True Love is Not Cliche: Mirai Trunks and Mina

Part 7: Lady Arctica

A large space vessel, which looked much like the one Frieza and Cold had traveled to earth in almost 23 years ago. Suddenly Vegeta knew who was coming. "That ship looks like Frieza's," said Trunks. "Now I recognize the power, it's Arctica, Frieza's sister!" exclaimed Vegeta. "Frieza has a sister too!?" asked Goku. "What does she want? Arctica doesn't purge planets like Frieza and Cold did. No, she must want something else," said Vegeta. "What does she do Vegeta?" asked Gohan. "Arctica is known for her cruelty. She loves to fight and torture her victims. A lot of times, she takes slaves that she *likes* with her. They are tortured, beaten, raped, and anything else she can do to make them suffer. Seeing pain is the most pleasurable thing to her. She doesn't allow a warrior an honorable death, but rather a humiliating one when she finally tires of them," said Vegeta. "Man, sounds like a real bitch," said Gohan.

The door on the ship hissed and smoked as it opened. About a dozen fighters wearing saiyan armor piled out. Next, a fighter that resembled a female Zarbon came out. And finally Arctica stepped out. She was a little taller than Frieza, and had a white tale and body. She also wore saiyan armor, and looked a lot like Frieza only more feminine (just think of Frieza when he first arrived on Namek). "Arctica, still as ugly as your brother!" smirked Vegeta. "Prince Vegeta, or should I say King Vegeta. I thought you were dead, killed by some androids?" she inquired. "Well, I'm back, now I'd like to know why you're here and what the hell you want?" sneered Vegeta. Arctica smirked. "I suppose I could share that tidbit with you before I take what I want. I am not the Arctica from this time line. My scientists have worked for the past two years on a dimension-crossing machine. I traveled here to get revenge on the one that killed my father and my brother. Your son Trunks, the prince of saiyans," she explained pointing at Trunks. Trunks glared at her and took fighting crouch. She laughed evilly. "Soldiers! Take care of these weaklings. Zarba, you may fight Vegeta if you like, but Prince Trunks is mine," she said. Trunks turned to Gohan "Watch out for Mina for me Gohan," Trunks told him. Gohan nodded. "Be careful Tru!" Mina called. Trunks smiled and winked at her before turning back to Arctica. "I am going to enjoy making you my slave Trunks," smirked Arctica. "You'll have to defeat me first," Trunks smirked back. Trunks faced off against Arctica and the battle began.

"Vegeta, I believe you and I have a score to settle. You killed my father Zarbon," said Zarba. "That weakling Zarbon was your father?" laughed Vegeta. Zarba growled and launched herself at Vegeta. The other dozen fighters began fighting the scouts, Goku, and Gohan.

Trunks matched all of Arctica's punches. "You're pretty good, but not good enough!" she commented as she sped up and began to pummel Trunks from all directions. Trunks cried out as he transformed into super saiyan level 1. Arctica watched in awe as he powered up even more. Trunks summoned more power and pushed his power to level 2. His hair spiked up a little more and grew slightly longer. The power up shredded his blue capsule corp. jacket leaving him in his black tank top and black pants. (you know the one he wears when he kills the androids, and looks so hot in) "So this is a super saiyan, I must say I am impressed, but it won't help you any," said Arctica. "We'll see," replied Trunks as he launched himself at the female changeling.

Vegeta was surprised at how strong Zarba was. He was going to have to upgrade to super saiyan. Vegeta called out as he summoned his super saiyan power. Vegeta transformed and lunged at Zarba. Vegeta relentlessly punched and kicked at Zarba. Zarba began to slow and Vegeta quickly began to gain the upper hand.

Goku and Gohan fought the two strongest soldiers while the scouts took on the rest. The two strongest soldiers did not last long once Goku and Gohan turned super saiyan. The scouts took care of the other soldiers, and soon only Zarba and Arctica remained.

Trunks was managing well so far with Arctica. They were matching each others blows, and Trunks was landing quite a few. He began to worry when some of his strongest punches didn't seem to do any damage. Arctica soon stopped in front of him. "I suppose you are wondering why you aren't inflicting any damage on me. It's because I am only at 50% of my full power." she said. 'No way, only 50%! She had to be bluffing,' thought Trunks. Arctica began to power up into her maximum form.

Vegeta sensed Arctica power up and knew his son would need help and decided to end the fight. "Time for you to join your father. FINAL FLASH!" called Vegeta. Zarba was hit full force with the blast and completely obliterated.

Trunks knew that they were in trouble. Arctica was more powerful than perfect Cell. She finished her power up. She didn't really change appearance, but just bulked up slightly. Trunks stood his ground, and waited for her to make the first move. She blurred, leaving Trunks searching for her with his senses. She reappeared behind him and punched him square in the back. He quickly recovered and launched at her. Trunks relentlessly punched at her, but none of them connected. She dodged all of his and began her offense. Trunks was soon being pummeled. Mina watched in horror as her love was beaten mercilessly. Arctica punched him hard sending him into the ground. Trunks created a crater from the impact. He lay on his stomach struggling to get up. He was smashed back to the ground when he felt a foot on his back. "Give up prince and make this easier on yourself," "Never" Trunks choked out. Arctica used her foot to flip him over on his back. She began stomping on his chest. Trunks clenched his teeth in pain and yelled out as he felt his rib cage cracking. Arctica laughed as she picked him up by the shirt and held him in front of her. "You are pathetic for a saiyan prince," she sneered. Trunks coughed up blood and purposely in her face. Arctica wiped it off and growled as she kneed him in the stomach and dropped him to the ground. She then resumed kicking him. Gohan held Mina back. She was in tears, and wanted to help him. "No Mina, you can't," said Gohan sternly. "Gohan! help him!" she cried. Gohan didn't respond and looked back at the fight. He knew Vegeta would want to be the first to intervene.

