Let Sleeping Ivys Lie
I woke up early in the morning, and was overjoyed to find that my sweet angel, Ivy, was still sound asleep in my arms. She was even holding on to me like a teddy bear.
“You're the closest to Heaven that I'll ever be…I better enjoy it while it lasts, right?” I whispered sorrowfully in her ear. She shifted somewhat so that we were more closely mashed together. I laughed softly at her. “Ivy, in the light, you hate me, but the darkness reveals you for what you really are: in love with me. All day you resist me to no end, but at night to early in the morning, you can't get enough. It's as if your goal is to see how close you can come to getting me to ravish you in your sleep.” I gently teased.
I had a great view down her shirt, but instead I opted to gaze at her face. She really was beautiful…soft, wavy, dark brown hair reaching down to her shoulders. Ebony eyes currently hidden by a curtain of deep sleep. Delicious, full, red lips were slightly parted, entreating me to have a taste. I would have loved to make them mine by clamping my own two lips over hers, but it seemed wrong to defile such heavenly lips as those with my two unworthy ones. It would be a sin.
`God, I am the luckiest guy in the history of the world.' I thought to myself. Ivy started to stir a little more as she began to wake.
`Shoot…she's waking up…then she'll hate me again…why can't you always be the Ivy that cuddles up against me at night?—The Ivy that loves me back? But alas, her love changes with the moon…'
Ivy arched her back (thus grinding her pelvis even harder against mine) and made me insane at the close, intimate contact. She yawned softly, letting out a small moan. Her eyes started to flutter open and soon her two perfect crystals were gazing sleepily into mine, not really registering that it was me she was looking at.
“Morning.” I smiled warmly as I whispered a greeting to her.
“Mornin'” she mumbled back, reclosing her eyes and snuggling into my chest to hide from the light of day.
I chuckled softly as I kissed her on the top of the head. “I love you Ivy.”
Her sleepy eyes flew open like shutters as she looked at me, clearly registering whom she was sleeping on. “Ahhhh!! HAO!!!!!!!” She leaped out of my embrace and fell off the bed with a decisive THUMP!! Technically the bed was made for only one person, but that's why I used it for whenever I shared a bed with Ivy.
“Owwwwww…” she moaned.
I looked over the side of the bed at the sprawled out form of my fiancée on the tent floor. “You okay?” I offered her a hand up. “Sorry that I didn't have time to warn you that you were in a twin bed and not a double…” I apologized.
She smacked my hand away and got to her feet herself. “Uhhhhh…I'm swore all over, and I'm exhausted! Do I look okay to you?!”
I gently pushed her up against the side of the bed, and straddled her. “I think you look beautiful, especially after last night…” I pressed my forehead and nose to hers for an Eskimo kiss.
She pulled away as was expected and looked at me in a mix of utter horror and extreme confusion. “Wait…`last night'…I'm sore and exhausted…WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME YOU PERVERT!!!??????!!” She launched herself at me and brutally attacked.
Not that I minded her launching herself at me. It was the punches that hurt. “Ivy!! I swear I didn't do anything!!” I tried to explain.
“Liar!!” She screeched as she ran me around the room, jumping and tripping over various pieces of random furniture.
“I never thought I'd see the day that you'd be chasing me Ivy!” I teased as I dodged a punch to my head. Unfortunately she had another fist, and that one hit hard in the stomach. I sank to my knees and looked up at my enraged love interest.
“It's okay. I only wanted to bash some part of your body. Now that I let some of that anger out, I feel a whole lot better.” She slyly smiled.
I noticed that if she hadn't been wearing shorts under her skirt, that I would have had an interesting view to say the least. “Geez Ivy, do you have to wear shorts and a skirt? I'd be much better for short men if you just wore a skirt.” I teased.
SLAP!! Soon my right cheek stung like hell, but the look on her face was worth it.
“How dare you!” She screamed. I was pretty sure that everyone in the camp was wide-awake by now with all the shouting and yelling.
“Oh, come on, Ivy! You know you like it!” I grabbed her ankles and pushed back, causing her to trip forward, into my out-stretched arms. I had her on the ground, spun around, and sitting on my lap before she knew what hit her. “Just like you like me.” I nuzzled her ear and bit it softly.
“Do not!” She pushed back off of me and stalked over to the other side of the bed, so that it was between us, separating us. “Why do you insist on ruining my life?!” She snapped at me; I saw the tears waiting in her eyes to be unleashed.
I wanted to go over to her and hold her. Ivy acted so tough, that sometimes I forgot that she could be really delicate and feminine too. She wouldn't appreciate the embrace, so I opted to asking, “What do you mean?”
“I mean, kidnapping me when I obviously don't want to be with you.” She stifled a sob. “And involving my own sister in the plot! How could you?” She looked at me, heart breaking, tears running a marathon down her cheeks.
This time I did go over and hold her. I ran my hands up and down her back, whispering “Shhhhhh…everything's going to be okay. Look, I know this is going to be hard to deal with, but Ivy, this whole arrangement was Anna's idea from the start.”
“No…” My poor broken hearted betrothed mouthed.
“Yes.” I knew I sounded a bit harsh, but this was something that needed to be done. “I'm so sorry…your own sister was the one that betrayed you…”
She broke free of my grasp yet again, and sobbed into a pillow. I stood by her and rubbed her back gently as she cried her heart out. After a good fifteen minutes of straight crying, she raised her head, and started to mumble. I had to pay strict attention, but I could hear what she said, “I wanted a real blood family again…I guess I'll never get that…they all hate me.”
“I guess you're in the same boat as me; the Asakuras are out to kill me. I have no one to turn to, and there's nothing I can do about it. They will continue to hunt me till the end of time.” I admitted mournfully.
“I never thought of it that way…” Ivy mused. “I'm sorry.”
“It's all right. I learned to live with it. I'm so sorry about your family though. I don't think that relationship can be helped either…” I gave her back another rub and stood to leave her in peace.
“Wait.” She stopped me in the doorway.
“Yes, Ivy, dearest?” I answered back sweetly.
“Don't call me that, and do I have free range of the camp site like I used to? I mean, you're not afraid that I'll run for it again?” She asked, wondering how much freedom she would be docked for her recent escape.
“Yes. You can roam as far as I let you, but know that I can always check in on you and see what you're up to. You won't be able to run with out me knowing exactly where you are.” I replied only mildly hinting at the new power that I had over her; I could control how far away she got, and I could tell who she was with.
“Okay…” She sighed and returned to sobbing into the pillow.
“Listen, I'll take you out later if you're good..” I promised her. I had the place picked out and everything. If she said `yes' that is…I could only pray.
“Fine.” She sniffled, and I left to make sure everything was in order for that night.
