a violent force, car windows were blown away into small ant sized particles, nearly every single car alarm went off with furious panic. Instantly twelve people were killed from the blast, over sixty people were seriously injured, and another ninety people were lightly injured. The blast was definetly loud enough to alert everybody withen a mile and a half of the presented danger. The man in the ski-mask drew another arrow and drew back on the bow [plunk]--[BOOOM!!!] If things could get worse, this guy knew how to cause it. Those who were injured on the ground were caught in the blast adding another twenty-three casualties. Sirens could be heard in the distance, as cops and some people were flooding in to help in any way they could. The two blasts also alerted all the girls, such a sudden sound was so instant it scared nearly all of them halfway to an early grave. The man in the ski-mask set down the bow and leaned close to the edge, scanning the streets from his position.
A few minutes later, Rei and Yuichiro were already there and saw the carnage in front of them.
"This can't be happening." She said aloud to herself. It was like a bad dream you couldn't wake up from.
"Why would this happen now?"
Above on the rooftop the man in the ski-mask saw Rei and that other guy who lived at the same shrine.
"Ah, there you are. Now... where are your friends?" He said to himself. He then saw Rei and Yuichiro run into the center of things and began helping anyone who they could. He sat back and drank some water as he looked over his shoulder then looked back down at the street.
"Eh, come on, where the hell are your little friends?. Come on... call them for help."
Rei's mind however was in a one-track state, she rushed from person to person as she and Yuichiro moved debries and brushed away shattered glass. Rei then noticed how many children were just standing alone... some were crying, some didn't even notice the fact they had cuts and glass shards embeded in their skin, and some were dead.
A twenty minutes later, it was on every news station on tv. Ambulences were coming and going, the police had setup road barriers in all four directions with an extra half a block of space from the area. The man in the ski-mask was still on the roof, waiting, and not really doing anything at the moment. He looked kindda... bored. He could still see Rei croutched next to several people, talking to the injured, but she was still the only one there. He picked up the bow and another arrow and drew back. He knew there was no way he could hit anything accuratly from his distance, but with what was in the arrowhead, there was a good chance he could do alot of damage on the outgoing ambulance [plunk]--[BOOOM!!!]
The ambulance was heavly damaged, and the blast knocked it over on it's side
(Okay Rei, call your friends, or I'm gonna get really irritible) He thought to himself.
Another seven minutes passed, and then Ami, Minako, and Makoto showed up.
"Rei, what's going on here?!" Minako asked franitcly.
"I have no idea."
"Are you okay?" Ami asked. Rei looked around her. At the damage and the injured and the small fire in a alley dumpster.
"No, I'm not okay. I just need help."
"How?"
"Just go around and talk to everyone who's hurt. To try to make them feel better." The three girls agreed and began to help. Three minutes passed again then Haruka and Michiru arrived.
A minute later Mamoru and Usagi came, followed shrotly by Setsuna, and they as well helped. All this was observed by the man in the ski-mask from above. It may have taken longer than he assumed, but all the Scouts were below him.
"About damn time." He drew another arrow, this time he aimed straight ahead and aimed outwards [plunk]...........[BOOOM!!!] Down below everyone turned westward towards the sound of the blast.
"Now what?" Haruka said.
(Oh no, not again.) Ami thought as she could already picture how many people were either hurt or killed.
"Uhh, okay. Uh, Ami, Makoto, Minako, and Setsuna. Can you go over there to help?" Usagi said. The four girls agreed, and went off. The rest stayed to help anyone they still could. Up above however, he saw the girls split up then grabed a small, hand radio.
"Four of them are heading your way. The other five are still below me." He stuffed everything back in the two bags beside him and made a dash for the roof-door and raced downstairs, gun in hand.
