Chapter 14

<Meanwhile, outside Motople>

Lark had been staring at the setting sun for about an hour now, leaving Frieta with more questions then answers.

"Lark, what exactly did you mean by that energy source?" Frieta asked Lark, hoping to get some answers.

"...I don't exactly know, sis...I've detected strong energies before...but this one...this one makes the others pale...its as if this energy is somehow...special..." Lark said, shuddering after he finished this statement.

"What kind of...special?" Frieta asked, scared after Lark made his remark about the energy.

"I don't know...something more powerful then anything I've ever face or heard of before..." Lark replied to an equally confused Frieta.

"Well, if we are to find out, maybe we should try to get it out of that Shadow!" Frieta shouted proudly.

"Maybe...you might be right on this one, Frieta!! Lets go!" Lark said as he pounded his fists through yet another tree.

"I swear, I'll never understand you, bro..." Frieta said with a bit of laughter in her voice as she and Lark went to find Shadow.

<Meanwhile, at the chili-dog stand>

"Damn!! These chili-dogs are first-class!!" Sonic said happily as he scarfed down more chili-dogs then were being served at a time.

"Sonic, please! Take it easy! You're gonna have the worst case of gas if you keep eating like that!" Sonie said with some humor.

"Hahahahaha...very funy son...I just so happen to love chili-dgos and I plan on it being like that!" Sonic said as he got back to eating his chili-dogs.

Meanwhile, Gina had stayed at the hotel with Susan and Amy to watch after the baby, Sonie, Shadow and Sonic went out to get a chili-dog.

"I must say, Sonic, being a father is very different then I first thought it would be like...this must be how you felt when your son was a baby, huh?" Shadow asked.

"You hit the jackpot, Shadow! Trust me, its gonna get difficult, but its also going to get easier as the years roll by, trust me on this one Shadow!" Sonic said as he went to scarf down another chili-dog.

However, just as Sonic went to bite into the chili-dog, he managed to see Lark and Frieta lundge at him at the last second. Sonic was able to dodge the assault, Lark and Frieta both crashed into the table, breaking the legs and sending the table plummeting on top of them.

"Ha! That'll teach ya not to mess with this hedgehog!" Sonic said, mocking Lark's voice.

However, Lark easily punched through the wooden table like plywood, staring a hole inside Sonic, Sonie and Shadow.

"You think you stand a chance against us?!" Sonie mocked Lark and Frieta, getting in a fighting stance.

"Why...yes I do believe so, my friend!" Lark said as he pushed a button on his wrist, extending his spiked knuckles 2 inches further outward.

"Oh...shit...!!!" Shadow shouted as he barely avoided a vicious swipe by Lark.

"Watch those knuckles!!" Sonie shouted at Sonic and Shadow, knowing full well the deadly potential they had in them.

However, Sonic was too busy trying to fight Frieta to even notice Shadow get knocked to the ground, with Lark approaching his position.

"DAD!! Watch out!!" Sonie lundged at Lark, pinning him to the ground, the knuckles barely missing Sonie's face.

"You little prick!" Frieta shouted as she kicked Sonic in the pelvic region with her pointed boots, and punching Sonie in the face, knocking him out cold.

"Come on, lets go!" Frieta shouted at Lark, who was still down and out.

Frieta shook Lark in an attempt to bring him back to conciousness but to no avail.

"Alright then, looks like I'll have to do things myself!" Frieta said to herself as she removed her leather gloves, revealing two pairs of very lethal claws.

Shadow was helpless after he had been kicked in the face by Lark and Sonic was writhing in pain after being kicked in the nutsack, Sonie was out cold from the punch to the face.

"I'll start with you!" Frieta said evily as she went to force her claws inside Sonie's head.

Frieta was about to puncture Sonie's skull when a bright flash of light startled her and got her attention away from Sonie.

"Who goes there?!" Frieta roared as she extended her claws towards the mystery person.

"You have been a very bad girl, Frieta! I thought that you might have learned your lesson back in Eagle-Eye...but I guess you didn't!" the concealed figure said to Frieta who was pissed off at being interrupted.

"Who are you?! I demand that you show yourself!!!" Frieta yelled as she went to force her claws into the figure's body.

Frieta expected to hear a scream and then a sound of piercing skin, instead, all she got was a face-plant on the ground.

After Frieta had gotten up, she notcied that the figure was no longer infront of her, and she could feel the person breathing down her neck.

"You know, Frieta...If I weren't married, I might actually want to have sex with a fine hedgehog like you! I swear, I haven't seen anything as fine since I met Tikal!" the figure said to Frieta.

All of a sudden, the mentioning of Tikal sparked something in Frieta's head. She remembered a conversation with Lark about some hedgehog named Michael hwo had stopped the evil Bill from destroying the world itself.

"Is it...possible...?!" Frieta was sweating bullets now, she turned around with claws extended and saw the one face she didn't want to see. "YOU!!!"

"The one and only!" the figure revealed himself.

"How can you still be alive?!" Frieta asked acussingly.

"I have my ways...but Tikal gave me some advice on how to get back on earth, so I took that advice, so I was sent back here to save the world yet again!" Michael said.

"Die again!!!" Frieta forced her claws at Michael, who merely caught Frieta's arm and flung her in the air.

"No!! Now its time you and Lark go away!!!" Michael shouted as he picked Lark up and flung him at Frieta, who was still flying in the air.

"This isn't over yet you prrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!!" Frieta shouted as her voice became a mere echo.

"No...its not over...you hoe...its far from over...in fact, its only begun..." Michael said as he went ot check the condition of his father, his fathers son and Shadow.
