Broken
Yoh was wide-awake now. “Wait what?! Anna this is not funny, please tell me you're joking!” He begged, grabbing me by the shoulders.

I shook my head slowly, “No, Yoh. Ivy's gone, and she's not coming back. I'm so sorry.” I rested my hand on his cheek, and looked sorrowfully into his eyes, pretending that this hurt me as much as it hurt him.

“I-I see.” His voice wavered as he fought back tears. “Well then…I guess you were right…she is a runaway bride…you were right…” Yoh couldn't suppress the tears any longer and soon small streaks of brine were streaming down his cheeks.

“Oh, Yoh…” I tried to look sympathetic. “I'm so sorry. I'm here for you though.” I stressed `I'm'.

He choked a little on his tears as he nearly squashed me in a tight embrace. He needed a shoulder to cry on, and I was immensely enjoying being it.

I returned his embrace, and rubbed my hands up and down his back. “Shhhhh. Everything's going to be alright. I'm here for you Yoh, and I'll never leave you.” I moved even closer up against him, kneeling in between his legs.

“I was afraid she'd hurt you like this…my poor gullible Yoh…she really threw you for a loop, didn't she?” I gently nuzzled him, and played with his hair as he cried his broken heart out. I felt a bit guilty, seeing as I was the one who hurt him by taking his little plaything away, but he'd get over it. I would make sure of that.

“She tricked me…she lied!” Yoh wailed. “She never loved me at all…I've been a fool for her this entire time, and she was only playing with me! I can't believe I could have been taken so easily…”

“It's okay…you had never been in love before. Now you see how I felt. It's not fun having your heart ripped out of your chest and stopped on…” I held him to me tighter.

“Anna?” Yoh whimpered.

“Yes?” I whispered back.

“I'm sorry…I was wrong, and I never should have broken the engagement…will you take me back? I've learned my lesson…” He pulled back to look me in the eye. As I looked him over, I noticed how dead he looked. He needed someone, and it looked like I was going to be it.

I gently pushed him down against the bed, and lay on top of him. “Yes.” I placed a light kiss on his lips and fell asleep in his arms.

Yoh lay there awhile after I had fallen asleep. If I had used my mind reading powers on him I would have heard, `I don't love you Anna, I probably never will, but I need someone to just lean on right now…You look a lot like your sister, and that doesn't help…Ivy…I love her. I'm in way over my head for her…I'm not mad at her for what she did…It would be hard for me too if I suddenly got involved with my evil fiancée's twin…actually I kind of did suddenly get involved with my fiancée's twin, but Anna's not evil…what does it matter anyway…Ivy's gone, I'll be pining after her for the rest of my life, but at least I have friends…I wonder where she is though…she didn't take anything, and I'm worried about her…where is she going to sleep? Who is she going to sleep with, for that matter? No. Ivy's not like that…she only pretends to be…Oh, Ivy! Where are you?!'

“She's beautiful; isn't she Opacho?” I asked the small child next to me.

“Opacho agrees, but fails to see why the energy chains are necessary.” He responded.

I had teleported Ivy back to my tent where Opacho was waiting for us. I had bound her to me with my furyoku, so that she could not go outside the boundary of fifteen feet from me. The `energy chains', as Opacho called them, could be lengthened and shortened at my will. It was quite ingenious if I do say so myself.

“Well, Opacho, Ivy keeps running away, so I devised this little furyoku contraption to keep her as close or far away as I choose.” I laid Ivy on my bed and slipped off her shoes and socks.

“Oh. Opacho sees. Does Hao really think taking Mistress Ivy back this way is necessarily the best way to handle the situation? Won't she be super mad when she wakes up?”

“Hehehe…Oh, she'll be mad alright…” I licked my lips as I thought of her glaring at me, threatening a knuckle sandwich. The skin on skin contact between us was exhilarating even if she meant to hurt me. I loved when she yelled, the hair on the back of her neck standing on end, bristling. I knew that I made her nervous and jumpy; knowing I held that power over her was immensely satisfying. Ivy truly was at her best when she was angry.

“Uh…Hao?” Opacho waved his hand in front of my face, trying to get my attention.

I was a bit preoccupied with staring at Ivy and petting her soft hair to notice. I woke up from my perverted thoughts when Opacho hit me on the head. “Ow!! What was that for?!”

“Master Hao is undressing Mistress Ivy with his eyes! Stop drooling over her!” Opacho scowled at my hormones kicking in yet again.

“I was not!!” I lied through my teeth. I was caught and I knew it.

Opacho's glare intensified. “Well, if you're not drooling over her, then I have to shoot you so the rest of us don't get rabies. You're foaming at the mouth.” He informed me.

I lifted my hand to my mouth; he was right, I was drooling. I glared down at him as I wiped the saliva from my mouth, “I know that.” I stated blandly. “I was talking about the `undressing her with my eyes' comment. Why would I undress her with my eyes when I really could undress her?”

“Doesn't Hao know that his body is too young for such thoughts? Ivy is not even legal yet!! If Hao must though, could he at least wait until she is conscious? He might like it better if she was awake for it…not that Opacho would know…” Opacho got up and walked toward the door. “Just don't do anything to her okay? I'm too young to be an uncle.” He sighed.

Opacho left me, mouth open in surprise. That kid was wise beyond his years, and constantly shocking me into silence. `Awww! I don't want to wait! She'll never let me—but it would be fun to hear her scream…all right. I'll wait, but not for a very long time.'

I scooted Ivy over in the bed a little, so there was room enough for the both of us. I removed my own shoes and got in next to her, covering us both with blankets. I held her tight up against my skin, and noted how well she fit into the curves of my body.

I rested my head close to her shoulder, and to my pleasure, found that the smell of her wafted into my nose. Her hair smelled of coconuts, and her body of vanilla. Her breathing was light, and I could hear her heartbeat.

`This is how I always want it to be…' I thought as I slowly drifted off into my first good night's sleep in a long time.