The damage was minute, compared to the other site. Quite a few people were hurt but this time no-one was killed. Minutes later, as the four girls were helping people in anyway they could. They heard screaming, Ami was the first to look followed by the others. The street just ahead of them was flooding with people in the numbers above seven hundred, all of them running at olympic speed. The last few people straggled behind as well as a few cops and the streets were nearly empty. Setsuna and Makoto took a few steps forward to see what the fuss was about. Not much could be heard untill they saw it. It leared from around the street courner, and turned directly towards the four girls. They aimed their view upwards. Their was nothing about this thing-alive that didn't stand out. Over seven feet tall as it stood upright, coal black skin, mangy lighter coal black fur over it's back, shoulders, and some of it's face.It had two round bony extentions from it upperback, and went around and over its chest. It's arms were gigantic. The muscle of it's shoulder was as big as a semi-truck tire, as well as the size of the upper arm. It's arms were so long, this thing would have to be two feet taller, and a foot wider at the shoulder to match it's body. The muscles over the rest of it's body were bulging grossly out of what would be normal. It's face was shaped with a six inch muzzle of a bear. It's ears were small and pointed backwards. The knuckles of it's hands dangled just inches above it's ankle. From it's fingertips to just above it's elbow was covered with some sort of overlapping bone, plates or shell. The same was for it's legs, from it's toes, and above it's knees. The fingers and toes were like long single edged knives, all twenty digits. Lastly a pair of grey pants, torn past above the knee.
"What... is that?" Minako said with widened eyes, open mouth. This thing, the creature, it walked towards the girls, lumbering forwards.
"Guys, I just remembered."
"What?"

"That thing has been here before. The bus accident." After that was mentioned, they all remembered. The creature then picked up speed and charged full bore in the middle of them. The girls ran out of the way in three different directions. The creature stopped and went after Setsuna as she ran down the street and through and alley. She ran quickly as the creature also ran rammed, slammed, and trampled on and through everything it came in contact with. She kicked a door into a office building open and slammed it shut behind her, the the creature plowed throught the door into a million splinters, and alot of the wall was dismantled with sheer brute stength. It's head smashed through celine tile and door frames in side the building. Setsuna quickly turned into every hallway getting herself a little further away. The creature slammed through another wall, and another wall. Setsuna made another turn and saw the front office door and ran as fast as she could just as the creature burst through another wall and followed her as before.
"Setsuna, get down!" She heard, and she dropped to the ground. Then a solid bright beam of light crashed throught the glass front doors and directly hit the creature in the upper shoulder and ripped upwards almost cleaving the arm off the body. Blood splashed backwards and covered the floor below it and the creature also fell backwards with an audible thud.
"Are you alright?" Venus asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you."
"Guys look!" Mercury anounced. They turned and saw the creature sitting up and holding it's cleaved arm, but it's wounded shoulder wasn't bleading as much. Then the wound was getting smaller. The wound closed and reattached muscle fibers, bone and skin closed and healed itself. Even the mangy fur on it's shoulder and back grew back. The wound heald and left no scar.
"You got to be kidding me." Jupiter said, and the creature looked up.
"Setsuna, transform. We'll keep it busy." She nodded as the creature was on it's feet and charged forward. The three scouts jumped back to the street, and it followed. They jumped high into the air as the creature leaped out to attack. Then it croutched down and with the strength in it's arms and legs it also jumped up following Venus. She landed on a fire escape, then the creature landed clutched on the wall with its claws. She jumped away again, and it followed again.
"Jupiter Oak Evolution!" The projectals hurled in a fury and slammed into the creature and twirled
it away from Venus. The creature twisted itself in the air and grabbed the wall, and began to climb the wall still in pursuit of Venus, as she made it to the next rooftop and ran. The creature then climbed to the rooftop and followed her, as both Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto jumped to the rooftop and followed the creature. Venus had a general idea of it's strength and had to remain out of it's reach, but so far the creature haden't displayed any powers other than it's strength. The Creature however was running just as fast, and it was running faster than before. Venus turned left and jumpped to the next rooftop, The creature made a wide left then jumped to the next roof, as the other three scouts followed after them.
"Is there a way we can slow this thing down?"
"All of us, at the same time." Mercury answered, and the other two agreed
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody !"
"Galactica Oak Evolution !"
"Dead Scream !"
All three attacks raced forward and hit the creature directly in the center of it's back, and made it stummble over it's two feet and roll on it's side. Then it got back up and continued running at full speed after Venus.
"It didn't work, why didn't it work?" Pluto asked, in a frustrated fit.
["Guys spreed out"] They heard Venus over the communicator, and jummped widley away. Venus made a long leap forward ahead of the creature and turned.
"Crescent Beam Shower! " The eyes of the creature widened seeing the many beams heading stright for him, then the many beams hit him, severial holes were ripped into it and dragging out streams of blood.
