Moonlight Cliff Diving Expedition
There in front of me stood those pesky X-LAWS and their leader Jeanne (back in her can where she belongs). The face of the Iron Maiden opened and Jeanne began her sermon. “Ivy, please reconsider. You must join us if you ever wish to be truly free of Hao. It is the only way. I'm giving you one last chance at salvation before we must destroy you.”

(long frustrated sigh) “Look, Jeanne. I want to be rid of Hao. I never want to see him again. If I do join you and your band of yahoos I'll see him every single day for the remainder of my life! That's not what I want out of life. I want freedom! I want friends! I-I…I…I should have stayed with Yoh…I'm going back to him right now!” I walked up to the front line of X-LAWS and tried to push them out of the way, but they wouldn't be moved.

Marco broke through the line and came up to me, starring me down. “You aren't going anywhere unless Jeanne-sama says so.”

“Oh yeah?” I challenged.

“Oh yeah.” He pointed his gun right up against the flesh of my forehead and started advancing on me, forcing me back with his gun. I stopped when I felt my foot fall on thin air. I had reached the edge of the cliff, and the end of my life.

“Leave her alone, Marco!” A familiar voice called out.

I have never been happier to see someone in my entire life. “Yoh!” I excitedly shouted like a giddy schoolgirl.

“Why should I let a faithful servant of Hao escape?! Answer me that! She is evil! Can't you see that?! Or has she already contaminated you with her poison too?” Marco challenged Yoh.

“No.” Yoh replied. “She's not evil. She may act cold and heartless, but she's just misunderstood! Let her go, all she needs is a second chance. I'm begging you; spare her. I swear she's no servant of Hao's!”

“Yoh's right.” A smooth melodic voice that sent shivers down my spine joined the conversation. “She's not just my servant; she's my fiancée.”

Everyone on the cliff-top fell silent as we noticed the new arrival, Hao floating in mid air on the left side of the cliff.

“HAO!!” Everyone said in unison.

“Hello, everyone!” Hao smiled brightly as he waved to us. Hao slowly descended to the ground beside Marco and me. “Ivy…” The sound of his voice was soft and deep as he said my name. Lust burned brightly in his eyes.

I was so scared that I actually think I stepped closer to Marco and his now friendly looking pistol. I would have fainted if I hadn't been too scared to move. I just starred at Hao like a dear caught in the headlights.

A horrified scream of pain woke me from my stupor. Upon waking, I realized the gun was no longer pointed to my head, and Marco was now on the ground writhing in pain. The gun lay on the ground beside Marco with its handle and a fourth the way up the barrel melted off. I looked at Hao, and saw that it was he who melted the gun that burnt Marco.

I slowly backed away along the cliff ledge as he sauntered toward me. I really had nowhere to go; I was trapped. He stopped two feet in front of me and we starred each other down. Him smirking down at me (remember, he's an inch or so taller than me), and me glaring.

Still smirking like the madman he was, Hao stepped a foot closer, closing the gap fast.

“What do you want, bastard?!” I growled at him, breaking the silence.

“This.” *Wink*

That totally broke my guard. I blinked, surprised by his answer. `This what?' I opened my mouth to ask him, but was interrupted when he grabbed me around the waist and pulled me into a kiss. He took advantage of my momentary surprise (and the fact that I had my mouth wide open) and stuck his tongue halfway down my throat.

I was struck dumb. His actions had caught me by such surprise that I didn't even fight back. I even went so far as to place my arms around his neck and slightly respond to the kiss. It was then that I caught myself. I pushed away from him with such force that I fell to the ground.

I jumped to my feet. “Bastard!” I screeched like a harpy at him as I punched him in the face. I didn't stop there; oh no. I beat him like a punching bag until he restrained me by seizing both my wrists in one hand.

“Come now, Ivy.” He crooned. “We both know how you feel about me. You're a teenage girl; it's only natural to feel this way.” His free hand ventured around my waist and started playing with my skirt's zipper in back. Pulling it downwards.

He was so dead. “Yes. We do both know how I feel: the same as any other girl would in my position. UNDENIABLE RAGE AND EXTREME HATE!!!” I brought up my left leg and side kicked him in the stomach. The force of the kick sent him doubling over in pain, but it also had a negative affect for me. I was knocked off balance and fell head first over the cliff.