Trunks fell out of super saiyan as his eyes returned to blue, and his hair fell back into it's lank lilac style. "You're too weak to fight me now. You are mine now. You will watch as I kill your friends and loved ones, before you leave this planet with me," she told him. With that she threw him up against her ship and blasted a few ki-restraining rings that bound him to the ship at his wrists, ankles, and neck. Trunks struggled to break them, but couldn't. "Now for all of you," she said.

"So who want to die first?" asked Arctica. "You will fight me, the others are only here to witness your annihilation at the hands of a true saiyan warrior," smirked Vegeta. Goku and Gohan sighed. Vegeta's ego was going to get in trouble once again, but they said nothing. "Ooh, a fight with the almighty king of saiyans, I should be trembling," she said sarcastically. Vegeta's blood boiled as he launched towards here. The fight was a blur and only Goku and Gohan were able to keep up. Mina was able to sense some of the fight since Trunks had started teaching her how. Mina looked at Trunks. Arctica was occupied with Vegeta, so she crept over to him, hoping that Arctica wouldn't notice her. Gohan was busy watching the fight so he didn't notice Mina sneak away either.

Vegeta wasn't having much luck against the tyrant. It felt like the time that he fought Frieza on Namek. Arctica was simply toying with him, like Frieza had. Vegeta remembered all too clearly the outcome of that battle. Arctica surprised Vegeta with a large ki blast that sent him into the ground creating another crater. Arctica approached Vegeta for the kill when something caught her eye.

Mina reached Trunks. She gently stroked his face with the back of her hand. Trunks looked up. His vision was blurred, but he could see her. "Mina?" he asked. "It's okay Trunks, we'll find a way to get these chains off," she replied confidently. "Mina, I want you to get out of here. We can't beat her Mina, and I don't want you getting hurt," he rasped. "No way Trunks! I'm not leaving you. My life was a wreck before I met you, and it's not worth living without you," she cried as tears began to stream down her face. "Mina please, just get out of here, do it for me, please," he pleaded.

Arctica saw the girl over by Trunks. An evil smirk appeared on her face. She watched at Mina like a tiger watching her prey. She forgot about Vegeta and started to approach Trunks and Mina.

Mina hugged Trunks not wanting to let go. Soon a shadow loomed above them. Mina looked up only to see Arctica. Mina gasped. "Well, what do we have here, trying to save the prince little girl?" she asked rhetorically. Mina was at a loss for words. "I'm afraid I cannot allow you to free him, you see he belongs to me," she said calmly. "Trunks doesn't belong to you, you sick bitch!" Mina yelled. Arctica snarled. She reached out and grabbed Mina hauling her off her feet. "Mina! No, leave her alone!" cried Trunks who was desperately trying to break his restraints. Arctica looked at him and then back at Mina. "Looks like I found his weakness," laughed Arctica. Mina struggled in her tight grip, but to no avail. Arctica threw her small form to the ground. Arctica then flew up into the sky and began to gather energy for an attack. She readied the attack and made sure Trunks was watching. She unleashed the blue sphere of energy straight at Mina. Mina watched the attack come at her in horror. She was to frozen with fear to move, but something told her she couldn't let the blast hit her head on. Mina managed to move aside slightly, but was still hit with the crackling energy. Mina screamed out as she felt the energy tear through her body. Arctica laughed out of satisfaction. The others could only watch in horror. Trunks' eyes were now wide open in horror and his body trembled and racked wanting him to give into his tears. The smoke cleared to reveal a battered and unconscious Mina. Trunks could no longer hold it in. Tears began to stream from his eyes. His anger and rage peaked as he looked at the tyrant that had done this. Trunks screamed an agonizing scream that caught everyone's attention. His power level began to rise again and his hair stirred. The restraints on his wrists, ankles, and neck snapped open as if they were nothing. Trunks transformed into super saiyan. His power level kept rising and he was soon in level 2. Arctica began to worry when his power continued to rise rapidly even after his transformation to level 2. Trunks clenched his teeth as he felt the new power pulsating through his body. Trunks screamed out as he let the power take control of his body. He could feel his hair growing long, and his muscles growing larger. He exploded in blinding gold light. The others stood in awe as they witnessed Trunks' transformation. The light subsided and Trunks stood inside a fiery golden aura. His hair was now down to his waist, and his muscles were bigger, though his speed had also increased. He calmly walked over to Mina. He picked her up and cradled her in his arms. He felt her neck, and sensed a very faint pulse. She was alive, but barely. "Goku, please take Mina to Korin's tower and get her a senzu bean. If Korin doesn't have any, then please take her to my mother. She can put her in the regeneration tank. Please hurry, she doesn't have much time," said Trunks in a very calm voice. "Don't worry Trunks, Mina will be fine. You concentrate on beating that monster," said Goku as he took Mina from Trunks and teleported away. Trunks' calm attitude disappeared after that as he turned and glared at Arctica with malice in his eyes. "You will pay for hurting her," he stated. "humph, I guess I touched a tender spot, no matter, this little transformation of yours won't make any difference," replied Arctica. "You underestimate the power of a super saiyan and that will cost you dearly," yelled Trunks. Arctica and Trunks faced off again, only this time Trunks was fully powered up in super saiyan level 3.