It stumbled, it rolled, it fell, then it stopped. Strange how this thing barely made any vocal sound, even with the way it was hurt now. The creature moved it's head in all unnatural directions and looked at the three scouts behind. One of it's large hand pushed itself from the ground as it's wounds were already healed, stood upright, and chraged full speed at the other three scouts. Mercury and Pluto jumped one way, but Jupiter went another way with the creature right behind her. Jupiter kicked open the first door she saw and ran upstairs as the creature rammed throught the wall. Jupiter leaped quickly at each stair platform as the creature moved it's mass throught the tight and narrow passages, but it was'nt even slowing down, it was running just as quick as it was outside. She reached the next platform, turned just to see the hand of the creature almost grab her leg. [Crash!!] The entire arm of the creature smashed throught the wall, but Jupiter jumped over the arm and continued upwards. The creature crawled throught the new hole in the wall and rampaged up the stairs. The other three scouts followed the creature through the hole as well. The creature stopped in it's tracks and turned just as the three scouts came around the platform. It lunged down with both arms forward. Venus lost her balance and fell backwards downstairs, Pluto and Mercury jumped up and landed on it's massive shoulder and leaped behind it. It looked up and behind him then turned and looked down and at Venus again.
"Hey, over here." Jupiter shouted. The creature looked at her, then a strange crunch sound they couldn't place, then it's arm came up and over throwing a peice of wall at them. It looked back down and charged after Venus. Jupiter jumped with an outstreched leg and kicked it in the back of it's head. Then it turned in one motion and it's clentched backfist hit Jupiter. She was sent flying through the wall of the building and remained airborne for at lest several seconds before she began to fall. She was falling faster, until Pluto dashed in, caught her, and landed on a fire escape. Pluto was out of breath from trying to keep up with Jupiter, she was knocked cold and didn't even know what was going on around her. Pluto reach for her communicator.
"GET OUT OF THERE, NOW!"
["PLUTO HELP US!!] Came Mercuary's paniced voice, screaming at the top of her lungs. Pluto took a last look at Jupiter, and leaped away. Mercury and Venus were running fast down a hall two floors up from the stairs. They found their attacks didn't work anymore on the creature. No matter how many time Venus could fire her cresent beam, the creature didn't stop. No matter how cold Mercury could frezze it , the creature shruged the ice away. The two scouts jumped out a open window and landed just outside a construction site. [THUMP!!] The creature also landed behind them and ran after them. The scouts leaped over the construction wall and ran through the machinery, bags of cement, and other objects. Venus and Mercury leaped up onto the steel beams of what would be the third floor and made several quick jumps. Then they could both feel the steel vibrating, no it was shaking. They looked down and the creature had rammed it claws into the foundation into the structure. The sound of twisting steel and riviots popping out were everywhere.
"It can't be that strong." As if it read her mind and to prove her wrong, the creature jerked the steel beam up and pulled back on it, tearing it away from the ground and away from several levels.
"That has to weigh at lest twelve tons." Then the creature grabbed the bottom of the beam and threw it at the two scouts. They dodged it but saw the steel beam land three block away. The creature moved to the next courner beam on the ground as Venus also saw something else.
"I got an idea, can you get him to move there?" She pointed to a spot to Mercury. It wasn't far and just about fifteen feet to its side.
"Yeah." Mercury leaped down, and oh yes the creature noticed. It charged after her, untill she leaped away. Then there was a clanging sound everywhere, and it was getting louder. The creature looked up. [CRASH!!!!!!!!!] Over fourty steel I-beams crashed on top of the creature. Pluto arrived seconds later.
"What's going on?" Pluto asked
"I think we killed it." Venus answered.
"How's Jupiter?" Then in a single upheaving movement, the pile of steel clattered and out came the creature again. Its head was severaly damaged and broken, and it was also healing itself. It's body snapped and popped as bones, muscle and wounds healed on their own. In seconds it was done.
"Uh-oh."
"Dead Scream." The creature reach out and grabbed the energy ball.
"Oh-no." The creature clentched its fist and the ball exploded harmlessly.
"Guys, we need to leave, NOW!" Venus was already running, followed by the other two. The creature ran after them again. While running through the semi-crowded streets, the creature grabbed a car by the front tire, and threw it ahead of the three scouts. Venus and Pluto went in one direction, and Mercury went another direction. The creature charged after Mercury as it grabbed another car and hurled it straight at her knocking her down. Then it grabbed her from off the ground with its left hand and shoved her into a wall. Its right hand reared back and three of it fingers stabbed her deep in her stomach. Her eyes widened, she couldn't breath, she couldn't scream, blood ran down it's fingers over its wrist and was soaking the hair on its arm.
