True Love is Not Cliche: Mirai Trunks and Mina

Part 6: A Bit of Normalcy, Just a Bit!

They arrived at Kame's palace. Mr. Popo was very excited about having Dende to keep him company. Dende proceeded in creating a set of dragon balls for the earth. The gang waited patiently for Dende to finish. Dende finished the ritual and the once gray rocks were now seven orange starred balls. "So Dende, are these dragon balls different from the original ones?" asked Goku. "Yes, these dragon balls allow two wishes, and will wish someone back more than once as long as they did not die of natural causes. They can also wish more than one person back at a time." said Dende. "Well, let's summon the dragon and wish back some old friends," said Goku. The sky grew dark and stormy as they summoned the dragon. "I have been summoned, I will grant two wishes within my power. What are your wishes?" bellowed the dragon. "Dragon, we want to wish back Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chaotzu, Piccolo and ChiChi (just say ChiChi died soon after Gohan did)," wished Goku. The dragon's eyes glowed and Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chaotzu, Piccolo and ChiChi appeared in front of them. Everyone was preoccupied with greeting their old friends, so Vegeta stepped forward. "Dragon, I wish to make my mate, and Kakarot's mate were the age they were the day the androids arrived, and that both as well as my son's mate age like saiyans," wished Vegeta. Everyone stood shocked as they witnessed Vegeta doing something selfless. The dragon's eyes glowed. Bulma and ChiChi were now twenty years younger, and Mina felt a tingle run through her body. The initial shock wore off and Goku teleported everyone back to CC. Bulma and ChiChi immediately joined forces in the kitchen to cook a feast for seven humans, two demi-saiyans, and two full-blooded saiyans. They devoured the feast and began to catch up on lost time. Trunks told them all about his trip to the past and how he had finally defeated the androids and Cell. Then he explained how he met Mina, and that she was part of a group of fighters that protected earth in another dimension. "Wow Trunks, you're so young, yet you've seen a lot pa," said Krillin. "Yeah, but everything's okay now. You guys are all back, and I'm getting married!" exclaimed Trunks. "Speaking of weddings, ChiChi and I are going to borrow Mina for a while. We have so many bridal books; we need to get to work on this puppy," said Bulma. Mina jumped up excitedly and ran after Bulma and ChiChi anxious about planning her wedding. Trunks laughed happily as he watched Mina looking at the books. She looked like a child in a candy store. After twenty years, life on earth was finally returning to normal.

"Lady Arctica, we are on course for the planet Earth. We should arrive on earth in approximately two weeks," reported Zarba. "Thank you Zarba, that will be all," Arctica commanded, as Zarba left Arctica's chamber. The evil white alien swirled her red wine in her glass and sipped at it. "Your time is coming prince. I will humiliate you and the saiyan race, and then you will be my slave and truly know the meaning of suffering," she said laughing evilly. Her laugh made her entire crew cower in fear. Lady Arctica was ten times more terrifying than king Cold or Frieza ever was. Everyone knew the female changeling was far stronger than her father or either of her brother's. She was not known for dominating the universe like her father and brother, but known to be the cruelest being ever. She showed no mercy. She would torture her victims and slaves relentlessly, never granting them death, only agonizing pain. Her victims wished for death, but it never came easy or soon for that matter. Her crew actually pitted those she had a vendetta against, because of the torture that was to come to them. Planet earth would no longer be once Lady Arctica was done with it.

Plans for the wedding were under way. Trunks and Mina had decided to have the wedding in three weeks. Trunks had chose Gohan as his best man, and Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien as his groomsmen (Piccolo refused to wear a tux). Mina had contacted Pluto and the scouts were coming today. Mina had chosen Serena as her maid of honor, and Lita, Rei, and Michele as her bridesmaids. Rini was going to be the flower girl, while Hotaru helped her throw petals and carry the rings. Amara and Ami were going to help escort the family, since Goku would be walking Mina down the aisle. The bridesmaid dresses were a sunset pink with a cast of tropical orange in them, and the groomsmen tuxes were a dark gray with bow ties and sashes to match the dresses. Mina's dress was sleeveless with a low cut heart shaped collar. The dress was white and long with a beautiful glittered train. The dress itself also glittered. Trunks' tux was black (*drool* Trunks looks so good in black! sorry back to the story) with a royal blue bow tie and sash. Amara, Ami, Hotaru, and Rini also wore dresses like the bridesmaids, and Vegeta, Goku, and Darien wore tuxes like the groomsmen.

"Woman! I will not wear those garments!" Screamed Vegeta. "Oh yes you are Mr.! Or you can just sleep on the couch for the next week!" Bulma shouted back. "Grrrr... humph, fine, damn woman," muttered Vegeta.

