Chapter 10

"DAD!!!" Michael was tear-eyed as he saw his father, Sonic, land on the ground.

"Michael..." Sonic said.

Michael was overcome with emotion as he embraced his father in a tight hug.

"I never thought I'd see you again!! I'm so glad you're back!!!" Michael said through tears, embracing his father.

"It feels good to be back..." Sonic said, unable to explain why he was still alive.

"Sonic!!" Tikal saw Sonic and gave him a hug as well.

"Dad...I...I feel I need to tell you something...I don't know how we are going to beat this new evil that has just arisen...I don't know how to even fight it..." Michael said, still crying his eyes out on his fathers shoulders.

"Michael...where is Amy?" Sonic asked concerningly.

"She's in Eagle-Eye..." Michael responded.

"I want to go see her..." Sonic asked.

"Sure thing, dad!" Michael grabbed Tikal and sped off with his father.

Michael noticed that his dad seemed a lot faster then he was before.

"He must've been running during his time in the afterlife..." Michael said to himself as his father was running stride for stride with his son.

Sonic looked at his son and gave him his characteristic grin, causing Michael to give a grin back.

<Meanwhile, back in Eagle-Eye>

Amy was watching TV with Kate, Michael and Tikal's baby girl, having to watch over Kate, and also live with the fact that she would be having a baby any day now, and she had no one to help her.

"If only Sonic were here..." Amy said with a tear in her eye.

Suddenly, Amy heard knocking on the door and went to see who it was.

"Hi Michael!" Amy let Michael in, but then she saw the one person she never thought she'd see again.

"Hi, Amy..." Sonic looked like he had just seen his one love.

Amy, meanwhile, looked like she had just seen a ghost.

"Sonic!!!!!!" Amy grabbed Sonic's chest fur and started pounding her fist on it. "I thought you were gone...I thought you were-were-were-w....dead!!!!!" Amy said, trying to hold back the tears of joy.

"Let it out, Amy..." Sonic gave Amy a kiss on the cheek, causing Amy to let out all her emotion, her tears streaming forth.

"I can't believe you're back, Sonic! I have a baby to deliver any day now!" Amy said, showing Sonic her belly, she was about ten months into her pregnancy and was expecting any day.

"We better get you to a hospital, Amy..." Michael said.

"What about Kate?!" Tikal asked.

"I'll watch over her, Amy..." Amy looked around Sonic to see Chris and the others that had helped Michael and Tikal out.

"Thank you, Chris!" Michael gave Chris a hug.

"C'mon, Michael! You and Sonic have a date with destiny!! You two must fight that monsterous dragon!!" Tikal shouted.

"Dad...I promise you that I won't let you down!" Michael said.

"I promise I won't either, son..." Sonic said with absolute determination.

Sonic and Michael dashed out the door, leaving Tikal and the others behind to hope...hope that the two of them could defeat that creature.