"NO!!" Venus screamed, horrified about her friend. Her outstreched hand immeditly fired a large energy beam, and compleatly severed the arm of the creature at the bicep. The creature looked at its severed limb, with a sort of puzzlement. As if he was thinking 'where'd my arm go?'
"GET AWAY FROM HER!!" Venus fired another powerful shot and it ripped into its chest, and knocked it backwards. It stood back up again even with its wound and took a few steps forward, then it stopped. It turned around and started walking away, with Venus still behind it.
"Get back here Venus." But she didn't hear her, and followed the creature into alley ways. The creature looked back and saw Venus. It still kept running away, and rolled a large dumpster in the way then smashed through a wall. Venus jumped over the dumpster and turned into the hole in the wall that lead into a bakery. She looked both ways, and made a dash for the front door. She looked one way, then the other way, then above her.
(Where is it?) She walked back in the bakery.
"Did anyone see a monster with one arm come running through here?" She asked the few people eating
their deserts. But they shook their head, a couple others shruged their shoulders.
"Where'd it go?" The Creature was gone without a trace. She would've given anything to find the creature to finish it off, but her friend Ami was in danger, and she needed to help her, FAST.

"Rei, what's going on here?!" Minako asked franitcly.
"I have no idea."
"Are you okay?" Ami asked. Rei looked around her. At the damage and the injured and the small fire in a alley dumpster.
"No, I'm not okay. I just need help."
"How?"
"Just go around and talk to everyone who's hurt. To try to make them feel better." The three girls agreed and began to help. Three minutes passed again then Haruka and Michiru arrived.
A minute later Mamoru and Usagi came, followed shrotly by Setsuna, and they as well helped. All this was observed by the man in the ski-mask from above. It may have taken longer than he assumed, but all the Scouts were below him.
"About damn time." He drew another arrow, this time he aimed straight ahead and aimed outwards [plunk]...........[BOOOM!!!] Down below everyone turned westward towards the sound of the blast.
"Now what?" Haruka said.
(Oh no, not again.) Ami thought as she could already picture how many people were either hurt or killed.
"Uhh, okay. Uh, Ami, Makoto, Minako, and Setsuna. Can you go over there to help?" Usagi said. The four girls agreed, and went off. The rest stayed to help anyone they still could. Up above however, he saw the girls split up then grabed a small, hand radio.
"Four of them are heading your way. The other five are still below me." He stuffed everything back in the two bags beside him and made a dash for the roof-door and raced downstairs, gun in hand.
The damage was minute, compared to the other site. Quite a few people were hurt but this time no-one was killed. Minutes later, as the four girls were helping people in anyway they could. They heard screaming, Ami was the first to look followed by the others. The street just ahead of them was flooding with people in the numbers above seven hundred, all of them running at olympic speed. The last few people straggled behind as well as a few cops and the streets were nearly empty. Setsuna and Makoto took a few steps forward to see what the fuss was about. Not much could be heard untill they saw it. It leared from around the street courner, and turned directly towards the four girls. They aimed their view upwards. Their was nothing about this thing-alive that didn't stand out. Over seven feet tall as it stood upright, coal black skin, mangy lighter coal black fur over it's back, shoulders, and some of it's face.It had two round bony extentions from it upperback, and went around and over its chest. It's arms were gigantic. The muscle of it's shoulder was as big as a semi-truck tire, as well as the size of the upper arm. It's arms were so long, this thing would have to be two feet taller, and a foot wider at the shoulder to match it's body. The muscles over the rest of it's body were bulging grossly out of what would be normal. It's face was shaped with a six inch muzzle of a bear. It's ears were small and pointed backwards. The knuckles of it's hands dangled just inches above it's ankle. From it's fingertips to just above it's elbow was covered with some sort of overlapping bone, plates or shell. The same was for it's legs, from it's toes, and above it's knees. The fingers and toes were like long single edged knives, all twenty digits. Lastly a pair of grey pants, torn past above the knee.
"What... is that?" Minako said with widened eyes, open mouth. This thing, the creature, it walked towards the girls, lumbering forwards.
"Guys, I just remembered."
"What?"

