Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ The Price of Love ❯ Chapter 4 ( Chapter 4 )
Haruka glanced at Ren. He was stubborn, even when he was exhausted he wouldn't rest. They've been walking for two days now and they were closer to the end of the woods but they still had a long way to go.
"Why don't we rest?" Haruka yawned. She was tried.
"Maybe we could go for another mile or so," Ren muttered sleepily. He slumped to the ground instantly asleep.
"Figures" Haruka sat down with her back against a tree. She hated when this happens. Just as she was about to go to sleep she couldn't. It's like when you know you're tired but when you tried to sleep, it wouldn't come. Beside, something else was bothering her. It was Ren. There was something about him that drew her interest. Sure, he was handsome, but that wasn't it. She had seen hundreds of cute guys, even though she preferred women. But there was something about him…maybe she was thinking about this too long. Haruka closed her eyes warily.

Setsuna smiled as they rested for the night. Just watching Nephrite was like watching a river. He was swift and sure of his movement as he made the fire. He would make an excellent general. She glanced up at the stars as they tinkled. They were so beautiful, especially in the woods at night.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" she asked.
"Quite" she was a bit surprised to feel him lying down next to her.
"I love the stars" he mummer as he looked up. "I loved her too"
"What was her name?" Setsuna asked softly. He talked often about the close friend he had lost. She couldn't help detect a note of wistfulness in his voice. Maybe he loved her as more than a close friend.
"Libra" he said softly.
"Were you in love with her?"
"Yes, but I never told her"
"Why is that?"
"I was too afraid" he closed his eyes. "And she was in love with somebody else." Nothing else was said again as they lay there silently, drifting off to sleep.

Hotaru smiled as Jadeite struggled to make a fire. She giggled a bit. He was doing it the cave man style where you rubbed two sticks together. She glanced up at the moon. It was a beautiful ore that she loved watching. Her mind quickly wondered to the Princess whom she was sworn, as a duty, to protect. Princess Mina of Venus. If Queen Serenity had a child than he/she would have been heir to the moon kingdom but since she didn't… the next heir for the throne was the Venus beauty. She would give her life to save Mina, not because she was heir but because she was her friend. Still…she couldn't help but think about the possibility if Queen Serenity had a child, what would they look like? She glanced over at Jadeite and smirked. If she didn't do something fast he was going to burn off his arm.

Michiru tried to sleep but it wouldn't come. She hated that. Sighing, she got up and headed towards the river. The bubbling sounds, she came too, sooth her aching soul. Her Parents wanted her to marry some foreign Prince of some crappy planet, she's never heard off. Of course, she was willing to do anything for her planet. Anything but marry him. She shuddered a bit at the thought of the perverted prince she had met. At first she wanted to laugh as he walked macho down the ramp. His zillions of zits all spread out. He was polite when he met her but he had the nerve to make a move on her when they were alone. He was luckily he got away with only a broken arm. Her parents tried to convince her that she was mistaken, that his hand just happened to land on her rear-end. Michiru tried not to grimaced. Why couldn't he be more like Zoisite? Now, that was a gentleman. Her green eyes grew wide. Where did that thought just come from?!!!
