Chapter 30

<Meanwhile, back at Motople>

"SONIC!!!! COME HERE, QUICK!!!!!!" Tails shouted, his voice had fear and shock in it.

"What is it, buddy?" Sonic asked.

"Look! Its Lark! He's been murdered!!" Tails said fearfully.

"Its gotta be Blade's handiwork!!" Sonic commented, clinching his fists in anger.

"We gotta stop him before he decided to kill the human population! He's powerful enough to do such a deed! We need to destroy him before he can do much damage!" Amy said, fearful of what might happen.

"But, what can we do? He's so much more powerful!" Gina stated.

"He may have strength, we have numbers!" Shadow proclaimed.

"Mayeb so...but we still need to be wary of that bastard...who knows where he may strike next..." Sonic commented.

<Meanwhile, about 100 miles from there>

"Wait here, Frieta! I need to take care of some unfinished business..." Chris said,causing Frieta to go bug-eyed.

"Don't! He's a madman! He'll slaughter you like a stuck pig!!!" Frieta said in fear of what Chris was doing to himself.

"I gotta take care of this bastard before he destroys the world! Don't worry about me, and go seek refuge!!!" Chris said with authority.

Frieta nodded her head and flew off to the southwest, leaving Chris to deal with Blade.almost as if on cue, Blade could be seen hovering towards Chris.

"So, the little bitch thinks she can get away fromme, does she?" Blade thought to himself as Chris prepared to face off with Blade.

Suddenly, Blade dashed past Chris and went to where Frieta was going to. Chris gasped at this and ran off to try and beat Blade.

"Get back here!! Your fight is with me!! Not Frieta!!!" Chris shouted, not getting anything but silence from Blade.

Chris had waited long enough and he tackled Blade to the ground. Chris flung a punch to Blade's chest, doing little more then pissing him off even more.

Blade kicked Chris off of him and jumped to his fet with unheardof speed and agility as he was already on he attack. Blade hit Chris with an uppercut, then slashed his left arm with his claws.

The gash produced by the swipe was springing forth blood, making Chris wince in severe pain, leaving him wide open to another attack from Blade.

"Time to get you out of the picture!!" Blade shouted as he dove with his claws extended towards Chris's chest, leaping for Chris's heart. Before Blade could connect, however, Chris jumped out of the way and retailiated with a kick to the back.

Blade got back up easily and fired a blue beam from one of the jeweled shards on his forehead, freezing Chris solid.

"Time to finish this up!!" Blade shouted as he fired a red beam at Chris, who somehow dodged it by breaking out of the ice he was in. "How the fuck?!" Blade shouted in disbelief, unaware that Chris was charging him head-first.

The next thing Blade knew, he felt Chris's skull connect with his chest, causing Blade to fall to his feet in severe pain.

"Oh my...god!!!!" Blade struggled to get out as blood started to pour out of his mouth, a sure sign of an internal injury. "You...little prick!!" Blade shouted as he used the Chaos Emeralds to heal himself, but it was a slow process.

Blade, after about ten minutes, finally healed himself and walked over to where Chris lay on the ground and fired a black beam at Chris's motionless form, killing Chris on the spot.

"Rest in pieces you son of a bitch..." Blade said evily as he picked up Chris's remains and threw them to the ground.

"BLADE!!!"

Blade turned around to see Sonic approcahing his position. Blade stood firm and watched as sonic got right in his face. The two had a stare-down for about three minutes before one of them finally made a move.

"Its been awhile, Sonic..." Blade said.

"Not long enough, Blade..." Sonic replied.

Blade popped his knuckles as did Sonic, the two of them inches away from each other. The electricity in the air was so thick it could be felt in itself.

Finally, Blade struck first, nailing Sonic with a kick to the head. Sonic shook it off and delievered a kick of his own to Blade's chest area, barely phasing him. Blade threw a series of punches at Sonic but they all missed, primarily because Sonic was moving too fast for Blade to keep up with.

"Whats the matter, Blade? Too slow to handle me?" Sonic taunted, making Blade even more pissed then he was before. Sonic dodged yet another kick by Blade and countered by grabbing Blade's leg and piledriving him to the ground. Blade got back up almost immediately in an impressive showing of resilience.

"You are tougher then I origionally expected..." Blade muttered as he soon saw Tails, Knuckles, Michael, Sonie, Susan and Shadow join Sonic in the battle.

The resulting collision would be the most grueling and horrific of all that either of the fighters ever had experienced before in their lifetime.