"That thing has been here before. The bus accident." After that was mentioned, they all remembered. The creature then picked up speed and charged full bore in the middle of them. The girls ran out of the way in three different directions. The creature stopped and went after Setsuna as she ran down the street and through and alley. She ran quickly as the creature also ran rammed, slammed, and trampled on and through everything it came in contact with. She kicked a door into a office building open and slammed it shut behind her, the the creature plowed throught the door into a million splinters, and alot of the wall was dismantled with sheer brute stength. It's head smashed through celine tile and door frames in side the building. Setsuna quickly turned into every hallway getting herself a little further away. The creature slammed through another wall, and another wall. Setsuna made another turn and saw the front office door and ran as fast as she could just as the creature burst through another wall and followed her as before.
"Setsuna, get down!" She heard, and she dropped to the ground. Then a solid bright beam of light crashed throught the glass front doors and directly hit the creature in the upper shoulder and ripped upwards almost cleaving the arm off the body. Blood splashed backwards and covered the floor below it and the creature also fell backwards with an audible thud.
"Are you alright?" Venus asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you."
"Guys look!" Mercury anounced. They turned and saw the creature sitting up and holding it's cleaved arm, but it's wounded shoulder wasn't bleading as much. Then the wound was getting smaller. The wound closed and reattached muscle fibers, bone and skin closed and healed itself. Even the mangy fur on it's shoulder and back grew back. The wound heald and left no scar.
"You got to be kidding me." Jupiter said, and the creature looked up.
"Setsuna, transform. We'll keep it busy." She nodded as the creature was on it's feet and charged forward. The three scouts jumped back to the street, and it followed. They jumped high into the air as the creature leaped out to attack. Then it croutched down and with the strength in it's arms and legs it also jumped up following Venus. She landed on a fire escape, then the creature landed clutched on the wall with its claws. She jumped away again, and it followed again.
"Jupiter Oak Evolution!" The projectals hurled in a fury and slammed into the creature and twirled
it away from Venus. The creature twisted itself in the air and grabbed the wall, and began to climb the wall still in pursuit of Venus, as she made it to the next rooftop and ran. The creature then climbed to the rooftop and followed her, as both Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto jumped to the rooftop and followed the creature. Venus had a general idea of it's strength and had to remain out of it's reach, but so far the creature haden't displayed any powers other than it's strength. The Creature however was running just as fast, and it was running faster than before. Venus turned left and jumpped to the next rooftop, The creature made a wide left then jumped to the next roof, as the other three scouts followed after them.
"Is there a way we can slow this thing down?"
"All of us, at the same time." Mercury answered, and the other two agreed
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody !"
"Galactica Oak Evolution !"
"Dead Scream !"
All three attacks raced forward and hit the creature directly in the center of it's back, and made it stummble over it's two feet and roll on it's side. Then it got back up and continued running at full speed after Venus.
"It didn't work, why didn't it work?" Pluto asked, in a frustrated fit.
["Guys spreed out"] They heard Venus over the communicator, and jummped widley away. Venus made a long leap forward ahead of the creature and turned.
"Crescent Beam Shower! " The eyes of the creature widened seeing the many beams heading stright for him, then the many beams hit him, severial holes were ripped into it and dragging out streams of blood.
It stumbled, it rolled, it fell, then it stopped. Strange how this thing barely made any vocal sound, even with the way it was hurt now. The creature moved it's head in all unnatural directions and looked at the three scouts behind. One of it's large hand pushed itself from the ground as it's wounds were already healed, stood upright, and chraged full speed at the other three scouts. Mercury and Pluto jumped one way, but Jupiter went another way with the creature right behind her. Jupiter kicked open the first door she saw and ran upstairs as the creature rammed throught the wall. Jupiter leaped quickly at each stair platform as the creature moved it's mass throught the tight and narrow passages, but it was'nt even slowing down, it was running just as quick as it was outside. She reached the next platform, turned just to see the hand of the creature almost grab her leg. [Crash!!] The entire arm of the creature smashed throught the wall, but Jupiter jumped over the arm and continued upwards. The creature crawled throught the new hole in the wall and rampaged up the stairs. The other three scouts followed the creature through the hole as well. The creature stopped in it's tracks and turned just as the three scouts came around the platform. It lunged down with both arms forward. Venus lost her balance and fell backwards downstairs, Pluto and Mercury jumped up and landed on it's massive shoulder and leaped behind it. It looked up and behind him then turned and looked down and at Venus again.
