Chapter 15

Sonic and Sonie were out cold, but Shadow was starting to get back up. When he saw Michael standing infront of him, though, Shadow almost fainted again.

"Hey, Shadow! How's things going?!" Michael asked in a normal, unconcerned tone, as if he had just woken up from sleeping the other day.

"You-yoyu-you-oyu....!!! You're alive?!?!" Shadow said, surprised at seeing Michael right there.

"Tikal told me about how I could get back here on earth, so I took that advice, and I'm here to save the world again!" Michael said with a confidence only he could pull off.

"Well, right now I think we need to get your father and brother up so that we can explian what happened!" Shadow commented, looking at Sonie and Sonic who were both motionless on the ground.

"...Better yet...I have a good idea..." Michael said to Shadow as he dashed off towards the chili-dog stand, grabbing a couple of chili-dogs and putting them near Sonic and Sonie's noses. "This will replace smelling salts with Sonic!!" Michael said with a grin on his face.

It only took about a minute for the scent of a chili-dog to get Sonic and Sonie off their backs and on their feet.

"Is that a ch-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!?!?!?!!" Sonie said as he noticed Michael standing there infront of them.

"I-I-........Its you!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!!!!!" Sonic cried out as he embraced his son, squeezing him in a very tight bear hug.

"Take it...easy...dad!!" Michael said as his face was starting to turn purple.

"Sorry...I couldn't help myself!!" Sonic said through tears as he started crying on his son's shoulder.

"Thats it, dad...let it out..." Michael said comfortingly to his dad, who was overwhelmed with emotion.

"I hate to say this, Michael, but what is you're mother and sister going to think of this?!" Sonie asked, getting a long silence from Michael in reply.

"Shit...I better get the chili-dogs ready to wake YOU up, Michael!" Shadow said sarcastically as he gave Michael a slap on the back.

"Yeah...I guess so...well, there's no point in keeping them waiting any longer...I guess...lets go!" Michael shouted as he dashed off in his usual style: insanely fast.

"I swear, Sonic, I'll never understand how you're son got all that speed in him!" Shadow said as he and Sonic and Sonie were one step behind Michael's pace.

"I truly don't know, Shadow!" Sonic replied.

<Meanwhile, back at Amy's hotel>

"They've been gone a very long time, I'm starting to get worried, mom!" Susan said as she continued watching out the window for any sign of Sonic and the others.

"I'm sure they just wandered aeound the town, Susan! I wouldn't worry too much, I know Sonic and Shadow can take care of themselves!" Amy replied.

"Well, I just hope they all come back...especially Shadow..." Gina said to herself as she was also watching out the window.

Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Susan saw a orange blur speed past the hotel.

"Hey! I just saw something!" Susan shouted to Amy, getting her mom's attention quickly.

"Is it Sonic?" Amy asked.

"Well, I'm not sure...it was an orange blur...not blue or black like Sonic or Shadow..." Susan said as she didn't go any furthur on the topic, unaware that her mom hadjust about fainted after hearing about the color.

"ORANGE!!!??" Amy said, wide-eyed and jaw dropped as she had to be caught by Gina so she wouldn't hit the ground.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, followed by the sounds of three hedgehog males breathing heavily.

"I swear, Michael, you have GOT to slow down!!" Shadow said, exhausted after trying to run faster then Michael.

"ITS HIM!!!! ITS MICHAEL!!!!!!!!" Susan said with tears in her eyes as she almost ripped the door down from excitement.

"YOU'RE BACK!!!!" Amy shouted in happiness as she tackled her son to the ground, kissing him all over his face.

"Hey, mom! Its...good to see you again...but I'd rather greet you not...laying on the floor..." Michael calmly said, getting no response from his mom.

Amy soon got shoved off by Susan, who enbraced her big brother, crying all over his shoulder, tears of joy streaming down her face.

"I-I-I thought...I'd never-never-s-s-see you again!!" Susan said through tears, her emotions ran very deep for her big brother, Michael.

"Teake it easy, Susan, I know you miss me...but take it easy...!" Michael didn't want broken bones before he even got to meet his family again.

Next thing Michael knew, he was getting gang-tackled by Sonie, Shadow and Sonic, all four figures were fighting for position to hug Michael.

"Please...get off me...I can't...breathe!!" Michael said as calm as he could, apparentely getting their attention so that they got off him.

"Oh! Michael, I'd like you to meet my wife, Gina!" Shadow said with pride as Gina gave him a kiss on the lips in reply.

"Wow!! Way to go, Shadow!!" Michael said, grinning at Shadow and then at Gina, who giggled some.

"I tell you what, Michael, I never thought I'd see you standing here in this place...never!" Sonie remarked.

"Neither did I, bro...neither did I..." Michael replied, walking over to the window, everyone slese following him as if he was the president or something.

Susan was the one who was most happy to see her brother back alive and on earth, since she had come from the wife of Michael, Tikal. She naturally had a chemical bond to her family, especially Michael.

"I just hope he stays this time..." Susan commented to herself as the night sky started clouding up.