"I am not wearing a dress! I will wear a tux, but never that awful dress!" shouted Amara. "Now Amara, you will wear it. This is Mina's wedding, and you are going to stop being so childish. What kind of example are you setting for Hotaru?" scolded Michele. "Grrrr.. fine, I'll wear the damn dress." mumbled Amara. "Wow Amara, are you sure you're not related to Vegeta?" asked Bulma. This made everyone laugh and Amara grumble various curse words under her breath.

Mina came out of the room giggling and nearly ran in to Trunks who was coming out of the room his father was in. "Oh sorry honey," she said. "Don't be sorry, I love running into you. Having problems with Amara?" he asked. "Yeah, she doesn't like dresses. How's Vegeta doing?" she asked. "Dad hates wearing tuxes, but mom threatened to make him sleep on the couch so he's putting up with it," he replied. They both laughed. "This wedding stuff is really stressful," said Mina. "Yeah, hey lets get out of here for a while. We can go for a fly," he said. Mina loved the thrill of flying. "You know your mother's going to kill us." stated Mina. "I know, but it's all worth the time alone we'll have," he replied. "Okay, let's go!" said Mina. Trunks swooped her up in his arms and took off into the sky. Bulma saw them. "Hey! Get back here you two!" she yelled but to no avail.

Trunks flew them to a small beach. They landed on the sand and sat down to gaze at the stars in the clear night sky. "Hey Trunks, how come I have never seen the moon here?" asked Mina. Trunks chuckled. Piccolo blew it up when Gohan was like five. You see saiyans are born with tails and we transform into giant apes at the sight of the full moon. Gohan transformed when Piccolo was training him. Gohan didn't know how to control it, so he was very destructive. Piccolo cut Gohan's tail off, and my father's was cut off when he came to earth trying to conquer it. Goku had his cut off when he was a little boy, and mom had mine removed after I was born," explained Trunks. "Wow, don't let Serena know that Piccolo blew up the moon here, she Lunarian, and she'll probably over react and start crying," laughed Mina. Trunks laughed too as he imagined Serena gone ape. They stopped and gazed into each other's eyes. "I love you Mina," he replied. "I love you too," she replied as their lips met. They laid down on the sand holding each other as they continued to kiss. They laid in the sand talking and enjoying each other's closeness for a few hours before finally flying back to CC. They crept inside quietly. "You know, if you two plan to get married in two weeks then you better stop skipping out at night, and help with all this planning!" shouted an angry Bulma. "Sorry mom" replied Trunks. "Yeah, we're sorry Bulma," said Mina. Bulma accepted their apology and they all called it a night. Vegeta was very relieved that Bulma didn't make him sleep on the couch.

Two weeks passed and wedding plans were finalized. Mina and Trunks decided to spend their honeymoon in Hawaii. The wedding was now a week away. Everyone woke up to a normal morning. Vegeta hogged the gravity room and broke it. Then he and Bulma had their daily shouting match about anything from fixing the gravity room to whether Jiffy is better than Skippy. The day seemed to be turning out to be one of those normal days until a strong power level approaching earth stopped everyone in their tracks.

Goku and Gohan were just finishing breakfast when they felt the power level. "What could it be dad?" asked Gohan "I don't know Gohan, but whatever it is, it's evil and it's strong," replied Goku.

Everyone was relaxing in the backyard at CC. Suddenly Trunks shot upright and went into defensive crouch. His eyes began darting around the sky. All the scouts stared at him bewildered by his behavior. Mina knew something was wrong by his behavior. "Trunks, what's wrong?" she asked. Before he could answer, they all heard an explosion come from the gravity room. Vegeta had blown the door off and ran out. He saw that his son felt it too. The power was incredible and familiar to Vegeta, but he couldn't place where he had felt such a power before.

At that moment Goku and Gohan arrived. Goku saw that they had also sensed it. "There's a really strong power approaching the planet, but I can't be sure just how powerful," said Goku in a serious tone. "It's as strong as perfect Cell, maybe stronger!" seethed Trunks. The others assumed that this was something Trunks had seen in the past. "The ship is going to land on the outskirts of west capital," said Vegeta. "All right then, let's go" said Goku. "Mina I want you and the scouts to stay here" said Trunks. "But Trunks, we can help you! With all of us, we can surely beat whoever this is," said Mina with determination. "All right, I guess you're right," said Trunks. "Of course I am," replied Mina, which made Trunks and the others sweat drop. The scouts transformed and Goku teleported everyone to the spot where the intruding ship was to touch down.