"Hey, over here." Jupiter shouted. The creature looked at her, then a strange crunch sound they couldn't place, then it's arm came up and over throwing a peice of wall at them. It looked back down and charged after Venus. Jupiter jumped with an outstreched leg and kicked it in the back of it's head. Then it turned in one motion and it's clentched backfist hit Jupiter. She was sent flying through the wall of the building and remained airborne for at lest several seconds before she began to fall. She was falling faster, until Pluto dashed in, caught her, and landed on a fire escape. Pluto was out of breath from trying to keep up with Jupiter, she was knocked cold and didn't even know what was going on around her. Pluto reach for her communicator.
"GET OUT OF THERE, NOW!"
["PLUTO HELP US!!] Came Mercuary's paniced voice, screaming at the top of her lungs. Pluto took a last look at Jupiter, and leaped away. Mercury and Venus were running fast down a hall two floors up from the stairs. They found their attacks didn't work anymore on the creature. No matter how many time Venus could fire her cresent beam, the creature didn't stop. No matter how cold Mercury could frezze it , the creature shruged the ice away. The two scouts jumped out a open window and landed just outside a construction site. [THUMP!!] The creature also landed behind them and ran after them. The scouts leaped over the construction wall and ran through the machinery, bags of cement, and other objects. Venus and Mercury leaped up onto the steel beams of what would be the third floor and made several quick jumps. Then they could both feel the steel vibrating, no it was shaking. They looked down and the creature had rammed it claws into the foundation into the structure. The sound of twisting steel and riviots popping out were everywhere.
"It can't be that strong." As if it read her mind and to prove her wrong, the creature jerked the steel beam up and pulled back on it, tearing it away from the ground and away from several levels.
"That has to weigh at lest twelve tons." Then the creature grabbed the bottom of the beam and threw it at the two scouts. They dodged it but saw the steel beam land three block away. The creature moved to the next courner beam on the ground as Venus also saw something else.
"I got an idea, can you get him to move there?" She pointed to a spot to Mercury. It wasn't far and just about fifteen feet to its side.
"Yeah." Mercury leaped down, and oh yes the creature noticed. It charged after her, untill she leaped away. Then there was a clanging sound everywhere, and it was getting louder. The creature looked up. [CRASH!!!!!!!!!] Over fourty steel I-beams crashed on top of the creature. Pluto arrived seconds later.
"What's going on?" Pluto asked
"I think we killed it." Venus answered.
"How's Jupiter?" Then in a single upheaving movement, the pile of steel clattered and out came the creature again. Its head was severaly damaged and broken, and it was also healing itself. It's body snapped and popped as bones, muscle and wounds healed on their own. In seconds it was done.
"Uh-oh."
"Dead Scream." The creature reach out and grabbed the energy ball.
"Oh-no." The creature clentched its fist and the ball exploded harmlessly.
"Guys, we need to leave, NOW!" Venus was already running, followed by the other two. The creature ran after them again. While running through the semi-crowded streets, the creature grabbed a car by the front tire, and threw it ahead of the three scouts. Venus and Pluto went in one direction, and Mercury went another direction. The creature charged after Mercury as it grabbed another car and hurled it straight at her knocking her down. Then it grabbed her from off the ground with its left hand and shoved her into a wall. Its right hand reared back and three of it fingers stabbed her deep in her stomach. Her eyes widened, she couldn't breath, she couldn't scream, blood ran down it's fingers over its wrist and was soaking the hair on its arm.
"NO!!" Venus screamed, horrified about her friend. Her outstreched hand immeditly fired a large energy beam, and compleatly severed the arm of the creature at the bicep. The creature looked at its severed limb, with a sort of puzzlement. As if he was thinking 'where'd my arm go?'
"GET AWAY FROM HER!!" Venus fired another powerful shot and it ripped into its chest, and knocked it backwards. It stood back up again even with its wound and took a few steps forward, then it stopped. It turned around and started walking away, with Venus still behind it.
"Get back here Venus." But she didn't hear her, and followed the creature into alley ways. The creature looked back and saw Venus. It still kept running away, and rolled a large dumpster in the way then smashed through a wall. Venus jumped over the dumpster and turned into the hole in the wall that lead into a bakery. She looked both ways, and made a dash for the front door. She looked one way, then the other way, then above her.
(Where is it?) She walked back in the bakery.
"Did anyone see a monster with one arm come running through here?" She asked the few people eating
their deserts. But they shook their head, a couple others shruged their shoulders.
"Where'd it go?" The Creature was gone without a trace. She would've given anything to find the creature to finish it off, but her friend Ami was in danger, and she needed to help her, FAST.
