Bakunetsumaru strained to see in the dark forest, but couldn't see past any of the trees. He had one of his swords drawn, ready to attack at the slightest sign of danger. He wanted to just get his answers and leave as soon as possible. He wasn't in the mood to play games tonight.

" Bakunetsumaru, thank you for coming…" Bakunetsumaru jumped, drawing out his other sword. He looked around frantically.

" Okay, come out!! I'm not in the mood to play tonight!" Baku warned.

" That's a shame, but the master says that if it is what you wish, you shall get it." A shadow seemed to have formed in front of him. He flinched, but stood his ground. Since there was moonlight and stars, Baku was able to have a better look at him. Unfortunately, Drain was covered head to toe in a cloak. And his face was shadowed.

" The master has asked for me to retrieve you," Drain stated. " Come with me." He then glided like fluid into the forest. Baku hesitated to follow him.

Drain stopped short of the thicket of trees. " What seems to be the problem?" he asked.

" …Why does your master wish to meet me? Who is he?" Drain chuckled.

" You shall see….please, follow me. No harm shall come to you."

Baku took a breath. He sheathed his left sword, but kept his right out for insurance. " Fine…let's go."

Drain gave a slight nod, then continued on his way into the forest. Baku took a glance at the ocean as it glistened in the moonlight, then followed Drain.

Baku gazed at the carriage that was in front of them. It was the same one he saw the other night, with the same coal black horses. Baku walked up to one of the horses, and stroked its neck. It gave a snort of approval, nuzzling his chest.

Drain stood at a distance. " Master, I have brought the samurai," he announced. Baku froze; the master was inside the carriage. He stepped away from the horse, much to its disapproval of not being petted anymore.

The door of the carriage opened quietly, and someone stepped out of the carriage gracefully. They were also wearing a cloak that covered their being. Both this master and Drain were around Baku's height, so he figured they were more than likely mechas.

" Who are you?" Baku demanded. Holding his sword tightly. " And what do you want with me?" The master said nothing, but tilted their head slightly towards Drain.

" The master shall not reveal his name just yet," Drain spoke for the other mecha. " But he wishes for you to do something for him." Baku blinked.

" What?" There was a pause of silence.

" Give him the body of the third murdered woman." Baku's eyes widened in confusion.

" What?!"

" Come now, do not play dumb. We know you have heard of the killings by now."

" Yeah…" Baku swallowed. " But…why do you want it?"

" We have our reasons…"

" Well, why me?"

" Because, you are the only one that the master trusts with this." Gee, what confidence. " Well, I won't do it!" Baku stated.

The master tilted his head back towards Bakunetsumaru, and looked at him for a few moments. Drain spoke again, " You will do It, if you ever wish to see your beloved Zero the Winged Knight ever again."

Baku's eyes widened as his grip slightly loosened in his sword in shock. " W..what?"

" The master has the power to grant life to your deceased lover. Now, will you do us this favor?"

Bakunetsumaru couldn't believe it. All he had to do was give them a dead girl and they'd resurrect Zero? " How do I know you're not trying to pull a fast one on me?" he asked suspiciously.

The master gave a slight nod towards Drain. " The master shall give you Zero before you hand us the girl in a trade. You have two days to acquire the dead woman, then you shall meet us here. And we shall have Zero with us…"

Baku still thought it was still funny. But, the thought of being close to Zero again, the soft breath upon his neck…

" Fine," Baku agreed, though he sounded very unsure of himself. " I-I'll do it…ONLY if I get Zero…" Baku couldn't believe he was doing this. All the morals he's been told go against trade like this, but his heart was aching for the chance to be with Zero again; to start over.

The Master gave a slight bow, then went back into the carriage. " The master is pleased you have accepted."

Bakunetsumaru was starting to think that these guys were in some sort of mafia by the way Drain talked about `the master'. It was like the godfather or something.

" You will not be disappointed…." Drain then went up to the carriage door, then paused. " Remember, two days from now, at this spot." He then vanished into the carriage. The horses neighed as they were getting ready to head out. Baku didn't notice that there was a person that was driving the horses until just now. He was also cloaked. Damn, what was it with these people and cloaks? Were they in a cult?

The person gave a slight tug on their reins, and the horses galloped off. Baku stood there, watching the carriage leave until it was out of sight. He then sheathed his right sword.

" God…what am I getting myself into?" he asked himself in disbelief at what he just agreed to. How was he going to get that body anyway? He shook his head. Think of Zero…think of being with him again….

But it still didn't help shake the feeling of worry from Baku, it did make him feel determined to get this done and over with, though.

" Zero….I'll finally see you again…and we can start over…" He looked up at the stars. " …I hope…"
